Hey I'm Stacy, I havent meet most of you yet, but cant wait too. I am Brad's (MrMuscles22) wife. I just recently started working out again, so would like any suggestions, esp from other females. I was one my high school swim team for 3 years. I worked-out to get ready for our wedding but had to stop b/c i wanted to still fit into my dress, then shortly after i got pregnant. So this is really my first time back in the gym since 2005.

Had a great time in C-Bus this weekend... can't wait to do it again next year.

While in C-Bus Brad got to train with Wrath friday night, so i sat out and took lots of pics. But Saturday we did back at the ABC, can't remember any numbers, but let me tell you I felt it the next day.

Today we did a couple extra warm-up sets on the first couple exercises... we decided not to completely kill my shoulder so i tried to work my way up, but sometimes i just couldn't do the higher wieghts and had to drop back down.

Hi again Stacy... the wife and I enjoyed hanging out with you and your trainer last weekend. LOL Keep up the workouts, but make sure your trainer has time to train too. I hear there is this HUGE blond guy from up north planning on making alot of trouble in the Heavyweight class at House's show. LOL See you both there!

Smith squats always cause me issue. The fixed bar path kills me. Just keep the weight low and use the squat rack. Go for reps and go deep.

Once you build up your hip flexors from SQUATTING they won't bother you as much. LOL! Great workout. Its nice to see the two of you back under the bar.

No one feels like their workouts are ever "enough." I constantly wish I had 20-50 lbs more on every lift. That's why this is so much fun - there is always another level to take it to.

Since Brad and Big C went to the gym without me today, i decided to take a nice swim instead. It has been a couple weeks since my last time in the water for a real swim. When i swim now i don't swim for speed and time everytime. Like today i focused on getting a full strech and keeping my breathing limited. I did 750 yds in about 30 minutes. So overall it was a good workout for me. But i can't wait to hit the weights tomorrow, believe brad said we are doing legs... can't wait!

Nice seeing you today....of course you show up at the end of our workout haha! Just kiddin....I was actually talking to Brad about swimming...I think swimming is harder than training I'm dead serious. I do one lap and I'm ready to go home and sleep.

It's been a couple of days since i lifted, so it felt good to get back in the gym. Even tho after trying to do squats again i didn't want to be there anymore. So instead of doing squats i did leg press. Hopefully after a couple more weeks of attempting squats i will be able to do them without being in so much pain.

been a couple of days since i have been in the gym, so we happy to get back. Many of know that i was thinking of doing a bikini show in September, well i have officially decided to do it. Mostly b/c so many ppl close to me think that i can't or won't stick with it. So to prove them all wrong i am going to work extremly hard and really stick to my diet. So if anybody has any advice, i am always listening.

Seated Rows: 4x20,12,12,12- 30,60,70,70lbs
Machine Rows (upper back): 3x12- 30,30,30lbs

thanks... funny that i have found more support on here with ppl i really don't know but my closet "friends" can't even support me. Brad abd I are working together to reach our goals, but i am not sure if i need to do some things different (being female).

Well, I'm sure you could get help from Toni, or Deanna, or BellaDiabla, or . . . not to mention, a number of the more experienced trainers could chime in. This is a helpful group, I've discovered -- ask! Go check "Ask the Pros" -- they'll be more than willing to advise you.

As for more help from folks here: the folks here understand what you're after -- I doubt most of your more local friends do. I know I don't have any local friends off-board who have a single notion of what I'm doing -- not one. At 54, most of my contemporaries have given up "fitness" as a lost cause. So, I come here, and find a board full of folks willing to chime in and help out when I have a quandry. When I add the guys locally, who are MORE than willing to help on everything from exercise to diet to show prep, I have most support than I can handle.

That's what made me spend most of my time here rather than the other boards I looked at when I started training again: the sheer willingness of everyone here to help each other.

Now, having met you at the Cage, we have a connection, and are part of a worldwide (yes, WORLDwide) "family" all working toward variations on the same goal -- being the best at whatever we do with the iron -- figure, fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman comps, martial arts, or what-have-you. It's not a collection you find every day.

We're ALL with you, Stacy -- that's the cool thing about it.

I'm a big fan of muscle confusion principles. And confusion in general. I enjoy causing chaos.

But, specific to workouts, I like move over a wide variety of rep ranges. Some workouts I'm doing in triples and sets of 5. Some I'm up into the 30s or 100s. I find that growth follows best if I never get into a rut.

I've learned that each part is a different beast and that everyone responds differently. Your muscle type, tendon lengths, current fitness levels and many other factors contribute to finding your "ideal" workout.

So don't rule anything out. And don't rule out something that failed you 6 months ago. You change and so should your workouts.

today i went the gym by myself... which is kinda new for me. If Brad doesn't go i don't go, but due to work schedules he wasn't able to go tonight. I felt that i need to go and prove i am able to do it on my own. I think i actually pushed myself harding without Brad there, i felt good about what i did.


(need to vent for a sec) If a chick is at the gym by herself don't fucking stare at her like she is for sale and you are thinking about buying. She is there to workout just like you are. And just b/c she is in the free weights doesn't mean she is a freak or that she needs helping moving the fucking weights. (sorry) Now into my workout.

there was a little high schooler on the machine next time me and everytime i would make a noise or make a face he would just stare... i wanted to ask him if he needed soemthing.

Hope everything is going okay. Don't worry about bad days in the gym. We all have them. My personal rule is that I ditch the plan on bad days and treat it like play time. If something looks/sounds fun then I do it otherwise I go home and soak in the tub. Or get a massage. ;)

If its not fun then you won't be able to still to it consistently. Consistency is key. You can't make progress if you don't play.

Actually i haven't been to the gym the past couple of days... Esp with Easter, holidays are crazy for us.

That is prolly the first meltdown in the gym that i have had yet. But it felt good, now i can focus more (hopefully).

i know its be awhile since i posted last... i have been to the gym a couple of times, just not posted my workouts. but today i went to the gym by myself and again had the problem of the high schoolers staring at me the whole time. and i didn't even lift today. i just dont understand. i started with some cardio, then did abs and finished with calves.

I would love to move to SoCal... sometimes i just forget to post or by the time i remember the paper i wrote the w/o on is missing. My son loves to play with paper, esp the papers i need.

I'd be scared if I saw that combo, HAHA! It's a good way to keep the hoodlems away.
