Mrs. Dash, McCormick spices are good cause they're sodium free.

I use any kind, I don't see any reason to restrict sodium unless you got certain health issues that require you to

Cinnamon and cayenne are phenomenal... They add abundant flavor to bland food and they're good for you.
Peace, G
Mrs Dash if avoiding sodium. They have really good combinations.
McCormick I believe is the best (except for fresh herbs and spices, fresh is best overall). But really, i've used 5 seasons, and some generics, and unless you have an extremely good palate, I cant tell differences.

and also G is right with the cayenne. it can increase metabolism quite significantly. but if you cant tkae the heat (like me) try red pepper or something a little less hot.
When it comes to spices, the only ones to be avoided are the ones you dont like. Haha.
I dont think there are any ones that are bad for your health, in fact, most of them are nutritious.
