Hey guy's, I know that most of you like myself consider Lifting my full time job. 24/7, 365. And more than a job that I do, it's who I am. . . And nothing or no one will stand in the way of me being the Greatest that I can and will Inevitably be. But, what do you do when your not at your career? I Mean, what do you do for work to support this lifestyle of Gym Dues, Food, and Supplements? Hard work is no stranger to me, and I'm glad to be able to keep goin when others fail out. But to be honest, I'd almost sooner take a job that pays just a bit less and is less physicaly demanding, than one that busts my ass day in and day out and ruins my energy, and abilities to be an Animal in the gym. How do you feel about it? Not looking for BS here, your still a Man either way (or a woman if that's the case). I just wanna know if you feel bustin your ass everyday at work is worth making your training suffer in the gym, or dosen't it tire you out?

Hey I know what you mean. Is it worth busting your ass all day and then going to the gym tired as hell to bust out all those reps. YES, well atleast in my opinion. I am a full time student, I have a full time job, and my favorite I am a full time Animal.

All those will only make you stronger mentally and physically. Its alot of organization and work. Life is not meant to be easy, but in the end it pays off. It is difficult to wake up early in the morning and make all your food for the day. Studying countless hours just to get that damn degree in the end. Most of all lifting heavy ass boxes, cleaning the store, ordering the products, shit I do everything in that store.

My day is full all the time. But in the end I have become smarter because of school, stronger mentally and physically because of the gym and diet, and most of all nothing is better for me then to help my old man at the store cause if i dont do it then he will. Then I spend the night or morning training in my gym depending on my schedule and bust out those reps realizing I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED A SHIT LOAD OF THINGS TODAY. We have to sit down and look at the big picture and what happens in the long run, not the short run. So for me yes it is worth it going through all that before my workouts. I love it

some good insight indeed. This question came to me as I've been thinking of leaving the store that I work at full time to get a full time job as a Masonry Laborer. The pay is over double what I make now and would definately make bills and such easier. But I've just been worrying a bit about how it could affect my training... the pay would be Great, but it'd definately be 10x more tiring than what I do now. just some food for thought I guess.?

I hear so many co-workers, friends, etc complain they don’t have the time to “workout”. I hit the gym 6x week. I have the mind set that my workouts are a part of my life like eating meals … it’s automatic. Even back in the day I worked fulltime and took 10-12 hours (quarterly) of evening classes. I hit the gym 5x a week. Really the bottom line is make it part of your life and there always will be time.

Here is what I think. You bust your ass working day in and day out. For what? so you can get a little nicer car. So you can take your girl(or wife) out for dinner. Know yourself and set your priorities straight. In my case as long as this "lesser paying" job covers my food, supps gym membership and essentials I would take it. Dont be the Ikea guy(ed norton) in Fight Club.

Yo LurkingBeast,

If I was you I would go get that job. People like us who bust our asses day in and out to get the damn job deserve to have the best. Thats right bro you deserve to have the best job, the best car, the best house, the best shit, why? because we are the fuckin best man. Go for that job and take advantage. Trust me if you are a true Animal I am sure you will find a way to get to the gym. Other then that remember WE DESERVE THE BEST ALWAYS. Everyone who works hard does.

Think about I aint planning on working in my old mans place forever one day I am gonna have my degree and become an Accountant. I am not gonna sit still and wait for everyone else to get everything. Iam gonna move my ass forward Failure is not the option, advance and conquer. Straight up man. Wait till you have kids, aint nuthing getting easier. Thats why we need to face everything that comes our way. Good Luck Bro We deserve the best straight up. Peace

You've got to do what makes you the happiest. I make good money where I am but the BS I have to put up with day in and day out I often wonder is it worth it. Money is not every thing.

If you were to take the Masonry Laborer job could you not switch your work outs to the morning when you are the freshest?

Im a bricklayer for my pops company. It is some hard ass and tiring shit. But the good thing is, I get my breaks to eat when i want them. Im usually working from 7am to 430pm. When i get home im a bit tired, but like anything you adapt to it and it will get easier. No matter how tired i am after work, theres no stopping me from going to the gym. I can be tired up until i get to the gym, but once im through those doors...its like im in a whole new world. I break out of that shell i was locked in all day, and the beast in me is unleashed. Something like the movie, when they take the collar off jet li and he just becomes an ANIMAL. Cause thats what we are ANIMALS. The stronger your mind the stronger the body becomes.

My schedule is: up at 4:15, Animal Pump at 4:30, hit the iron from 5:00 to 6:15, at work at 7:00 to 5:30 or 6:00, usually in bed by 9:00. I work four days and lift six days. The early moning iron energizes the hell out of me for the upcoming day but I am absolutely drained by the time I get home. All of this to say, I wouldnt change a damn thing cause its what I live for.
