Ah, that sucks... i just aggrevated my lower back today also. I was cleaning up after my incline bench and dropped a plate, heading straight for my foot. In a reflex i bent down and just caught it. Sent a strange jolt through the previously injured area. Does not feel TOO bad right now, but it is stiff and a feels like a minor strain. BUMMER.
Give Big Wides my regards, buddy! Go in and have FUN.

Bench - barx10. 135x5. 225x5. 275x5, 315x3, 315x3, 345x2, 365x1, 365x1, 225x14 (wide grip) Bench numbers are going to go up in the next few weeks.

Tibia Calf Things - 9 sets x 12-8 reps (New and not to be ignored anymore)

Seated Calf Raises - 10 sets 8-12 reps

Peck Deck - 6 sets x 8

Taking my Intra-Aid like it's orange juice. My Tibias are killing me and that is good. More Wednesday. New split once again...prepare for simple insanity.

Hate to say this but we don't really push each other. We spend more time cursing at each other and just naturally don't know how to stop training. Awesome progress with your 260 mark, that is ducky. Enjoy training alone man, it's a whole different animal but it builds character and inner-strength

Certainly was not from lack of trying that night, thanks wedge...guess we can all expect "those days" and just laugh at them later.

I need to get a dip belt with chains but GLOBO has carpet under/around the dip station....DUMB. They need one in the free weight area with the rubber flooring. Always had good dip numbers and it always helped my bench.

And that she's putting together her own web site for her art and she'd like you to be one of the first to comment on it, she's doing 2 art shows coming up AND she's working for a photographer part time now. She said that you can do your powerlifting but she wants to see some of your art STAT!!! She likes you work...don't disappoint....the girls got a mean high kick.

Explain strict overhead press for me because I already do my military's seated and bring the bar all the way down. (Elbows cannot go any lower) Wides and I also have a tendancy to pause at the bottom with them too so it's pushing from dead weight. It's one of the best moves we do actually.

In the gym I'm in I would not trust anybody walking by with me doing that. We are at the point now where we might just rope off or put up yellow caution tape where we train because of all the idiots walking next to us! Not only that, we can't really drop the bar if we had to from that height. I would do those in a real powerlifting gym but not GLOBO. They kinda bug my spine more too because I have a decent curve in my spine already.

Actually, we have to learn how not to train heavy every session haha It's like a lighter weight mental block. Both Big Wides and I are nursing low back injurys but yet we still keep smashing it. (We won't win any Nobel Prizes anytime soon)

I'm looking to take a foray into powerlifting for a comp early next year. I'm looking to turn my training according ASAP to accommodate. Do you have any suggestions or places you could point me? I know you trained with Wides for a recent show he participated in.

Check out the articles using Westside training. I don't feel I could dedicate the time to you that you would need giving you advice myself. Just being honest, it is a serious thing I don't want to shortchange you on. PM me some details, maybe I could critique.

Back/Leg Accessory Day, 7/30/09 at 8PM

Trained with Big Wides

Lat Pulldowns - 8 sets 12-3 reps, did the stack for 3 on the 6th set (sort of)

Leg Ext. - 8 sets of 8, Bodymaster machine..very tough from the start...great pump.

Single Leg Ext - 8sets of 15-8

Reverse Grip Pulldown - 3 sets of 5, last 2 with 3 pies

Seated Calf Raises - 10 minutes worth of work
