You get them with all the fruit? or do you nix the fruit and eat them straight up with whip cream?

I read online each crepe is only 220 kcals (with all the toppings).. man.. that is unlike IHOP

Add the nutella crepe with fruit and it staggers over 1000 hahaha. Fuck yeah I put fruit and shit on there. If I'm going to IHOP for food, what's the point of eating clean?

Crepes FTW. I love how every other post in my thread now has something to do with IHOP. You know what this means?!? It means IHOP will most likely be in the mix this weekend. I'm trying to stay away, but hell, I just can't seem to avoid that place. As long as its in the morning its OK, and by morning I mean like 10am, not 3am.

Yes sir, going back to the old school styles. HardFast has 52g carbs in its formula, which is plenty for me. Another good thing is that it doesn't bloat me up like Torrent does. And all those extra 'goodies' ain't a bad thing.

Lovin' the gym. I hit legs with the training partner on Tuesday. I'm a man that doesn't like change too much, so hitting it with him was a bit different. He tossed out ideas, as did I. We went with what we both felt like doing. I wouldn't normally do a single leg press and follow it up with a regular leg press, but it felt good, and I pushed some solid weight.

Apollon Gym itself is great. I love it. Blood and Guts is still playing every day on the DVD player. Its nice an cool in there, not a sweatbox, which is great for me. And the best part about it is the drive home, which is cut in half due to me avoiding rush hour.

A year at Apollon would be optimal, but we have to see what happens.

Ahh I'm going to try to avoid it. Christmas is next week, so the diet won't be great during that time. I'm hoping to hold it strong until then.

Since my show, I've been doing my training HIT ala Dorian Yates. One major set per exercises, past failure. Results have been great so far. Its odd .. I'm more sore now then I was when doing 12-14 sets for, say, chest. Now I'm hitting 4 sets and my chest is on fire for days.

Honestly, I'm not sure where the body weight is. My weight has been going up and down due to holiday eating/weekends and then eating super clean. I'd like to say I'm still around 205. My strength has been steadily increasing, which is always a good thing. Once this weekend is over, its pedal to the medal.

I wasn't a big fan of being so regimented in that I 'had' to do certain exercises. I like going into the gym and going with the flow. I'll know I'm hitting chest, but I'll just go with what I feel like doing. I didn't like staring at the logbook and it telling me to do incline DB's that day. I did like the system and I gained some good strength on it. I've carried some of its principles over to my current system, which is basically HIT. I still do the DC stretches at the end of every body part, and I'm sure to really concentrate on making the muscle work. I'll throw in some rest-pauses every now and then for good measure. I stopped it after a few weeks of starting this log. At the time, I grouped with my trainer who helped me through my prep, and I just fell into his split for an easy transition.

Yes sir. I thought I had more time. I finished my first movement and checked my phone. Usually I don't bring my cell phone into the gym, but I was waiting for my buddy to let me know where he was at. At that time, he was about 30min out, so I had to move it. I made all the movements count, so overall, still effective.

Yes sir. I know the smith machine weighs less than a standard barbell, but I keep it the same for ease of calculation. I do the same for all hammer strength machines.

In my 24 years of gracing Planet Earth, which seems to be deteriorating by the minute, I've never once made any type of new years resolution. Some habits are meant to be broken, while others are meant to remain set in stone. The basic and true principles of training will always remain a constant for me. Family values, respect, and continuing to be a genuine person will also be kept consistent. However, there are a few changes I plan on making this year, and not only for the year, but for the rest of my life. Some of these goals/resolutions revolve around training. Some revolve around other people in my life. And others deal with the general facets of my life, as well as where my life is going. The future is affected by the decisions we make today. So stand up, be heard, be proud, and go get whatever it is you're striving for. No one else matters but you. You are one. Don't let anyone tell you you 'can't' do something, or that you're not good enough. Discouragement comes from all the doubters that fill your head with nonsense only because they don't have the balls to get it themselves. Kick that bitch to the curb. Tell 'em to go fuck themselves. Go get what you deserve.

General Resolutions:
- Let the past be the past.
- Sometimes it's OK to show weakness. Although we feel like it at times, we're not made of stone.
- Open up; be vulnerable. If you put that wall up long enough, sooner or later, no one is getting in, and no one wants to be alone.
- expand your mind/body/soul. I'm a bodybuilder, 100%. I love the sport and everything that goes along with it, but I also like to live life and experience things.
- Take some chances. Take a risk.

