so at my office, i work with pretty much all women.... NONE of them are all that smart when it comes to computers.. but this is just ridiculous.
im in a meeting today with the state reps, and my staff come barging in telling me that the computer is broken and none of the numbers will work.... i walked in to the clinic, hit NUM LOCK and walked out shaking my head...
we have certain policies we have to adhere to... one of which being that when we do measurements on babies, they MUST be ONLY in a diaper. half of the staff are so sympathetic to the clients that they leave them clothed... making for heavier babies. now..... i do lab. all day. when a staff member tries to do my job and tells me to go do something else, it pisses me off. ESPECIALLY when they dont fucking do it properly.
last time i checked, I AM IN CHARGE in the clinics... not them.... but because MY boss is best friends with these broads, they get away with trying to boss me around...
i need a new job, or im gonna fucking explode.

I honestly don't know how much longer I can keep doing this. I am not a fucking pawn in this office... yet I am treated as one by the people under me, because they are................... nevermind. that is a different argument for a different day.

i apply at jobs in and out of michigan, as I have been for the past 4 years. In the past 4 years, I have had TWO interviews. neither, obviously, led to anything....

We had that problem around here...Some one thought that making them sit at there workbnech for 30 mins with out pay would work...30 longer break? they loved that...but sending them home with out pay when they came in at 5 am then next day...yea that got the message across...

1.) Just think start thinking about an hour and a half from now. focus up on that.
2.) Carrying to work would be fun....for like a day. after that i think you'd just get into too much trouble.
3.) You better keep your ass here in Michigan if you find different work. I dont mind driving to centerline on a weekly basis, but after that, i think i might be carrying if i have to go out to see you in a different state!

When did it become acceptable behavior for a child to go ape-shit in public and have the parent continually tell them, "you are a good boy." Last time I checked, going ape-shit in public, was not being a "good boy" it was being a little shit that needed to be dealt with either then and there, or at home.
Society is becoming too accepting of child behavior. When I was growing up... if I acted like that.... we would get some sense knocked in to us. Now everyone is so quick to scream abuse and all this other PC bullshit that these kids are growing up to be pussies.
Growing up, you got in to a few fights.... you got knocked around.... we were taught respect. Hitting your mother, telling her no, and fighting like hell with her... were NOT acceptable. Now.... that has become the norm. At least, the norm for what I see on a daily basis.
It is quite sad... We need to, as a society, grow a pair of balls and take matters in to our own hands. If I remember correctly, the parents are supposed to do the Parenting part... and the kids are supposed to be taught.. not the other way around. I see these kids telling the parents what to do, and the parents fucking doing it.... parents bribing kids just to get them to shut up.. what has happened?

^^^good post, working in a butcher shop we get parents with their brat kids all the time. Whatever happened to correcting a kid when he misbehaves? And I don't mean punishment, kids probably won't respond well to being hit, but just correcting a kid. It is the same way I train my dog haha. My dog won't follow a leader who hits her or who she is afraid of. I correct her with a tap on the side or a thumb snap, not a smack. And she is a well behaved dog who follows her leader confidently.

They are not the scientists, engineers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc that keep the world moving. These people are already in a shitty situation (probably self induced), and will raise kids that will know nothing but poverty and despair like their parents. There is always the exception, but the rule says that poverty will beget more poverty.
I really do feel bad for you having to deal with them, but you do have job security built in as there will NEVER be a shortage of these people.

I have come to the conclusion that I am completely miserable, aside from Jen and lifting.
My job brings the rest of my life down to the shitter, and I hate that it does it.....I try not to let it bother me. but it is just too much.
On a continual basis, I deal with complete disrespect, liars, assholes, and racists. Then there are my clients.... who are just fucking lazy.
I was trying to update staff today on some important issues in regards to scheduling, one of the staff members walked out of the room, while i was specifically speaking with HER, so i stopped what i was saying and dropped it.... she came back in 5 minutes later asking what i wanted to tell her... let her find out on her own, i dont care.
You dont have the respect to stay in the room when im fuckin talking to you, guess you arent going to find out what it was that i needed to tell you about....
OH YEAH... stupidity is the biggest thing i have to face as well.
Not only stupidity when it comes to technology, but everyday life as well.....
Im near my breaking point.....

Probably a stupid question, but why not leave work at work? I used to hate my job, but then I figured out that it was just a job. The only thing I take home with me is the money. Don't get me worng, they want to make me snap occassionaly. I don't need anger management, if I managed it any less someone would be dead. -T.

ive started just shutting off my work phone at 4... and ignoring my e-mail after then as well. but running in to my clients in the stores, and the mall, and well everywhere i go.
