hey man. why is it that its been almost a year since i started lookin at the journey and its still not done. it takes between 1.5 to 2.5 weeks for 1 journey week to be completed. is it like a pre-done thing and hes just postin it over a period of time?

No truer words have been spoken. I read this one in a mag and when I finished reading it, I made my oldest boy read it! Mighty fine read. This should definitely be a must read for all!

I never realized the fat, the marbling, is what actually makes steak more expensive. Ironic. I always get London Broil and it's really lean, and really cheap at my local grocer, which I never understood. Why would it be cheaper when you get more beef? I understand now.

Welcome to Crazy-World.

Let's go U Rep I'm buyin'.

That's right bro, the fat is the flavor of the beef....the more marble, the richer the flavor.....the richer the flavor, the more for the cut....

at costco, the priciest cut is flank, but its also like the 2nd leanest next to top round, which happens to be one of the cheapest...doesn't make much sense to me.

Seriously find a farmer and a friend that you can go half in with for cow, brothers you will save a shit load of cash. We raise our own cattle and butcher them ourselves...you want to talk about lean meat...when I'm cutting my shit up that is some lean steaks...leave just enough fat to add a little flavor but that's it. I'm not sure what fat % our burger would be considered but all I know is when I make a hamburger it doesn't shrink and thier isn't a bunch of grease sitting in the foreman cup (can't do that with store bought stuff).

The only thing better than a steak from my cow is Vension Chops...ummmmmmm...my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Here's to good eating!!

Peace

It's crazy with the fat on the steak... I think that's a lesson for a lot of us. Don't buy into the hype. There is no shortcuts. Only hard earned lessons and trials.

I know...its kind of depressing that the journey is almost over...but is it? Is the journey ever over for an animal? Do we ever stop and does it have to? The answer to all of the above is obviously no. We do what we do out of passion.

Fuck the bright lights, fuck the fortune and the fame its not about that...its about leaving a mark and not to just anyone...no...to ourselves. We turn heads where ever we go and people can see that we are on a mission, we put up with the ridicule and the day after day bullshit that comes along with this life...but we love it.

We beat the shit out of ourselves day in and day out and for what...?...to look in the mirrior day after day and crave size and tell ourselves that its not enough, "I need to get bigger". We are our worst critic and we like it that way.

Who are we? We are the ones that walk this world alone, we feast on the iron like its nothing and consume it daily, we are warriors...gladiators and we will continue to fight and continue to win against our iron adversaries as long as we have a breath in our lungs...for we are Animal...and we know nothing else.

Damn right brother and well said. The journey will never end. When our time is up there will be other Animals, and they will remember all the great Animals that never gave up. Even though they might not remember us personally, but they will feel our energy and our presence. The guys who write all these articles here at the forum will always be remembered for how hard they worked and the examples that they set for us and future Animals.

Also, what an entry, bones rattling... that just fired me up. Good luck to Wrath at his competition. Peace

I agree, but don't forget bro, every single one of us is traveling down a journey of our own, in bodybuilding and in life, whether we put it into words or not. And some of our greatests moments can never be put into words and can never be seen by others.

Through Wrath's journey, I've learned so much about life, about "holding on", about "letting go"

I cont. to look forward to see the results of competition. Whatever the outcome, Wraths experience and the DVD series will remain a BEACON in my journey,

The Journey is how I found out about Animal and Animalpak.com. Motivation and inspirational to say the least. What I really latched onto was that here was a guy who was a dedicated bodybuilder and a really thoughtful one at that. Who says bodybuilders can't be intellects?