Training Resolutions:
- Deadlift 500lbs before the Arnold
- Hit 215 'lean' before the Arnold
- Get to 232lbs before 2011, a shit-load leaner than how I was last time at 232lbs.
- Rep 315 on the squat
- Press 120's on incline DB Press

Yup. I either start off with incline barbell or dumbbell. Very few times I'll throw in flat db presses first. My strength has sky rocketed since my show, and I'm as strong, if not stronger than I was when I was at 232lbs, and I'm at 205lbs right now. Now I gotta get the diet on track again to start adding on legit mass.

Been pretty busy lately with work and other stuff going on. I've been out of the loop with everyone's progress, but I still try to dip in to everyone's journeys once in a while.

Anyway, since the New Year is gone, its time to get this shit rocking. For the past 6 weeks, I've basically kept everything in neutral. I haven't really tried gaining too much weight, nor have I lost any. I've been eating pretty clean during the week and then having a little fun on the weekends. I've already warned all my friends that once NY was here and gone, shit was about to get real. So here we go .... 100% right through Columbus.

Meal 3: 9oz london broil, 5oz baked potato, 4oz broccoli

Yesterday was an off-day. I drove home from work and stopped at ShopRite to pick me up some more food. All I needed was some red meat and some chicken. Unfortunately, this week is one of those rare times where chicken is not on sale. Every Sunday, I check the circulars for 5 different places and most of the time, at least 2 have chicken on sale. Not this week. O well. Shit happens, right?

I scooped up a twin pack of london broil and 2 packages of chicken for <$25, still not too bad. I got home and begun cooking while I ate my 6th meal. After all was said and done, I had some down time. I decided to play some Call of Day; that new one. My bro is obsessed with the game, and he's pretty nasty. Me? I suck, haha. But I still have fun playing. Seriously though, people need to get lives! I played that for about an hour and then hit the sheets.

My legs are still sore as hell today from Tuesday's workout. After squatting, my legs were feelin' swole and I wanted to chase it. After a failure set of vertical leg press, I felt nausea and dizzy. I was seeing stars. I loved it. My training partner asked what I wanted to do for hams next. I looked at him, smirked, and said ''I'm not done with quads yet'. I was on the brink, and I wanted to push myself over the edge. Gotta love this shit. We hit some lunges and then went into hams. I'm torched.

Tonight is shoulders and triceps. I'm feelin' some heavy free weight. Let's see what happens .....

Yeah man, I'm fortunate enough to have 5 different places all within a few miles. I just hop around to each one depending on the week. This place I just uncovered usually sells it in family packs for $1.49/lb. Score.

I jokingly told him I wanted to do the entire workout again, harder than I originally did. But i gotta be smart here. Three days of complete rest will do me good. Then I have a meeting with the Enforcer for a back workout on Friday followed up with 2 more full days' rest. Ohh shit.

Yup. I feel refreshed, almost as if I've fallen in love with this game all over again. It feels good.


Lookin strong bro ....those days off did u good Im sure. Damn that is impressive doing bench press 3rd in the chest rotation...wheew. 20 reppers on cable curls that sounds challenging...Im gonna give that a try. Keep growin.....

Those off days were a blessing, C. I'm sure you know just as well as I do that those off days are tough to handle; you just can't stand being away from the iron. But in the end, we all have to listen to our bodies and play it smart if we want longevity in this game.

Yeah I just hit that 'switch' on the final set. The first few were in the 12-15 mark. Then my partner knocked the whole stack for 12, then it was my turn.


Looking good my man. Solid weekend with Enforcer is always a good time.

The 'go-to' person if you ever need a 'kick in the ass' to train harder.


How you like the Hammer Strength for Chest?

For over a year now, I've always started every body part off with some type of controlled movement, whether it be a machine, or a hammer strength. Barbells are fine too, but never do I start off fresh with a DB exercise, unless its a fly. I feel that if I start off with a heavy DB press, I risk injury. Starting off with a HS press, or a barbell press allows you to warm up the joints/muscles a bit before going into a heavy press with big weight in each hand. Incline HS is one of my favorite exercises, along with HS shoulder press.

Not too many 'fitness centers' have these machines, but some of the old hardcore gyms still consider them a staple for leg day

Actually, I've been rocking 3s CarbMax in my postWO for a while now. Before that, I was using HardFast, which has about 52g carbs in it. That shake is my last meal with carbs. The final two meals are just proteins and fats while I try to 'refine the physique'. But I feel my body is craving more food now.

I've been keeping my carbs low, about 5-6oz potatoes with meals 2-4. Two-thirds cup oats in the morning and then the 3s CarbMax postWO. After that, the final two meals are carbless while I try to 'refine' what I have. In about two weeks, I'll made some changes to incorporate more carbs to start packing on size.
