Sup guys, this will be my log from here to 250 lbs. I'll do my best to update it daily with my trials, triumphs, and overall experiences. I will update my stats weekly, as day by day can frustrate even the most seasoned pro, as we all know.

Current stats (unpumped):
Weight - 212 lbs
BF - Unknown (I don't really care to know either, as long as my abs peek a bit, I'm set)
Arms - L:17 1/4 R:17 1/6
Quads - L:27 R:27 1/4
Calves - Both:17 1/2
Chest - 44 1/2
Waist - 33

My diet consists of: ~1 gallon of milk per day, plenty of beef, chicken, eggs, and canned tuna, rice, oats, and breads. 2-3 shakes per day depending on needs. I cheat once or twice a day to get in extra calories if I need it.

Supplements: Equivalent product to Shock Therapy, Torrent, Uni-Liver, glutamine, non-stim NO product, equivalent product to Storm, and Pak.

Split:
Mon - Chest, Abs
Tues - Back, Calves
Wed- Off
Thurs - Shoulders, Quads
Fri - Arms, Hamstrings

I will give my actual routine after my workout days.

Hope you guys are ready for the ride.

I tried out a new gym today about 30 minutes from my current gym. I was starting to get really sick of all the shit going on at my current gym, such as crowding, idiots pumping their ego, people on their cells, etc...

I was told this place was much more hardcore, right up my alley. My brother, Cstlfx, introduced me to it. Straight up awesome. Made mostly to meet the demands of powerlifters, this place has all the old school machines, a bunch of free weights that look like they were taken from Gold's during the filming of pumping iron, and a full pit, featuring 2 fully functional squat racks, bumper plates, thick bars, and even strongman equipment. It all set the stage for an awesome back workout.

Here's the LowDown:

Chins - 3 x failure
Pulldowns - 120lbs x 12, 150lbs x 10, 180lbs x 8
Reverse Grip BB Rows - 135lbs x 12, 185lbs x 10, 205lbs x 8, 225lbs x 6
DB Rows - 80lbs x 12, 100lbs x 10, 120lbs x 8
Low Row - 120 x 15, 150 x 12, 180 x 10
Deads - 315 x 5

Standing Calf Raises - 150lbs x 100 (rest pause set)
Seated - 220 x 25, 300 x 20

Not a bad day...

I decided to throw in legs on Wednesdays due to my feelings that I haven't been generating enough intensity by adding quads and hams on already scheduled days, and the fact that the veteran at my new gym also trains legs on this day. He told me and Cstlfx that he was squatting today and that we should join him. We did so.

I have been really nervous about going heavy on squats since blowing my knee out about 7 months ago. I really haven't gone above 135lbs since I destroyed my knee by repping 405lbs months before. After the warm ups, the Vet told me to wrap up and get serious. Here's the workout. Pretty much a straight powerlifting routine.

Squats:
145lbs x 5
195lbs x 5
235lbs x 5
285lbs x 5
315lbs x 3

Pause Squats at Farthest Depth:
145lbs x 3
145lbs x 3

Good Mornings:
145lbs x 5
145lbs x 5

All in all, it was a much better workout than I expected. I was very happy with the weights I put up, even though it wasn't near my PR. I'm a patient person, and I'll be back up there in no time.

Along the lines of eating, it's getting better day by day. I'm cramming as much good whole food in as possible, and keep cheating to a minimum. I'm seeing excellent results, and feel like I'm growing by the day instead of by the week.

Tomorrow is shoulders, and I have a feeling it's going to be great. Get ready for some heavy ass weight.

Lightweight Babaaaaay!!! Yeeeeah Budday!!!

I checked out the promo section, and I ended up winning for the new SportPharma flavored powder. Pretty sweet. I got the supplement facts today and it looks pretty solid. I won't disclose any information until the specifics of the log are given.

Tonight is shoulders, so I'll be back on later tonight to log it.

Keep lifting strong.

Thanks KAM, good to have you on board. I'm in a straight mass gaining phase right now, trying to pack on as much strength and weight as possible. The goal is 250 lbs somewhere down the line.

I'm starting to get sick lately though, which pisses me right off because my numbers are going up every single workout. I'm thinking of making next week a deload week, high reps and lower weight, maybe in the 15-20 range.

Arms tonight, which means ARMageddon is upon us.

And I'm expecting that Beta Test any time, so stay tuned.

