Wanted support and to talk to people that understand what path i have chosen and who chose the same path... the irongame
good reason bro, welcome
You can't sit back and wish you could be bigger, or leaner...you have to earn it. You can't reach the goals you set for yourself without doing the work...you have to earn it. No one is going to hand you shit...you have to earn it. Respect doesn't come to every schmo that steps into a gym...you have to earn it. You can't just wake up and call yourself an Animal...you have to earn it. Animal is who you are, not what you are. Animals earn it, every day, every meal, every set of every workout, they earn it. We look at the genetically gifted and say "That'd be nice, but I can still beat them". I don't have the smallest of joints, the smallest of waists, or the biggest of arms; but I can do whatever the fuck I want because I'm willing to work for it. This forvm has thought me that nothing is given...everything is earned. I won't ever win a competition unless I enter a competition, and earn the trophy my goddamn self; and there are people here willing to help me do it. They have earned it already, and they know how it feels. It feels good to win, and it feels even better to know that you worked you ass off for that trophy. You see it, and it motivates you. I have no trophy, but i think about Toni's, and it motivates me. She worked her ASS off, and if I want one, I have to work mine off too. I love this place, and i love these people. I love this sport...that's what I've learned.
Can anyone else say it better???

I am inspired by the Journey that was featured on this website. I was totally impressed. I promised myself to hit the gym harder in order to achieve what I want. Having supplements promotes a catalytic effect; ultimately it is the user that defines the results. I will pump like i never pump before. I cant wait for my M*Stak to arrive, as I have been reading quite positive reviews, and this was how i chanced on this forum. Work hard all. No one said being the Champion was easy.

since i have been a member of the form and was first introduced to animalpak.com... i was grossly obese at 5'2" tall and 214 lbs... i had 37.5% body fat... since then i have grown to 5'7" tall and dropped to 155 lbs at 14.9% body fat all because of the inspiration i received from all of the members from the form and with the help of the animal workouts and diets, as well as the articles posted on this website. They have helped me to push myself beyond what i thought would ever be possible. I am actually going to compete in a bodybuilding contest next year.... so follow me on my journey as i prepare for my first bb show. It will be something no one has seen before... a super obese kid entering a body building show 2 years into the sport... so watch me become the best i can with the help of everyone here on the FORVM... so i just wanted to thank everyone for their support.

this forum has helped me out a whole lot.
i remeber i discovered animalpak.com when i was in iraq last march and i picked up a issue of flex magazine and i saw the ad of some big dude (didnt know it was wrath at the time) titled "im not gona puke". i read the ad and saw at the bottom there was website. it said continued on animalpak.com/journey...something like that. i didnt know it at the time but i was hooked. whenever i wasnt outside the wire and i had off time, when i wasnt at the gym i was at the computer center on animalpak.com reading as much as i could trying to figure out what animal is all about, i began to learn about the lifestyle. i read many articles not being able to put faces to the names who wrote the articles, but i was learning. i got different workouts and tips too.
i copied and pasted the animal vocab - words and meanings to my thumbdrive along with many articles and put it on my labtop and read whenever i was relaxin in my sandy little room back on base, camp blue diamond.
i knew this was the way i wanted to train, be, and live.
and once this forum opened up i learned so much more from the brothers and sisters here, on training and ecspecially about dieting. hell i started eating oats for the first time once i learned about them on here. ive only been working out for over a year and a half now continuously, i didnt keep up with it during my first deployment to iraq it was hard and this last one it wasnt easy either but i stuck with it through the day and night patrols with the hot weather, the 24 hour ops' and all the other things that went on while i was in the shit. and im still going strong now that im back in the states. its all worth it and i love it.
i like to think im an Animal, because its the only way i know.
Bro',
I can not respect you enough, you have just described the last 2 months for me bro. I have been tearing up the iron for 5 months now and well, I am stuck in Djibouti, I may not be walking the wire like you were, but I am a helecopter Electrician and the 12+ hour shifts really grate. I respect you more than anything bro! Thanks for doing the things that i can not, but remember I got your back!
But all the stuff about when your not lifting or working, your on the site, that is how it is for me bro! You are a real Animal and all I can say is THANks BRO!
I came in search of like minded men, those who know what Train Hard is about. THose who know you have to practice how you play! Those who know that blowing chunks after a workout can feel good. I found that place here. I knew nothing of the Animal supps when I found the site, all I knew was, after reading some posts, that the people here were the ones I wanted to be around, so If anyone here is near East Greenbush NY let me know because I need a partner!

