I just ordered my next stack, and I can't wait until it gets here. I got the Paks (of course), M-Stak, Storm, Shock Therapy, plus ON 100% Whey GS. It'll be Here in a week or so. Here's where I'm starting out:
182 lbs, 10% BF
Bench=225
Squat=345
Dead=345
I am definitely looking for some mass and strength, and I hope this stack helps out. I'm going to be in the weights until it gets here, so I'll post it if anything changes before it all shows up.

I got the stack in the mail the other day, so I've taken it twice so far this week. Unfortunately, my workouts are centered around strength for now, so I don't get to feel that great pump I used to get from Shock Therapy. I'm only doing sets of 3-5, with quite a bit of rest in between, so I just don't have the volume needed to get that pump. I'll be doing a "pump week" in three weeks though, so that week should be fun. I have never ate this much in my entire life either. I keep underestimating myself in the gym, just because I've never gone in with so much food in me before. I'm doing the "Winter Blast" workout from the Jan 07 issue of Muscle & Fitness. I had some trouble getting the weights right the first time through the cycle, but hopefully I'll have it figured out by the end of the week. In this log, I'm only going to update body weight changes, measurements, and effects on my 1RM. As of now, I'm 182: Waist=34", Neck=16", Chest=42", Arms=15", Forearms=12", Thighs=25", Calves=15"

I'll say it again...I fuckin' love this stack. I honestly don't know why anyone would ever spend more money on supplements when these ones work so damn good. I feel stronger every single time I leave the gym. I attack the weights now, like they are there for me, not the other way around. I did two sets of 5 dips each today with a 75 pound dumbell hanging from my waist. Now I know there are many on this forum that 75lbs. is nothing to, but for me that is absolutely huge! My 1RM bench is 225, but today, I did 200 X 4, twice. I could be repping my current 1RM by the end of next month! I did 195 X 4 twice on incline too. These are crazy weights for me, I can't even tell you guys how stoked I am about this. I love the stack, and I love the program I'm on right now.

I've had to take a few days off lifting thanks to work. It's been three days since I've been to the gym...this sucks. The only good part is, is the time off has allowed me to grow, I have gained 4 pounds during these three days. Recovery time really is grow time. I think I'm going to take advantage of this and take a day off between every round of workouts, not every other round. I like lifing heavy, but I like growing even more. Weight is up to 187, and just as solid as when I started.

Well, brothers, I'm going to be down for a while. I had to go to the doc yesterday, and I'm having crazy lower back spasms. They gave me a shot and some drugs, but I'll be out of the gym for a few more days. It looks like it'll be about a week between my last workout and my next. I have exactly a week of M-Stak left, so the plan is to order another can, and start over. I'm going to start over on the M-Stak, and add Flex to the stack to help out my joints. I'll have a really good idea of where to start over on the "Winter Blast" program too. I'll just have a new starting point. I'm not letting this keep me down for long though; I'll be back in the iron ASAP.

I told you I wouldn't let this back pain keep me away from the weights. I just got back from my "tester" chest workout. I didn't go AS heavy, but I did get an awesome pump. Man I missed that! I can tell my endurance was down a lot though; by the time I got to my Tri's, they were already wasted. Right now I'm trying to choke down the last half of my post-workout bagel. That's proving to be harder than the workout was. I already had my shake (2 scoops ON 100% whey, and a pint of 2% milk), and I just don't think there's room for the rest of this bagel. I'll find somewhere to put it though...gotta eat to grow. Fuck the pain...I won't let it hold me back.

Man, leg day just wasn't the same without squats. I didn't want to try 'em yet because of the back thing, but I did get in a good workout. I did leg presses for high reps, and that felt great. 600 X 15, 650 X 15, 650 X 12, all deep too. I did really high rep extensions and curls, 2 sets of 25 each. Shoulders got it today too, mostly high reps, all in the 10-15 range. Everything is feeling good so far. Tomorrow is back day, that'll be the test for my back. I know I can do pull-ups, because I did a few on chest day. The question is going to be will it handle Bent Over Rows. I probably won't do Deads yet either. Probably a lot of machine rows and stuff. I can't wait for my next can of M-Stak and Flex to get here, and this back to heal up so I can get heavy again. Another day down brothers.