Sup guys, arm day. Who doesn't love getting those pumped arms and achieving the satisfaction that Arnold always talked about. "Can't you see how much I am in heaven?? I am getting the feeling of cumming in the gym, at home, back stage before a show... I'm cumming day and night!!"

Anyways, great day overall. Couple of PRs, and on my close grip bench, I finally got off of the damn smith machine and headed to some free weights. I've been using the smith machine for bench and incline for a loooong time now, because I seriously injured my rotator cuff while I was a swimmer in high school. I was quite happy with the results, and believed I could have done 225lbs for 6 reps, but didn't want to pad my ego and end up injured. Plan on me hitting that next time.

The routine:
BB Curl - 50lbs x 15, 70lbs x 12, 80lbs x 12, 100lbs x 10, 115 x 8 (PR)
DB Scott Curl (using backside of preacher bench) - 30lbs x 12, 35lbs x 10, 40lbs x 8
Alt. DB Curl - 35lbs x 12, 40lbs x 12, 45lbs x 10
Machine Preacher (one arm) - 40lbs x 12, (Both arms from here) 100lbs x 12, 100lbs x 12

Skullcrushers - 60lbs x 12, 80lbs x 12, 90lbs x 10
Close Grip Bench - 135lbs x 12, 185 x 10, 205 x 8
Dips - BW x 12, BW x 12, BW+45lbs x 8
Rope Pressdown - 50 x 15, 100 x 12, 110 x 12 (PR)

All in all, a solid workout. That fatigue I was feeling yesterday is gone, and my energy levels and appetite are back to normal.

Tomorrow is my weekly weigh in and status update, let's hope for some good shit.

I was sitting in my room listening to some music tonight, and was simply thinking about my life and where it's going. I've had so many dreams, so many failures, and so many triumphs. I tell everyone I know that my absolute dream is to become a professional MMA fighter. I tell everyone I know that I'm a philosophical, respectful, and strong person. I tell everyone I know that I will be an amazing, elite, and famous athlete in the future.

As I sit here, looking at my life, I realize I am the same as every other college kid with a dream. And it scares the living shit out of me. My one greatest fear is that I will simply fade into the background, that I will simply become another average joe behind a desk. I go to school, I go to the gym, I train my ass off, and I eat. Yet I'm still just another punk kid that lives at home, relies on his parents, and hasn't gone anywhere or done anything with his life. Am I going anywhere? I hope to Christ I am. But just as Arnold back in the day, no one has a blueprint for what I should do. No one has lived my life, and not a single person can call themselves... me.

So I push, pull, shove, and scream day in and day out. I say fuck anyone and everyone that doubts me...

But is that enough? ...We'll find out.

Classes start tomorrow, so this is where my life becomes a hell of a lot more scheduled. That can go one of two ways:

1)It'll fuck me up on my eating and training schedule

or

2)It'll make everything a lot more planned out, and effect my results positively

I think it will be the latter choice. I chose to have my classes in the afternoon, so my plan is to wake up a few hours before I go to class. That will give me enough time to get my meals together, get everything organized, and just make everything less hectic in general. Here's my new meal plan for when classes start:

1) 8 whole eggs, 1 cup oats, 1 banana, shaker cup of glutamine spiked Gatorade
2) Shake during class
3) 2 chicken breasts smothered in cheese, 1 cup rice, 1 cup cottage cheese, few glasses of milk
4) Shake (depending on the day either in class or pre-workout)
5) Dinner (whatever is being served that night, I always make sure to prioritize high protein and complex carbs, usually around 1200 -1500 cals)
6) 2 cans of tuna, 1 cup cottage cheese, 1 cup rice/oats or a banana
7) Shake if I'm still hungry (I usually include high calorie foods in this shake like ice cream, peanut butter, and oats)

TigerAce01
01-12-09, 7:55 pm
I thought today would be a terrible workout due to my classes starting, but I don't know what happened to that plan. I busted through those weights like fucking butter. I hit PRs on nearly every lift. Awesome, awesome workout.

On the note of classes, everything seems pretty straight forward, I don't think it's going to screw with my meals too bad. We'll see.