RESPECT is probably the most valuable thing i take away from this forum i have never seen so many people respect each other especially in an environment where you may never even see any of these people face to face.So much good material all in one place valuable life lessons philosiphies words of motivation and countless pages of valuable information the pro's respect the average guy trying to improve himself, animal/ universal respect us, and we respect each other as well as the pro's henchmen watchmen ect... and for what because you can't go thrue life without having respect for fellow man no forum has come close to duplicating such a good environment.... so to animal all my RESPECTS.

I stumbled upon Animal looking for an edge to my workout. Started taking M stak and loved it. Came to the website to research and learned about the other products. Now I'm on Pak, Stak 2, and Cuts. The natural progression lead me to the forum, and learning about my fellow animals. Now I'm taking in all the advise and hoping to use it in my own routine.
brothers and sisters, ive had better nutrition and harder workouts and better motivation here, but the one thing that i got, that ive had no where else, is comfort and happiness when im logged in here knowing that ill be helpin people and be recieven help on all things, and that we all forming a bond in this place we call our home away form home.
this is why god gave us freedom brothers, to build things that will bring us together and set us free. and here, fuk me do i feel free
keep it reall boyos and girlies and lets make animal proud.

I've learned there are other freaks in this world JUST LIKE ME who think of bodybuilding not as a thing of recreation but as a way of life. all the kids i know do a shit circuit training, a quick 10 mins of cardio, and leave the gym barely sweating. im in there firing out weights, screaming on every deadlift, leaving the gym covered in sweat and getting looks of disgust from every girl... just how i like it. its not about looking pretty doing it, its about getting the rewards of your training and the self satisfaction of doing it. i have basically memorized every FLEX magazine i own and cant believe that im actually able to read the day by day lives of some of the pros in the world. thank you to everyone in this forum for showing me where the true warriors are.

I've only been a member of the forvm for a few days, but ive read the forvm before and it has changed my entire life, in and outside the gym.. Ive learned that being a freak is something to be desired and soemthing i strive for, beign stared at is soemthing i feed on. Ive also re thought how i train and how i eat, i eat more calories and cut out most of the junk food, i do less reps more weight..
So pretty much thank all of you for your insight, tips and just teaching a young guy what this is all about..

I've been an active member since 9 this morning, and I'm hooked for the rest of my life.
well I got me my animal Test so I am on here tonight...happy as all.
I came here because no one else I've ever met understands what drives me. My buddies all think I'm crazy. Animal is more than a name to me and I truly live by it. I'm a different breed and just wanted to be with some of my own.
yeah no joke...Universal and Animal Pak are awesome....i am definately a loyal customer. It's crazy how many people just jump around from one company to the next looking for that next great thing, instead of sticking with the tried and true.

I wanted a place where people gave some solid feedback and some solid advice, I was tired of the bullshit I was reading day in and day out in other forums. We all have our different goals, but we are all part of the iron game, and we all train like fucking ANIMALS. I love coming on to this site daily. The first thing I do when I wake up is browse the forums for new breakfast ideas and I read the logs people keep that interest and inspire me. This is no forum guys, its the fucking F O R V M. Its where we can come for some support and inspiration without dealing with the bullshit of those posers and people that go to the gym just to catch up. I'm tired of working out with my buds that bitch at me for "taking too many pills" and for supposedly "cheating" to get bigger. Fuck that, I'm dedicated and so is every other ANIMAL on this F O R V M! I hope, through here, that I can also find some legit people to train with.
Thanks for keeping this site alive and well brothers.
Peace.

