View Full Version : Another lil guy with BIG dreams.
"Hello" to anyone besides me who reads this. I'm Patch. 29-years-old, living in Denver, Colorado. Growing up, I was always smaller than most. I've a fast metabolism and an uncanny ability to survive off of 6 cups of coffee, and a Big Mac per day. But a new philosophy has been born. My journey has started, and I aim to not quit.
I started my journey 11/02/08. At 5'8", I weighed 145lbs and had a one rep max bench of 155. I've no idea what I could squat or deadlift. Today, 1/25/09, I weigh 175lbs and have a one rep max bench of 230. I've been using the "Training Routing 2 Split" which I found on this lovely site. I deadlift and squat 225 for my sets.
As for Supplements, I currently take: Animal Pak, M-Stak, Whey, NO, and glutamine. I just finished my first cycle of M-stak and will be starting my first cycle of Animal Test late next week. I also plan to start incorporating BCAA during breakfast.
**GOAL** To reach 205lbs bodyweight and bench one rep max 300lbs.
My meals are as follows:
Breakfast:
six egg whites
1 cup oatmeal
1 glass of Orange Juice
24oz weight gain shake.
2nd Breakfast:
Fruit (strawberries, blueberries, red grapes. I make these together and take em to work)
1.5 oz of Beef Jerkie
Lots of water
Lunch:
Tuna sandwich
24oz weight gain shake.
**Workout Time**
Post workout:
Whey shake
Dinner:
8oz Steak
Steamed broccoli or can of baked beans
Before Bed:
24oz weight gain shake.
What a day. The morning started by my nearly throwing up my last spoonful of egg whites. I had been scorching the eggs in my rush to shower, let the dog piss, take my own piss, and get dressed for work. I decided spraying the pan with some PAM would be a good idea. I guess I used the wrong kind cause it flavored the eggs something awful. I just plugged my nose and chewed and swallowed.
Great workout tonight though. It was back and bicep night. Tonight was the first night in the gym since I finished my M-Stak off. The only sup I took was my NO, but goddamn did I get a pump. My chest is starting to come in nice and wide, but my biceps could be bigger. The swole up tonight real nice. I hated to leave the gym, but I knew I had to get home and eat.
On a side note, my Animal-Test came in the mail today. I thought seriously about taking a pak before hitting the gym, but decided I'd wait a week to let the M-Stak work its way out. Along with Test came Wrath's arm video. Damn that dude is big. I mean, seriously, goddamn.
I started taking Animal-Test today. Supplement wise, I'm now taking this in conjunction with the Pak, NO, some Tribulus, whey, and BCAA powder. I'll probably throw some creatine back in the mix soon as it's been a month since I've taken any.
Question: do you guys think taking Animal-Test along with the tribulus is too much?

Welcome brother. I would stick with the Test and hold off on the trib for a while. See how you do with just that. The creatine would also be a great addition! Good luck and im subed for the ride!

Thanks, treetrunklegs! I subbed your journey as well. Oh and I also stole your recipe for wheat pasta, tuna, and cherry tomatoes. Very tasty!
Couple updates since I last posted. Number one, I switched gyms. Got tired of waiting in line for equipment every time I moved to a new set. The new place is much better. Not too many folks and good variety of equipment. There's even a group that does strongman training. The scenery isn't as good, but fuck it, that's not what I'm there for.
My appetite has really increased since I started taking Animal-Test. It seems I can't get enough to eat. I should see some good gains. And speaking of gains, I split my shirt while stretching at work today. I threw my arms up into a double bicep type pose and let a yawn. Next thing I hear is rrrrriiip. Shit. Considering I've put on about 35lbs, I guess it's time to look into getting some new dress shirts.
Tomorrow is chest/tricep/delt day. My favorite.

And for what it's worth, here's my current workout for shoulders:
Delts
• Machine Rear Laterals: 3 Sets X 10 Reps
• Side Laterals: 3 Sets X 10 Reps
• Machine Laterals: 3 Sets X 10 Reps
• Seated Presses: 2 Sets X 6 Reps
Added a few sets of side laterals into my shoulder mix. Got a killer shoulder pump going, thanks bud.
