ive been reading that one should take in fast digesting carbs and protein (i.e. WMS and whey) immediately upon waking to stop catabolism and then eating whole foods 30-45 min later. does anyone do this and is it really that important??

i usually wake up..get my aminos and while making my eggs and oatmeal..idk about anyone else thats what works for me

I suck down a protein shake right after I get up in the morning, but I dont eat carbs until an hour later. Thats just what Ive found works best for me though.

unless you're an extreme hardgainer there's no reason to take in sugar just because you've slept... maybe have a banana and a whey shake upon wakening up, and have a large breakfast an hour later... just my two cents

I do the same. I have a serving of EAA stack while my breakfast is cooking. It's what I've always done.