I never did back the other day. My lower back just hurt too much to risk it. I'm feeling a lot better now though, so it's back to the heavy stuff tomorrow. My next can of M-Stak, and a can of Flex should be here tomorrow too. It'll be chest/tri's, as heavy as I can go. I can't wait.

03-12-07, 2:43 pm
I hit chest/tri's hard today for the first time in like two weeks. I surprisingly didn't lose much strength at all. So, here is the new starting point for my "Winter Blast" program:

Incline: 185 X 5 (a little too light), 195 X 4+1
Flat: 195 X 4, 195 X 4
Decline: 195 X 5, 195 X 4
X-Over: 6 plates X 5 (way too light), 8 plates X 5
Close Grip Bench: 165 X 5, 175 X 4+1
Dips: 75 X 5, 75 X 5
Skull Crushers: 70 X 5, 80 X 4

My first can of M-Stak is almost gone, and I don't feel like I gave it a real chance to work it's magic. I really like my results so far though. The next can should be here today, so I'll start that one a week after my last pack from this one. I should really be able to get back to a normal routine now. I'll be off for the rest of this month, and then I'll be working nights. It'll give me a chance to get back to a normal workout schedule. I'll just go right before work every night, and then whenever on Saturday. I'm just going to post my next two workouts, which will be the starting points of the new cycle; and then the last three workouts of this cycle, in three weeks.

Ok, I just got back from an unexpected road trip back to Ohio. I worked out today for the first time since the 13th. I felt like my life was giving me a sign. Ever since I started the Winter Blast program, alls I did was get fat, and be kept out of the gym for weeks at a time. I got the message, so I scrapped that program. I'm just going to get back to what was working for me last year. I'm going to eat clean, but I'm not going to nit-pick about not getting enough of this or too much of that, just a good clean bodybuilding diet. I'm going to go back to a basic workout plan...12 sets for major body parts, 9 for the minor ones. Here was my Chest/Tri workout for today:

Pre-Fatigued chest with 2 sets of 15 each Flat Dumbell and Incline Dumbell Flyes with 30's.
Flat Bench: 155 X 12, 185 X 3, 165 X 5, 135 X 8
DB Inc Bench: 60's X 7, 55's X 8, 50's X 8+neg, 45 X 8
Skull Crushers on a decline bench: 40 X 15, 50 X 9, 50 X 9
Rope Press-Downs: 60 X 4+neg, 50 X 7+hold, 40 X 8+hold
Hit ABs a bit afterwards

I could definitely tell the difference between this workout and the Blast ones. I got a GREAT pump, due to the increased volume, and a lot less rest between sets. The weights dropped a lot, but that's to be expected. I felt awesome after today's workout none the less. The stack is still the same, I just started it again with a dose of M-Stak and Flex last night before bed, and everything today (Paks, M-Stak, Flex, Storm/Shock Therapy).

Back and Bi day today, and what a day it was. I started off with 20 minutes on the ellip first thing this morning. A few hours, and two meals later, I rolled in for Back Day. I took some advice form The Oak, and started off with as many sets of pull-ups as it took to get to 30; today it was 7. Here's the rest:

T-Bars: 55 X 15, 70 X 12, 90 X 7, 100 X 6
Deads: 225 X 8, 3 ea 275 X 5
BB Curl: 95 X 5, 85 X 4, 65 X 6, 45 X 8
DB Spider Curl: 25 X 8, 20 X 12
Alt DB Curl: 25 X 8, 20 X 12

I have lost a lot of strength, and endurance. I did it to myself, but it's frustrating just the same. I filled my body with crap for nearly two weeks, while I was back home, and now I have to live with shitty workouts until I get back to where I should be. I'm really pissed, but like I said, I did it to myself. They certainly don't call 'em DEADlifts for nothing either! I usually save them for last, just because you have nothing left after a few good sets of Deads. By the time I got to my Bi's today, they were already toast. I couldn't get the weight up for shit, but at least I got a good pump. I definitely have some work to do.

