I do agree, I have the best job in the world. Even better is the fact that the days are so long, I usually work just 3 a week!
I've had workouts in the woods... you just need to find sturdy trees to hold your weight and logs you can hold onto. Maybe bring a power rack and some weight, that way nobody complains when you grunt!

I used to move 450lb barrels of acid....I used to sling around hot pressure water units...but now I work for Wal-Mart Distribution Center #7024 in Sterling, IL slinging boxes from 3:45am to 2:45pm. I get paid 16.05 making pallets as an orderfiller and lift over 12,000lbs a day, easy. Everyone talks about phsyical labor...but what about the labor that while you're at work...and you don't sling enough of your own weight...you have the opportunity to lose your job because you're below 95%? I have the utmost respect for any other orderfiller out there...and I'm pretty sure that it has to be one of the hardest warehouse jobs out there. I personally think that it can make or break a man/female in under a week of actually doing the job. IF you can move 2,500lbs in about 1 hour, and know where to put the boxes on a pallet, have it wrapped, and have it out of the wrapper...you might just make it.
All orderfillers... " WHO'S IN THE PICK? "
I'm Fired-UP baby, who else is slingin weight?

Brochures for hospitals and psychiatric care facilities. lol
Let me clarify my earlier post:
It's not the work itself that I have a problem with. it's the environment and the politicking and the mindsets involved that poisons the process and gets in the way of doing the job. I love being a designer. It's the only thing I've ever wanted to do since I got out of high school, and it's the only thing I ever felt like I was good at.
So it's the environment. The insurance plan is pretty spectacular, though.

With the exception of a few, nobody just lifts. We all have day jobs, for some of you night jobs. I wanna know what you all do for jobs. What time do you have to work out because of it?
The way I see it, work is just something we do in between workouts to pay for all of our food and supps.

I work for the greatest supplement company in the country (wink, wink) Mon thru Fri. 8-4:40, and bounce Wed, Thurs and Fri nights. I train around 7PM.

i am a third shift nurse which can be tricky with workouts and eating. but i manage to do it. the nice part is i work 12 hour shifts, so i am off 4 days every week. plenty of time to lift. but i am also going back to school, which takes up 2 of those days but you just got to want it. it is a part of my life sleeping and eating.
I'm in construction, ''Was'' Now at home lookingfor work but now have more time for gym
Full time mom to two boys, ages 6 and 4. Work part-time at the front desk of a hotel.
I lift whenever I can! Sometimes in the mid A.M (9-11ish). Prefer the early afternoon (1-3). Either way I am usually lucky and the weight room is pretty slow. Usually more cardio people there at that time.

good shit....didn't bother to read through all the posts but as we're all big dudes around here i figured there's bound to be a few bouncers; something i'd like to do to generate some much needed cash (I'm a full time student) -- do you generally have to be 21 to bounce at a bar??

I posted in here awhile back, but things have changed since then.
Finished up college back in May, BS in Psychology from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I'm planning on going into law enforcement, waiting to apply to my local police department(they're on a 2-year application/testing/eligibility list cycle, and are due to be taking apps again soon, sometime in the next month).
For now (since mid-October), I've been a preloader at the local UPS center. I work roughly 4am-8am, M-F, loading package cars. Currently, I load 3 cars at a time. It's part time, but I get full time benefits. I'm basically doing this to make some money and have benfits while I wait for the local cops to start taking application packets again. As a plus, working part time and weekdays only gives me time to focus on the gym and getting myself ready for the physical agility test as well as the academy. The job is pretty rough though, I'm definitely sore when I leave most days.

Hey, saw the thread asking for advice on becoming a pharmacist and it got me wondering what other people on here did for a living besides going to the gym, although i wish that was all i could do!
I'll make a start then to get the ball rolling
Just graduated from university, although had a 1 year work placement year. I've now gone back to the company i did my placement with to work fulltime. The company is an FMCG healthcare/pharmaceutical company called SSL International with various local and global brands, based in the UK.
I work in marketing for the Export department which sells our products to countries which dont turnover enough to have thier own office yet! (UAE, South Africa etc). I work on the Durex brand, however the company also owns the Scholl brand.
Looking forward to hearing what everyone else does!

I'm a Account Manager for a major industry, fucking hate it, long story short I am a bitch all day to customers!
I get out at 4:45, my gym is 5 minutes down the road so I train at 5 pm.
I just recently got certified in personal training (W.I.T.S), and plan on moving down to North Carolina in late October 2008 after my upcoming show, in hopes of making HUGE changes not just physically, but a bit more on the career and personal note.
GRETA THREAD BY THE WAY!

I'm a full time college student and also work full time as a merchandiser for Nevada Beverage, which is the main distributor for Budweiser here in Las Vegas. Good company to work for, lots of opportunity to move up. They give very flexible schedules, I work 4 tens so that allows me plenty of time for school and lifting.
I deliver pizza and go to school.
