I always wear shorts and a tshirt or muscle shirt. I sweat enough as it is dressed like that. Keeping cool has always been my problem.

i always wear my hoody on my first lift..it works especially well when doing dls and squats..omg especially squats..strap a belt on tight under there and by the end of your set you will find it hard to stay on two feet..by the end of my set im usually gasping for air..it is so hot in wearing a sweatshirt..after the first lift, i lose the sweatshirt bc i cant breathe..it's a great technique to assist the warmup and bloodflow..

i too like to wear something extra when i am getting warm. especially when you walk in from the cold. i read somewhere about folks who would actually go and stretch inside the sauna! there isnt a sauna at my gym so i can't comment on it, but it seems to be a solid idea. its way to easy to pull something when your body is cold. i have neither the time nor the patience for a bad session and always make the extra effort to make sure i'm good and warm before i get at the iron.

My gym is an old military building where they kept missles and bombs so its not heated at all. In the summer is hot as hell and the winter, now..its so cold is unbearable. I am always in layers. My northface fleece on top with another hoodie underneath that, than my workout top.

Once I start warming up, I start shedding clothes like a snake shedding its skin. By the time I get down to showing some skin, I am so pumped...I get the looks...

the guys at our gym have this thing about air conditioning, it has to be a certain temperature all the time and the temp is so cold. its summer here in australia and i'm wearing 3 shirts and a pair of sweat pants to lift. i get some look, they must think i'm crazy, some people have asked my answer is "no offence, but you wouldn;t understand if i told you"

I always wear sweat pants and a sweater to start. Ill do a 5 minute warmup on the bike and go from there. Ill take off the sweater when it starts to get soaked, then I know Ive heated up enough to not lose my temperature and doing so have lessened my chance to pull something by not ebing warmed up enough.

I only wear shorts on leg day.

I workout with a t shirt and thermal on including sweat pants. When I'm done lifting, i hit the treadmill and throw on the hoodie. Good sweat session.

I like a sweat shirt over my cutup T-shirt. Legs gotta be bare. I feel “confined” wearing warm up pants. I limit long pants to deadlift days … No Powder in the gym…

i like to stay warm as well, sweatpants and maybe a long sleeve t-shirt but sweating profusely isn't very beneficial; i believe it is just burning up your energy sources faster.

I used to wear shorts and tank right from the start, and i would usually have to deal with the retards who turn the fan on full blast and direct it straight at the equipment they are on. Since I started wearing a sweatshirt at the beginning of my workouts, I have noticed that my workouts are actually quicker due to my warmup time has shortened somewhat. Now, people see me come in wearing a hoodie and mumble something about me being a newbie, then when I am warm and take off the sweats they just watch.

Know what you mean bro. These guys don't like to sweat, can't stand the heat, will even open a window or the door. They would even quit in the middle of a WO bc of the blue sky.

My old sweat routine was to get in my truck while still hot and drippin, crank up the heat, even in the summer, drive the 30 mins home take the stairs 3 at a time (even leg day) the get into a hot shower....
i felt if i could keep the muscle hot as long as possible, it would promote more growth with the extra blood stayin there longer....
dont know how true it was, but i wasnt afraid to sweat....

now my truck ride is 5 mins home