I had the best workout since I came back from vacation today. I must have finally worked out all the junk. I only had one meal in me when I went too, so it was very surprising that I had such a good workout. I pretty much got up, shoved in a meal and all my supps, and went. Here it was:

Warmed up with some DB raises: 20 X 6 side/6 front, 20 X 6 side/6 front
PCP's: 75 X 12, 95 X 7, 105 X 6, 115 X 3 (the last two were both PRs)
Rear Delt Raises: 25 X 15, 30 X 12, 35 X 8
UR Rows: 135 X 5, running low on time, skipped to dips
Dips: 20, +40 X 10+2, +40 X 7+3+2
Decline Skull Crushers: 70 X 6, 70 X 4
Decline California Presses: 70 X 9.5

Just to clarify some of the exercises, just in case: a PCP is just a clean/press off the rack instead of off the ground (Partial Clean/Press); and a california press is when you bring the bar down like a skull crusher, but drop your elbows to press it up like a close grip bench press. Both are killer exercises, and I like them a lot. I just loved the intensity I had this morning, it really was a fun workout. I'm going to stick with the workouts I used this week, only thing is I'm going to do Bi's with Shoulders, and Traps with Back. I liked this week as far as workouts go. I think my BF% is already starting to drop a bit, and the weights will go up in no time as I get used to the new routines.

I stepped on the scale this morning, and couldn't believe what it said. That scale had 175.8 on it. I was sick the other night, and it cost me six pounds, and I've lost another two since then. I haven't been able to hit the weights as heavy as I was, but I've been working out pretty hard. I'm going to have to start eating more if I want to get to my goal. I'm in real good shape, I just need to put on more mass. I better get started.

I had a really good workout today; GREAT intensity. I stayed away from deads, but I think that actually helped me get more out of the other lifts. I really like the back/trap pairing, as opposed to back/bi's. It took me one less set to reach 30 pull-ups today, but I did them all wide except the last two were neutral grip. I really want to increase my back width, so I'm going to start doing more than just the pull-ups. Today, I did some pull-downs as wide as the bar would let me go. My thickness and detail are there, but I'm nowhere near as wide as I need to be. I heard that stretching really hard and really often helps spread the lats and shoulders out (like doing pull-overs to expand the ribcage), has anyone heard of this, and does it work? Anyways, I really think this stack is helping out a lot. I have lost like 10 pounds this week because I was sick, but as soon as I got back to the gym, it was like I never missed a workout. My strength and intensity were still there. This is a great stack.

There's just something about that feeling. That feeling of pride and accomplishment you get when you hobble out of the gym after a brutal leg workout. Your thighs are throbbing, and you can barely even get into your car. I had THAT kind of workout today. That leg day that just makes everyone else in the gym think you're nuts...that leg day that lets every one else in the gym KNOW you're an animal.

Damn, I love leg day.

I had a pretty bad chest workout yesterday because I drank too much on Sunday night. I am making sure that doesn't happen again. On the flip side, I had an awesome back/trap workout today. I added weight to every lift, and reps to previous weights for every lift as well. I even did some pull-overs at the end, and I like how that finished off the workout, so I'm going to do them every time for a while. My weight is back up to 187-188, so it must have just been all water I lost last week when I got sick. I have been able to be a lot more consistant with my workouts and supps the last two weeks than I was before. I'll be able to tell a better story about how the stack is working now. At the end of next week, I'll post a new round of measurements.

super_size_me
04-12-07, 1:36 pm
As of now, I'm 182: Waist=34", Neck=16", Chest=42", Arms=15", Forearms=12", Thighs=25", Calves=15"

Just a measurement update: Waist=34.5", Neck=16.5", Chest=44.5", Arms=15.25", Forearms=12.5", Thighs=25.5", Calves=15.25" Weight is 189. It definitely looks like most of it went to my chest; a 2.5" gain there, sweet.