Chest Routine:
Incline BB - 135lbs x 12, 185lbs x 8, 225lbs x 7 (going for 8, but still a PR)
DB Press - 80lbs x 10, 90lbs x 8 (PR)
Incline Flye - 55lbs x 12, 65lbs x 10, 70lbs x 8
Machine Press - 225 x 8, 255lbs x 8 (PR)
Cable Crossover - 55lbs x 15, 65lbs x 15, 75lbs x 12 (PR)
DB Pullovers - 60lbs x 10, 60lbs x 10

I had the energy of a bull today, it was simply awesome. I'm treating myself to a bunch of ice cream tonight for the effort... hell, I'm bulking right?

Tomorrow's back day... let's keep this going.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing differently, but my workouts lately have just been amazing. My energy levels are through the roof, I'm sleeping well, my appetite is tremendous, and my weight is continuing to climb up. Cheated last night with a big bowl of samoas ice cream, and tonight I'm downing a pizza. I say as long as I get all of my bodybuilding meals in, what is wrong with a little junk food? Shit, that might be what's helping me out here.

I also think I'm in a better place mentally, physically, and emotionally. New college, new surroundings, new people, everything has changed for the better. Ever since my last relationship ended violently and abruptly, I haven't felt at ease, and I haven't had that feeling of completeness. I wasn't succeeding at my last college, and honestly, the people there weren't really my flavor. I feel with my new college and my new gym, I have really found that complete feeling. Although I am merely doing the same actions I was before (school, lift, eat), I feel like they have true meaning in my life now. The iron saved me from myself, that's the truth.

Back Routine:
Chins - BW x 10, BW x 10, BW x 10
Pulldowns - 120lbs x 15, 150lbs x 10, 200lbs x 8 (PR)
Reverse Grip BB Rows - 135lbs x 12, 185lbs x 10, 225lbs x 6 (PR)
DB Rows - 90lbs x 12, 100lbs x 10, 130lbs x 8 (PR)
Rear Delt Machine - 60lbs x 15, 110lbs x 10, 130lbs x 8
Low Row - 120lbs x 12, 180lbs x 10, 200lbs x 8 (PR)

Thanks pedraza, just gotta keep eating and growing.

Sorry for not posting yesterday guys, my schedule was a little packed, but I still got all of my meals in, and had a nasty legs session. We decided to break out the bands this time around, and let me tell you, it turns your pop out of the pocket into a fucking nuclear explosion. I kept the weights nice and low, as not too hurt my knee, but did some burnout sets on the leg extension in true Tom Platz style to fry my quads. Yeah, I want to avoid injury, but I'm no pussy.

Legs:
Squats - 145lbs x 12, 235lbs x 5, (bands from here) 145lbs x 8, 235lbs x 3, 235lbs x 2 (double bands), 145lbs x 20 (rest pause set)
Leg Extensions - 100lbs x 15, 110lbs x 15, 120lbs x 15 (triple drop set down to 50lbs, each time accomplishing 12-15 reps)

Shoulders today was good. I was feeling very sick to my stomach this morning for an unknown reason, so I had trouble eating breakfast, but got down my 4 whole eggs and 5 whites w/ a cup of granola. I couldn't really get down lunch well, so I only finished one breast and a potato. After a few hours though, it was all good, so I had some cheat food in order to make up for the lost calories, my favorite, a baconator and double stack from Wendy's. Delicious.

Shoulder Routine:
Military Press - 45lbs x 15, 95lbs x 12, 135lbs x 10
Arnold Press - 35lbs x 15, 40lbs x 12, 45lbs x 10, 50 lbs x 8
Seated Rear Laterals - 30lbs x 15, 35lbs x 15, 40lbs x 12
Machine Press - 200lbs x 10, 230lbs x 9, 250lbs x 8
Stiff Armed KickBack - 25lbs x 12, 30lbs x 10, 35lbs x 9
Cable Laterals - 30lbs x 15, 30lbs x 15, 30lbs x 15

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I'm actually in the middle of a 7 day recovery period. I've been feeling a tightening/pulling sensation in the left lower abdomen area along with the same feeling on the left side of my inner groin. After a heavy deadlift session, it got to the point of actually being painful. My first thoughts were that of a hernia, so I decided to take 7 full days off to let it heal. If I go back on wednesday and the feeling is in anyway there, I'm taking more time off and seeing a doctor. I'm in this for the long run, and just as I'm working everything equally as to not make gaps in my physique, I want to remain healthy to avoid even longer gaps in training.

Just wanted to update for anyone on this thing.

3 torn ligaments, and one is torn almost all the way through. At this point, the doc is waiting to see if it starts healing correctly on it's own, but if the scar tissue forms incorrectly or not at all, then surgery will be needed.

