At 14 you will make gains, but bodyweight training is going to get you stronger, but lean..you are not going to pack on too much mass because you cant really add weight to what you are doing..But you will get a killer workout, you will get stronger, leaner and in damn good shape...but as far as gaining mass, you will to a point....

Use the hell out of it...once you are ready to hit the iron, you will be well on your way to being a beast....

you made a big mistake
you wont see any muscle gains maybe a little strenght for running.
but ive been told by a professional boxing trainer that ankle and wrist weight straps are not good to use.
if iwas you just go and lift rocks or something.or buy a gym membership for the year

yea but guys I'd use the TRX WITH the weight vest so I CAN add weight. I would've bought a power rack setup but I really don't have the space as I live in an apartment. Later on i'll probably get some really heavy adjustable dumbbells. thx guys your responses are appreciated :)

Just keep doing what you are doing little bro, sounds like you have a plan of attack. I see the trainers in the gym put people in a ton of pain with the TRX straps. Keep eating and hit it hard and you will be just fine...

probably buy a years membership at a gym with that or a fucking multigym for thatmatter.

The legal age for gym memberships in Paris is 16 and they cost a fortune as they are all commercial gyms ie. Club Med. My 17 year old bro wastes over 600 euros a year on the membership

Its great to have the support Brandona, I dont see why some people always have to be negative about alternatives to lifting iron

Good luck to you. You have two years to wear the hell outta it and build your first layer of foundation prior to joining a gym at 16. Use the next two years to learn everything you need to know about nutrition and training, build your stamina, protect your joints and gain some lean mass. Then when that gym membership rolls in, you are in pole position for a lifetime of gains.

For now, use this equipment, go running, do bodyweight excercises, study nutrition, study training, study schoolwork, chase girls and enjoy those teen years, before you get old and grumpy like the rest of us.

I just read this but haven't read through the whole thread.

First off, you're 14 and you're thinking about physical development…this is great. Not only great for girls…but great for the rest of your life.

At your age…push ups, pull ups, handstand push ups, inverted rows, and squats or deadlifts performed light with good technique…..
I only did push ups, pull ups, and chin ups/pull ups at your age..and it set a great foundation. I didn't learn to squat properly until i was in my twenties…. so you're way ahead of the game.

I forgot to add.

For eating.. Id just get in the habit of always thinking about protein first when comprising your meals… for example think about eggs or meat etc… and then the carbs and fats… at your height and weight… you can pretty much just eat and eat and eat