I just realized this thread was getting more about the workouts than the stack. I'm going to start a bulking log in the other section so this one can be used for what it's intended for. I'll start keeping this one to talking about the stack, which is going to have Nitro added to it as soon as it comes in the mail. Sorry fellas. I do really friggin' love the stack though. I'm up to about 189, and only a half inch added to my waist. I think that's pretty damn good. I get more intense every workout, and it's either because of the stack, or because I'm talking to all you animals all the time. Either way, I haven't ever had this much fun liftin' weights.

I've had two bad-ass workouts in a row so far this week. The intensity just keeps gettin' better. I was getting some crazy looks in the gym the other day doing leg presses. I just go to the base gym here, and they aren't used to seein' people throw 850 pounds on the sled and reppin' it out. It's pretty cool when all the guys at work are always asking you what you're taking, and asking for work out tips and shit. I tell them I'm taking a lot of friggin' food, and to go to the gym instead of just talking about it. The stack is working great though, not much more I could ask for.

My annual Air Force fitness eval is coming up soon. I'm going to take a week off of the Storm, so I can get the water out of my waist. They measure that for the test, and just that one inch or so costs me valueable points. Eveything else will be the same though. Nitro should be here Monday.

Do you find yourself retaining much water from storm? I use storm and I dont feel the water retention at all. I started cuts and that really helps getting water out of you, but you must drink loads of water when taking cuts..prob more than normal.

Good lookin' log here..keep training hard!

My Nitro got here early, sweet. Early enough, even, for me to take it after my workout today. It was waiting for me when I got home from the gym. Why can't I always get that lucky?

Toni,

For some reason, I always retain near an inch of water from any creatine product. I guess it's just a side effect that's worse for me. I'll just lay off for about a week, take a mild fat burner in the morning before my cardio, and I'll lose it in a few days. Maybe I'm just too inconsistent with my water intake. Some days I take in a lot, some days probably not enough. I retain water a lot even when not on creatine, sometimes I feel like a pregnant woman...lol.

Ok, what about sodium during the day? Are you adding table salt to your food? Your sodium should come from natural sources, like red meat, fish, natural peanut butter, unsalted nuts, whatever is naturally in foods..not added. Perhaps this is a reason as to why you may be holding more water than expected? Keep in mind, dairy products contain loads of sodium too. Stay away from cheese, yogurt, even cottage cheese and milks...go for fat free or skimmed milk if you must have it. Ice creams too..ever notice your so thirsy for water after eating ice cream or dairy products? Its the sodium!

Some people do hold a lot of water naturally. I hold all my water in my legs..so before a show, drying out, my legs are always last from everything else because that is where water likes to hang out. I usually get it around my knee area, calves and under my butt. i wish I would get it in my boobs! LOL..sorry.

Then again, water is so easy to lose. Try cycling off the creatine like you said for 2 wks. Cut back on any sodium your taking in that is not from natural sources, and drink a gallon of water a day..plain water. Let's see what happens. Now, if you start cuts, that will help get water out of you..but..it makes you thirsty so you have to drink that water consistently..also for the cuts to work properly. Dont take cuts late at night, and do the cardio.

You only need to take cuts once a day..I take it every day, once a day before I train. I dont follow the instructions on the can and it works great for me. Only downfall...I pee like every hour..and about 3x a night..real pain in the ass too...but hey..it gets the water out of you.

let us know how your doing here over the next couple weeks.

Well, not a lot of table salt. I work an odd shift, so I have to cook a meal early and pack it if I want a real meal for dinner. The fact that I have to eat a lot of tuna, cottage cheese, and lunchmeat probably does boost that sodium count up there. I should definitely drink more water though, both to flush out that sodium, and to keep the water moving instead of hanging around. You just reminded that I need to be eating a lot more red meat too, thanks!

