We all move big weight, but what do you do it for? We've all got motivation, and we've all got goals...but whats yours?
Explain if necessary.
Well I hit BB cause that's ultimately what I'll be doing in the end, but for the next few years I'm also in wrestling so a lot of my lifting will be for that too

geez, that's a tough question.
I'm a wrestler at heart. wrestled for 6 years growing up. through middle school and high school till my senior year.
Then it was about the grades. Then of course on to college. I didn't have the time to wrestle. Now i'm 3 years done w/ college, and i'm all about putting on mass and getting into shape. I think that there qualifies me as a bodybuilder.

i'm in it to get big and shredded. correction: i'm in it to enjoy the lifestyle that comes with the pursuit of being big and shredded. i'm a bodybuilder because of the way it makes me feel - no more, no less.

I do it for a coupla reasons,
1) I do it for health reasons, I want to be the first one in my family to make it to 50 years of age without any health problems. Mom, Dad, Aunts Uncles, they all have health problems, maybe it was the era when they grew up, that health and fitness was not as important as working hard to take care of your family, but I refuse to live by pills for everything that ails me.
1a) its the only sport I actually compete against myself, ok so u train for shows you compete against other guys, however, I think its part size, conditioning, genetics, but most importantly its political, So that doesnt count. In High School and College I excelled in every sport, because I practiced, and the guys I played against I knew their weaknesses. But in this sport, no in this way of life if you feel like shit, you lift like shit. If you let your mind wonder, you get hurt, if you eat like crap you look like crap. So in essence you cant blame anyone but yourself.......holla!

I'm a power bodybuilder... A powerbuilder, if you will. But there is no option for that. Hell, I'm used to not being clearly categorized anyway. Peace, G

Bodybuilder/Athlete. I love bodybuilding but I also love the sports. I am athlete at heart but was bitten by the iron bug 10 years ago.

I'll be straight up. I used to be a fatass!
I did it to get in shape, and i do it now to show people that they can't use the "genetics" or "its a disease" excuse! fuck! i'm a freakin german/pacific (samoan)islander.. you try telling me its easy to be ripped! big?! hell yes thats easy.. but anything under 13% requires me to put in my time, even with a great diet.
MY ASS its a disease!?!
I guess us guys/girls that actually believe *you get out what you put in* is are becoming a rare breed....

I am in the infantry, so i guess the best way to describe my training goals is: I train for combat. I want to be bigger, stronger and faster.
I love my job- been doing it for 14 years, since my last deployment i have again realized that all grunts need to live as athletes, in any given week I will run up to 30-35 miles, hump 20 miles, fight for 1.5 to 2 hrs and many hours of calisthenics.
I don't like running and personally feel that we should focus more on strength and strength endurance- the ability to scramble over a wall and snatch a guy up and scuff him up.
I was given my nickname while in Iraq in 03. Anybody who follows military stuff I was in A co 1-8 INF.( Samarra, Balad, etc)

No matter how big I get, get me on the court and I'm breaking ankles. Peace, G

Bodybuilding is my addiction! I have no desire to get on stage, just want to be the very best I can be at any age.

I would call myself a power lifter, I really don't give a rats ass if I have ab's or not, all I care about is moving as much weight as I can while I can, I'm no spring chicken so when the time come's to turn it down, I'll worry about sit up's.

I train to reach the edge of human performance.
To set the standard.
To be the strongest, fastest, and smartest that I possibly can be.
To prove to myself and to the world, that LIMITATIONS DO NOT EXIST.

Recreational: more-so
Other: It is an addiction for me to go to the gym, It don't matter where I go -even on Vacations, I always ask if there is a gym nearby to use
Always skeptical over hotels gyms though, they usually have soo little weight to use ><
I'd say an athlete and then power-builder. I was pursuing strictly that when CrossFit came along and now it's my goal to show that a bodybuilder CAN pursue athletics.... it sucks! But it's working.
TONS of body specific mixed with GPP and sprints.
I just want to be huge. Where ever my body falls is where it falls. I will be happy just being bigger then the next guy...

I said other. I've played competitive soccer for 18 years and it's taken it's tole on my body, soo much so that I can't even play anymore. Add to that a few years of dickin' around in a gym not really knowing what I was doing and my body is well buggered up. My main focus right now is to fix all of the muscle imballances I have. It's soo hard though cuz I can't allow myself to lift as heavy as I know I can for some things. Once everythings back in order though, it's time to grow.
