If you have one, what is your pre-lift routine?
I know I take my supps 15 minutes before I leave the house, listen to hardcore music on the drive (usually StoneSour) while concentrating on the exact exercises I am about to perform and telling myself I will never quit, I never look at the scenery.....only straight ahead..always straight ahead, get to the gym, toss my bag into the locker, toss in the headphones, pray to God for strength and protection.....and flip the switch.

As soon as I get in my car, I throw on my IPOD. (seeing as my car stereo is broken) I usually listen to some Korn or Pantera. On the drive over I try to get my intensity up, get pissed, get motivated, whatever you want to call it. When I walk in the gym I take my IPOD off, put my bag down, remind myself why I do what I do and not another word is said until I'm done.
I'm on the same road you guys are on. I throw some Throwdown or Chimaira in my car stereo and blast it on the way there. I take my shock therapy 15-20 minutes before training, maybe browse through my Animal Owners Manual or read an Animalpak article... Needless to say, that is all I need.

Pantera or Coal Chamber for those real heavy lifting days which happen more and more frequently than they used to
I makes sure I get in at least two good meals in. One at least 2.5 hours before, and finishing the other about an hour before. These are almost always a total of 1.5 cups of oats and 96 g protein between the two.Then I take my PUMP about 30 min before getting to the gym. On the way there, all I see in my head is exactly what needs to be done in the gym. My mind is like a brewing storm; a dangerous place.

Pre workout shake + stack 2. Gym is too close for music on the ride to have na impact. IPOD is on when I get in, then all business

Definitely some disturbed in the car from work to the gym. Take my energy pills have a protein bar and head for it. Plan my workout in my head on the way to the gym. Make sure my phone is off so I don't get any tempting calls to skip out, this is especially important on weekends. Keep my head down and try to remember that the workout is only going to be as good as I make it.
I eat a solid food (no shake) meal about 30 minutes to an hour before leaving and take my AnimalPump 20minutes or so before leaving. Hop in the car, throw on some hard rock or gangsta rap and go. Don't wear headphones in the gym, I don't want shit getting in the way.

This was weird reading this Wolf man.. this is my daily journey to my gym.
What I live for (besides the pump) is when staring straight ahead while driving I feel my supps. kickin in early and a wave of concentration comes over me and i feel my pupils dialate with adrenaline rushing my veins and i become very concentrated on what's directly in front of my truck.. its the fuckin best.

Hmm...lets call this my pre lift routine. Say its a PR 550lb deadlift, I don't sniff the ammonia or run to the bar, I don't swear or yell or grunt. I get in position, check my form bend down and pull the fuck out of the bar. If it's off the floor at all...its mine.
I call it "self confidence".

supps in 25 minutes pre-workout. i drink 20 oz. water right after my supps. iPod on some Nas, DMX, Flogging Molly, or Pantera, and run to the gym (about 300 yards from my house). once there, i drop my shit, stretch, and from then, it's war.

double coffee 1 hour before goin, 1 liter of water 30 mins before goin, kataklysm+arkangel in the car, rage against the machine on the 10min warm-up bike, then rip the fiber off my body. oh wee

my pre-workout routine usually ends up being a meal about an hour before. 30minutes before i hit the gym i pound down a superpump shake. then i like to think about the lifts im gonna be doing that day, and if the day falls on chest/arms, ill definitly pop in the Wrath DVDs until i feel the supps kickin in. Days with other bodyparts, ill pop in the Pumpin Iron movie, one of my 2 Jay Cutler DVDs or Kevin Levrone's Maryland Muscle Machine.

2-3 hours before I will have a meal with alot of protien and carbs. Then 30 minutes before a shake of 30 grams whey protein isolate, 40 grams waxy maize, 5-10 grams of bcaa's. Then before I leave 200 mg of caffeine, and 3 grams of CEE creatine.

Honestly, I think about what body part day im lifting ALL DAY long, never leaves my head.,I pop all of my shit in my 7th period class, sneaky sneaky ;). I'm sitting just waiting for that damn bell to ring so I can get out to my car and head to the fieldhouse.