Today was my last workout with M-Stak. It was a killer back workout. This morning I was 190, it probably won't change much by tomorrow, but I'll post it anyways. Getting up to 190 was still quite a large weight gain in just the amount of time I was taking M-Stak. Overall, I gained about 12 pounds in two cans; but I was only REAL consistent during the second can. There was some fat gain of course, but I think it was minimal. The thing I noticed most was that I was REALLY intense and jacked up during my workouts. I have been able to maintain a six day workout schedule for almost a month now too, and that's pretty hard. I would definitely reccomend M-Stak to just about anyone. I suffered from absolutely NO side effects. A great product in my opinion, as long as you don't need roid-rage, and excessive acne to let you know something is working.

My annual eval is a thing of the past, so Storm is comming back tomorrow. I won't hit the weights again until Monday, but I walways add things back in to the stack a day ahead of time. Check out "B.C.'s journey" in the training section if you want to see how I did. Here's the stack as it stands, just to let everyone know:
ON 100% Whey
Storm/Shock Therapy
Paks
Flex
Nitro

Vitamin World is having a great sale on MHP stuff, so I'm thinking about picking up some of their Glutamine tomorrow, we'll see. I'm going to throw in Stak 2 next month.

I just placed my next supp order, and I think it's a good one. I'm going to start drinking Big Ant's workout drink, so I got the BCAA stack. I am finally getting some Real Gains. I'm going with Vanilla, so I can add stuff to it if I want to (PB, coffee, fruit, stuff like that). I didn't renew my subscription to Flex, I traded it in for Stak-2. Of course, I got more Paks. Here's how it breaks down then (when it all gets here):

ON 100% Whey shake, first thing in the AM
Paks, 30 min after pre-workout meal
Stack-2, 45 min before workout
Storm/Shock Therapy, 30 min before workout
BCAA Stack/Storm, sipped throughout workout in Big Ant's patented drink
Nitro, washed down with Dextrose and Glutamine right after workout
Flex, whenever I can, until it runs out
Real Gains, just before bed until whey runs out, then all shakes

Pretty solid I think, I tried to cover all my bases, but not too much. The Storm/Shock Therapy will run out soon, and I'll just replace them with Pump when I make my next order. I hope I'm not overdoing the aminos by having BCAA Stack and Nitro, but I don't think so. 10 more pounds to go on my bulk, and then it's cuttin' time again. That will tell the true story of my work up to this point.

It was a chest/calves day, but I did abs too. Big Ant's workout drink is the best thing since sliced bread (100% whole wheat of course)! I'm fighting a cold right now, but still managed to have one of my most intense workouts yet. I did kind of like staggered supersets...2-3 sets of just chest, then supersets with calves or abs for 2-3 more. It wore me out, but only cardio wise, my muscles stood up to the punishment just fine. Big Ant is a true genius. I started the Stak-2 yesterday as well, and Real Gains. For now, I just used it as my last meal right before bed, and then againfirst thing this morning. 2 scoops for now, not the full 3.5 scoop serving. Still sitting at 190, hoping to get to 200 in the next couple of months.

So far, I am loving the shit out of Stak-2! The weights I was puting up before all seem a lot easier now, and I have a wicked cold right now too. It's only been like 4 days, but I notice the difference already. Big Ant's workout drink is working like a charm too; I can't say it enough. Anyone who does not use this drink is seriously missing out. I seem to be able to cram a lot more volume in the same amount of time because the recovery is so good. I'm using a lot more supersets, adding a bit of cardio to my workouts. The definition is starting to show more, but I'm still gaining weight (the best of both worlds). I'm up to 193, and if I can stay as lean as I am now, I'll just keep going instead of stopping at 200. I am adding a bit of cardio to drop the BF a little more, but nothing too crazy, I am still bulking after all.

I don't know what it was, but I just had the best fuckin' leg day ever! I have been on Stak-2 for just under a week, doing Big Ant's workout drink the same. I carbed up last night with a big bowl of spaghetti, and got three solid meals in me beforehand this morning. I hit squats (on a smith machine) for 315 x 8+4, and a 900 pound leg press for 5 solid reps! That was by far my best leg press ever. Hit up my journey if you want to see the numbers for the whole workout, it was a good one.

