i figured its time for a new thread, ive reached a new level of lifting and have a new method. As some of you know i train base off of the Westside Method. i will start posting my wos this coming monday....

So those of you that know me know what im about, and those that dont will find out.

my split looks like:
Monday-ME LOWER
Tuesday-ME UPPER
Wednesday-off/cardio
Thursday- DE LOWER
Friday- DE UPPER

I have a meet on Dec 13 in which im hoping to total 1400+.

and a note to the boys+girl from my other thread i would like to keep the BS to a slightly lower level than we are used to..

since im going to attempt new 1RMs this week im gonna take it easy and just do some light stuff today, work on form and all that shit... gonna work up too like 405 on squat so i can see if the foot can handle the weight..

OK so i tested the waters...

bench
warmed up

hit 365 for 4 singles, each with a different set up.. found me one i really like.. which im sure is the one most lifters use...

squat
warmed up
405x2, just used a belt, think i may have lost some strength in the legs over the weeks... but i think i can easily get 570+.. foot was ok, didnt bother me really while i lifted...

talked to my frined pico, hes doing the same show as dannynb.. so thats gonna be interesting to see how they both place..

dude i can walk pretty normally, its almsot healed, i can squat on it so im not to worried.. there is one physio place here, but im not gonna go cause i have no reason, its just a deep bruise..

i sepnt on avg between 100-150 on groceries at least 2x a month, depends on teh amount of funds left after bills and what not.. sometimes i have to go over 2 weeks on the same amount of food i would normally take in a week..

im happy a froze chicken and have some beef leftover but basicaly im runnin on 50 bucks a week so its all ground beef and peanut butter. 6x a day for 1 month.

yeah well 10lbs chicken 11 of gb, pb, rice, tea, frozen brocoli, and cheap filet mignons are mys taples and i eat alot fo them, especially beef.. its sooo tasty

i wish i could have variety but i am in deep debt now, its gonna be tight this month.

i have my family meals and left overs and then my frozen extra foods i bought on sale awhile back, then ground beef and peanut butter, thats it.

beef just tastes so much better.. im absolutely sick of chicken but i eat it almost everyday... I started cooking it in canola oil for variety, maybe not the best choice but its a hell of a lot better than normal ass chicken

and variety for me is like pizza or hot pockets maybe a nice mexican reataraunt, actually where i live mexican isnt variety its a staple for the most people

ground beef on sale in bulk is very cheap man, or chicken drumsticks if you can handle booring and cookin them for 2 hours.

the chicken drumsticks give you like 80 grams protien per dollar! when bought in the bulkier size

yeah i realized that ima have to DL alot, but fuck i hate pulling, i would rather train arms on an elliptical than pull...

i plan on keeping on like i am, my diet was off today too cause i was tryin to get all teh carby sugary goodness i could, plus i ate oreos to comfort myself after i trained.. i was sad :(

man i barely unracked 600, the pegs were either to high or to low, so it was a bitch to unrack.. and i couldnt really bend my knees due to my wraps so that was interesting....

It's taken me a lonnnnnggggg time to find my groove in both my squat and my pull, always stay open minded to varying your technique. Right now I think you just need to work on your pull in general. Start cycling it on your ME days and strive to get stronger with it. Before you know it your pull will be a problem of the past.

farmers walk kick ass, seems liek great cardio, so i think i may throw them in periodically on leg days..

todays been a weird day, after i worked on my AG paper with my partner i came home an just have been mad at the world all day, and the weights were no exception, kinda like punished myself, but ive yet to figure out why! LOL

i hate how plers and strong men neglect arms, especialy when its a strongman.

strong arms are crucial fuck.

i curl every week with momentum and lots of weight so i can be strong all over

we dont neglect them, we just dont need them so its not a priority, but they are trained..

PLUS with all the back work that gets done it works the bis at the same time.. so they are trained quite well

yes and no, some guys respond well to that but some really dont. id still give them some good attention with 3 extra sets of hammers or something.

the muscle has to learn how to work on its own aswell as in a conetic chain to be truely strong.

yes well hence the hammers today, and my arms were already worn before i did them, so id say i hit my bis pretty good with all my rows, i do REV grip to help out... my friend danny doesnt really train his arms and hes a BB, he does heavy compund movements, trains arms on occasion just for the hell of it..

Hey I feel the same way about the bench press as you do about the deadlift, I have long ass arms, and I'm weak as fuck at it. But I know if I ever want to compete I got to work my way up to at least 300 on it, so every week I'm trying to get stronger at it. Little by little just try to add some weight on it, and before you know it you'll get it up.

You know I know that bar doesn't get much respect here on the forvm, but I recently read a book where the author praised it, and recommended it over the barbell.

Just throw 5 or 10 lbs more than your current pull, so it won't seem much if at all heavier, do that in a 3 week cycle and before you know it you'll have added 20 lbs or so to your dead.

Just remember small jumps for big gains in the long run. I added 220 lbs to my pull by simply adding 5 lbs to the bar every week. A lot of guys (not saying you're one of them) add too much too quick.

Just trying to help you with your pull here bro, I want to see you break this barrier!

Holy crap, the pages have doubled since the last time I checked. Your bench and deadlifts are heavy heavy, and your squat is fantastic. Those are some great numbers, keep it up!
