Brothers I need some help.

Been physically inactive for the past 3 weeks, managed to rupture a blood vessel in two different spots on my right quad playing Rugby. Doctor initially told me it'd take a good 4-6 weeks to heal. From where it stands now I'm guessing its at 85% and will be good to go by this time next week. Of course to top it off I got sick with Sinusitis and an Upper Respiratory Infection early last week.

I've been trying to keep eating buts been tough, I know I've lost at least 10 pounds since the injury and sickness. I've got enough Pak to last me til March and plenty of whey and casein protein. My Buddy Z who's a strength and conditioning specialist said once I'm healthy he'll have a lifting and running program ready to go. More than likely the first month and a half I'm back will be devoted to Endurance training to rebuild a base before I move on to Hypertrophy training.

I'm guessing I'm definitely going to need Nitro in this next stack along with Omega and probably Flex. I'm wondering what you think of throwing Cuts for a little edge in there since I will be doing a lot of cardio for those 6 weeks.

Thoughts?

Personally, if I've already lost 10lbs.... I'd hold off on the cuts until I put some weight back on. I'd probably throw some Pump in there to add an edge if you want to get some energy into your workouts.

Definitely. You dont want to lose more weight. The weight will come right back off when you get back to training for Rugby.

The supps you're planning on taking are good. Then when you get back to weight training, throw a creatine based product in the mix.

Well it all depends bro, what are your goals?

If you're trying to put those 10lbs back on, I'd stay away from cuts for now. But it depends on what you're trying to do ..

The goal I still have to decide on because I could go one of two ways:

Since I'm down to 199 as of this morning, I figure I might just take the cuts, drop some fat and take the spring season off since its non-league games (which the parents are pushing for because of the injuries so far). Without playing week in week out I could take a more weight lighting approach to training so I'd slim down the BF% as much as possible until Feb-March then bulk up the next 5-6 months for the fall season.

Or

I could do the bulk starting when I'm cleared, put all the weight back on and then some, and maintain as best I could playing the spring season.

Obviously two very different goals, but I believe in planning so I'm open to my options and stacks to try for either. One way or the other I'll be back in the gym on the 30th. so until then I'm completely open to suggestions.

Well bro once you make the choice as to what you want to do, then it will be much easier to give you a badic supplement plan to work with

Word, a fellow rugger in the spot! Sorry to hear about the injuries, but hey, it's part and parcel of the sport. You'll be back though and better than ever. I'd say no, don't take the cuts. In fact, I'd say never take it unless you stop playing all together. With the amount of running that we have to do, a product the dehydrates you and raises your core temp is something you definitely want to stay away from. Remember, it doesn't matter how shredded you are in rugby, it's all about your cardio and lung capacity as far as fitness goes. Some of the most in shape players I've met have been props. What position do you play, btw? That will give a better idea for what you need to be doing.

I've been moving all around lately. Started as a Hooker, thought my playing days were over when I graduated college. But we found a loophole that let me come back as a Grad Student. Played 8 man for the majority of the season. As for next season I'll more than likely be a forward, I'd guess Flanking as our regular 8 man will be back from injury.

Cool, that was kind of my situation last year, but as our entire front row graduated, the coaches thought I would do well at prop. Anyways, at back row it's true you don't want much extra weight slowing you down, but I'd still wait until you start lifting/exercising again and see what your body does before trying any thermos.