Recovery length without surgery is 10-12 weeks plus 4 weeks of rehabilitation. With surgery, it is not known, but probably shorter, around 6-8 weeks plus 4 weeks of rehab. With that said, I kind of want the surgery. With that said, it still means I'll be sliced open, and my body will not be healing on it's own completely, making that a hot spot for future injury.

Next week is the final appointment to decide whether or not surgery is in play.

We'll see.

Keep pushing, pulling, and having trouble getting off the shitter.

No surgery needed on the ankle. The doc said he's never seen someone heal as fast I have have been... 25-30 liver tabs a day seems to do the trick.

I got cleared to do upper body movements that don't place any extra weight on my ankle, so any ideas would be sick.

Other than that, I'm planning ahead to my next jiu jitsu tournament. I'm dieting down while I have my injury, due to the fact that since I'm not doing any intense exercise, I won't be losing muscle mass, and I can diet down very slowly and correctly to get into a new weight class.

Do you have a specific tournament in mind?

Most likely the July 4th NAGA event, but if I feel prepared before then, and there is another tournament I am able to compete in, then we'll see.

But at this point, my sights are set on the NAGA U.S Open, July 4th. It will give me about 2 and a half months to prepare, so I'll be in top condition.

I did a chest/back workout today in German Volume Training style, pretty light, just concentrating on getting a crazy pump.

Incline Bench - 135 x 10, 145 x 10, 155 x 10, 165 x 10, 165 x 10
Flat DB Flye - 5 sets of 50 x 10

One Arm DB Row (done on an incline bench to take all pressure off the ankle) - 5 sets of 65 x 10
One Arm Cable Row (done in the same fashion as the DB rows) - 5 sets of 65 x 10

All in all, pretty good for my first day back.

Thanks brother, but none of that strength matters if it doesn't translate into submitting my opponent. My goal for the U.S Open is to get into the semi finals, but of course there's that competitive side of me that wants to win the whole thing.

Well, two days of solid grappling training is in the books, and I feel great. My ankle doesn't hurt at all, and my conditioning isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Give it two weeks, and I'll be in top condition again.

Yesterday was a getting back to it day. Techniques that were taught weren't anything new, due to it being a young class. My gi class went very well, had plenty of gas in the tank, and I was submitting guys left and right. I also completed my first omoplata in gi, which is a nice achievement for me. For those of you that know grappling or watch MMA, you know how hard an omoplata is, now imagine doing it with full clothing on, clothing you are allowed to grab. Pretty tough move. The no gi class was pretty rough, due mostly to the fact that I blew my wad in the gi class.

Tonight was really fun due to it being the first class with my new instructor. It was my first experience using the spider guard, and I absolutely love it. I learned a couple of new sweeps from spider guard, and then sparred. My instructor was very surprised to see me using the spider guard as quickly as I did, and complimented me on using it well. Overall, the night went very well.

Now I've got the spider guard in my arsenal...watch it NAGA competitors...

Yo, been a while since a post.

I've been dealing with some legal issues, nothing big, it will be over soon, but I've been out of commission for a little while.

In other news, during a night out yesterday, I was introduced to a few people that have great connections in the fight scene down here. One of them was the founding member of a fight clothing company call Drty Fight Co. We got to talking and shooting the shit about the latest fights and upcoming events, and we got into talking about me and my fight career, or lack thereof. Long story short, he is looking for amateur prospects in Florida to promote his company, and wanted to sponsor me. That's right, I have my very first sponsor.

He is also connected with the manager of Reality Fighting, a sister company of NAGA, and I am in the process of getting a fight very soon with them. If it is up to me, I would like to fight on their "Battle at the Beach" card on Aug 1st.

We will see...

Good luck, if it's not too far from here I will see if sodapop wants to go and we will head up there to see the fight.

That would be awesome brother. Nothing is official on the fight yet, but talks are in progress, so we'll see what happens.

Reality Fighting is a big step up for me, so it's a massive chance.

Fights tonight at The County Line in Melbourne. I'll be there helping out my sponsor, probably cornering. If you live in the area, doors open at 7 with a general entry fee of $30.

Been running a lot lately, doing a bunch of bodyweight workouts. Nothing too interesting, just updating.

Legal issues are still lingering, my next docket sounding is set for July 14th...yeah, a pain in my ass.
