when i'm not paying the bills in the gym, i have this part-time 9-5 gig i do. unfortunately i am required to travel. i was wondering what guys/gals do when they find themselves on the road? has anyone had any problems bringing sups on a plane? are they going crazy at the security gates with protein bars and what not?

traveling already sucks -- bad food, bad sleep -- does anyone have any tips?

I travel alot, too. I usually just bring like a day's worth of servings of supps with me in the briefcase that I carry on board (in case my luggage gets lost), and throw the rest of my shit with my check-on baggage.... and, no, I ain't talkin' about the Ex! Security has always been cool about it; as long as it's pre-packaged (like Paks, bars, etc.), I've never had any probs.

I travel a lot for work and thats why I love the pak system. It makes it easy to throw some paks in my suitcase.

I have brought protein powder too and no issues with security.

Hey Man,
I'm going on the road for about 5-6 days on job interviews and such and won't be able to lift. I'm wondering what supplements are good to take on the road with me such as Aminos or Arginine or anything else to make sure I don't lose any gains? Thanks for the help!

Take a peak at the link below.

Can Animal Nitro help me keep my muscle even when I'm not lifting?

Has anyone traveled to Germany with cans of Animal products with them ? Does anyone know if any of the ingredients are banned there ? I have a few friends there and would like to ship some Animal to them. I just want some input on what you guys think.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think they should be good to ship there....I dont think that they have the same bans that the states do because we have different political agendas...is it a apo address or a regular address...?

If it is in your checked luggage you will be fine

For the most part I'm pretty sure countries like Germany and others in Europe and the east ban less shit than the US does...but who knows, I don't even know who you could get in touch with to ask something like that...

How many here on the FORVM travel frequently? I know there are a ton of military here, so not talking about deployments per se, but shorter TDY’s or business trips for the regular folks out there. I travel quite a bit. Usually because of the nature of my job, I’m able to drive, and it’s usually to the same places within Texas and the surrounding states. However sometimes like now, I’m in Florida, where I was unable to throw three extra bags of food and coolers and all the other crap that we bring along with us. I had to fly here and was at the mercy of my two bag limit. One suitcase of clothes that will hopefully last two weeks and my huge duffel bag filled with my supps….and the magic bullet came along on this one. So the point of this thread….

What do you guys sacrifice to bring along your supps if anything? I’m currently bulking so a tub of real gains along with my other staples took up an entire bag.

My room is shitty this trip, a small fridge and microwave. How do you get in all the food you need without the modern conveniences of home, i.e. stove/oven to cook, large fridge, food containers for preparation?

I just went to a local Publix to stock up on some already cooked meat and some other shit that will keep for a few days and offers little prep time.

This isn’t really intended for my info, but even though I’m a grizzled vet when it comes to traveling around the states, I’m always up for new ideas. Not one to start new threads often, but I thought this would offer some good info to everyone.

So I'm sitting here in my hotel room in LA choking down some Oscar Mayer chicken breast strips (you know the kind with the brown crayon stripes to make it look "grilled"), simultaneously eating some turkey pepperoni to dull the taste of the plain chicken, I think to myself, "maybe I'll start a thread about eating on the road".

Low and behold whilst using the search function, I did start a thread back in Oct. Who knew!? So why not bump my own thread for the hell of it...I mean, 33 whole people out of 13000 looked at it last time! If I can double that to maybe .5% of the populous here, I'll feel pretty damned good.

So this trip I have a very small fridge, no microwave...and that's it. I'm at the mercy of what the Kroger down the street has in "pre-cooked" meat. There's not much. I eat out of course, but as much as we eat, it's pretty unrealistic and very expensive. There's a smoothie king close by, which I'm guessing by the end of the week will know my name and have my shake ready as I walk through the door. Other than that, it's OM fake-me-out grilled chicken and turkey pepperoni.

Any other Animals frequently travel?

You could do what I did on my last trip. Last week I was less than 1 week out from a contest and was gonna be gone for a few days and the hotel only had a fridge and a microwave. I made meals before I left and packed them in a few coolers then packed them in my suitcase that I checked. I also put my protein in baggies and then in my shakers. I was able to get all my meals in with the appropriate food that I needed.

if that tub of real gains is opened and you already used some of it then id open it up and throw in some little packets of pak or whatever other pill formed paks you're taking.

hey every little bit counts right?