I've been off of the Storm/Shock Therapy for a week now. I have to say, I miss the great pumps I got from the ST...I say that every time I go off of it. Good news is, I just put 10lbs on my max bench...up to 235 now. This is the first significant jump in my max for months. I have been stuck at 225 forever, and it feels really good to get passed it. Next up 250.

I have finished off a few things in the stack since I've been here in Alaska. I used up my first can of Stak 2, with great results, I think. Also, I have not been puting the creatine in the workout drink for the passed few days. I'm heading home tomorrow, so Sunday morning I'll get a good weight, and make another order. I can't decide yet weather I want to do Stak-2 again, or the new formula M-Stak. I'll have to make a decision by Sunday.

I found some bulk Waxy Maize Starch, so I can finally start using that. This was a big order because I never made the smaller one in between. I needed to re-stock on just about everything. Here's the stack that starts as soon as the order gets here:

Pre Workout: Paks (as always), Storm/Shock Therapy
During Workout: Storm/BCAA stack/Glutamine
Post Workout: Waxy Maize Starch, Nitro
Misc.: Real Gains, Fish Oil, Stak 2

I'll make a start post when the order gets here. I'll post a good starting weight (about 188 now). I didn't do a very good job in the past about posting my diet in this log, so I will this time. Nothing too exact, but at least weather I ate clean that day or not, and how many meals I missed.

I was 192 when I started the new stack, two days ago. Body fat is moderate, I'd say 12-13% if I had to spit out a number. One thing I can say is that the wild punch Storm and Shock Therapy taste WAY better than the grape versions. The unflavored waxy maize is not so good though.

This morning I had a concotion of 5 eggs and a 1/2c oatmeal as my only meal before hitting the gym, along with a Pak. 15 min later, Stak 2...then the Storm/Shock Therapy. Drank a less water version of Big Ant's drink due to a shorter workout. I took the Nitro in the car while still in the gym parking lot, and 30g waxy maize as soon as I got home. 3 scoops of real Gains about 30 minutes later, then 2 natty PB&J's on 100% whole wheat about 90 minutes after that. My main meal today was 3 smallish pork chops and a baked sweet potato, and I'm going to hit up a medium sized salad with a cup of cottage cheese before I go to bed. I cheated with 4 Reese's PB cups tonight at work (I LOVE those damn things).

I scored some Pump from a buddy at work, 12 packs. I took it preworkout yesterday before a heavy arm workout. I still took the Shock Therapy, and it was an insane combo. I was doing heavy, low rep sets of 4-6 (except warm-ups) and i still got a great pump! I took a Pak with my pre-workout mean, 15 minutes later, Stak-2, 15 minutes later Pump, 15 minutes later, Shock Therapy. Hit up the workout drink during the workout; then right after, 30g Waxy Maize, 5g more glutamine, and a scoop of Storm to wash down the Nitro. I am liking this stack right now, my recovery is great. I just need to add some more stretching, I'm thinking about doing a DC style "extreme" stretch after every exercise, to see if that helps the soreness a bit.

Just put another 10 pounds on the bench. I'm up to 245 now. Weight is still around 193. I've been cutting carbs/cals just a bit for a couple of weeks, and adding in cardio a little at a time. I'm starting to notice it already. Some of the striations are comming back, and my definition is improved. Just about done with this can of Stak-2. I ran out of Gatorade powder, and Glutamine, so the only things in the workout drink now are Storm and BCAA Stack. Shock Therapy and the Paks pre workout, and Waxy Maize, Storm and Nitro post.

Well, I've run myself out of a great many supps this month. I just made my next oreder, and it had to be a cheap one. All I got was more Paks, some Natural Sterol Complex, and Cytosport Whey (5lb). I also picked up the Animal Owner's Manual, they finally had it in stock when I made an order. The new stack will be:

Paks
Sterol Complex
Whey Protien
Fish Oil

Pre: Shock Therapy
During: BCAA Stack/Storm
Post: Storm/Waxy Maize/Nitro
