What effect do you guys think sex/release has on test levels, energy, strength, etc.??? I'm an ex-boxer and was told time and time again that just busting a nut would "make my legs weak." I never heard any real reasons why and wonder if there is any truth to it or studies that have been done...
well i deff think that there is a diff between sex and just busting a nut, i thihnk if you have sex you expend a lot of energy but ya know head on the other hand i dont think affects me the next day. but sex i feel like i will be weak the next day. any other thoughts?

I completely agree on the difference b/w sex and just a nut, but I'm thinking outside of cardio weariness and more on just a loss of testosterone levels or if it really drains you that much. I always kinda thought it was the strength through discipline and deprivation thing. Does it have a real physical effect, or just mental edge kinda deal? Thoughts?

i don't know about you... but sex "improves my game"
i feel stronger and more energized.
shoot... i'd go for it right after a workout for recovery!
I'm not completely informed on this subject, but from what I understand, have read and experienced, (other than bustin' a nut) actual intercourse releases some kind of an endorphine in males that immediately promotes sleep.
Hence, the age old joke about a guy rolling over and passing out when she decides to talk after sex.
This is an actual fact, from the studies that I've read, but to be honest, don't take my word for it. Google that bad boy and let us know what you find.
As far as it's effects on testosterone levels, I honestly have no clue. I'll look it up and let you know what I find, if you don't find it first.

Ive heard it doesnt effect testosterone levels because its just sittin there...Free testosterone is what we want to raise to build muscle...thats not free its just sittin there....HOWEVER studies show 7 days without ejaculation testosterone levels were at their highest....something to think about.

Hey tanktwism,
I used to box myself for a few years. Before every fight my trainer always told me never to have sex before the fight. I think it makes you weaker for a little while. Other then that I just listened to him.

i was reading this book it says sex deplete ur ki energy also as you get older it takes longer to regenrate more sperm, also ur body recycle sperm natural by wet dreams..ya to tell you the truth also if u jerk off alot you wont have enough test to burn off bad fat and will gain weight, hey it happened to me when i was in a relationship all i did was eat sleep and fuk i gained 40+ pounds in a yr and a half..you can also observe ppl in relationship if they look drained out and look tired..too much sex is no good well pretty much too much of anything is no good
15yr old - 20yr old takes 2 days to fully recover
20-30 take a week
as u get older takes longer and longer to fully recover

interestingly my Physician told me that medicaly the only way for a man to increase "Test" levels naturally as proven by medicine(sp) is that the more sexually active you are the more "Test" your body produces.

When you become sexually aroused, your body releases alot of testosterone along with other natural chemicals, and when you ejaculate, you release alot of those chemicals, which might explain why most people are so tired after sexual activity. Therefore, sex and other sexual activities are probably not the best to partake in before working out.