I knew about this place before all you suckers! lol
This thread has been around forever now and i just started thinking, how did i get here...the forvm happened to me. I found the AP site after about 2 tins of animal Pak. Realyly started to like the stuff and wanted to know more. And boy did i get more. Even before the forvm AP had a ton of information! and i read every single word. Got hooked on st/sh, mstak, tried stak2, pump, RG. Before i knew it i was starting to come up with questions i was going to send to AP and BAM, the forvm came out of no where. I lurked around for months, and around June i dove head first into everything, wanting to start a journey, encourage others, teach what i know. I love this place and i wouldnt have it any other way
I found the Forvm through an ad in Muscle and Fitness. After I started reading the threads and stuff on here I realized that this was the first place that I could turn to where people don't tell me I'm an idiot for what I do. We understand each other, we understand what drives us to the iron. For me the Forvm is a family I can always depend on to push me to my limit and not settle for one rep less than what I am capable of doing. Thanks to all of you who make the Forvm a brotherhood.

Something I realized today. Since I joined the forum I learned that I dont need to be in the gym for 3 hours a day 6 times a week to get results. Thats actually what I did before. Now I am in there 1hr to 1hr and half and I go all out. It gets the job done and saves me more time to rest and eat. Peace

I came here to learn, being merely 19 years of age, what i can gain from you guys with the experience allows me to better myself. My attitude has change a lot since first joining the Forvm and only for the better. Thanks to all you guys, im gonna be here for a while.
i came to find that 'extra' kick in the ass when im feeling the pull of being a lazy f*cker
We all have different reasons for coming here... Most are probably members of other forums... Why did you come here to this forum, The Forvm, and what were you expecting to find?
I was reading up on Animal Pak and stumbled across a whole philosophy that embraced the hardcore approach that I was looking for.

This fovm is awsome I have learned so much and this web site helps me stay motivated
...
Anyone else care to share?
1.) I also take in more calories now
2.) I am extremely motivated by the written works here
3.) I have a better understanding of the basics
4.) I punish myself more each time I train
5.) I treat each day like it's the last
That's 5 of a million others.
I have just started using the Animal products after lifting for a few years. I have to say I'm very pleased. About the forum: it is nice to have a no nonsence place to come and find new workouts or to be able to ask solid questions that I may have. The whole site is priceless to someone who has great potential, but needs a few pointers.
Thanks.
This one kid pm'ed me on this forum. He noticed that I lifted in his area and told me to check out his gym. I read his profile said he worked out at bayshore and worked at gnc. \
I then go to a gnc in the area meet this kid that works there. He then says that he works out at bayshore. I then mentioned that ironaddict messaged me about training at bayshore. He then said yea I think I know that kid. He then made a gesture to keep the forvm on the d low.
At this moment I obviously realized I was actually meeting the kid that pm'ed me on here. After that, I started training with him and we have been bro's ever since....
Searched for knowledge and found the holy grail, the reason why I put on this earth, to be: Animal.
I came to this site to gain any possible knowlege that will help me to improve my lifting/ diet whatsoever. I am always looking around for a new tip, or tweak that will help improve my lifting. Lifting is so important to me and i spend soo much time at it i always want to make sure i am getting the most possible results out of it. Plus, this is one of my hobbies so who wouldnt want the chance to discuss it with others. This site is great.
A lot of people don't understand why we do what we do. Here, there is unity that is rarely found. It's reassuring to know that.

Man what can I say about this site that has not been echoed already. I came to this site because I was searching for some supplements to take. Well when I saw the page opened up, it was like a surreal feeling that overcame me. It was what I was looking for in a site and man what can I say about the product line. I was trying to find out who was taking these supplements and who was getting some real world results and boy, I didn't expect to come across the info that I have seen. I have learned that their are some true believers in the iron game and the no non-sense approach to building the kind of body that one wants can be attained. I have learned how to eat better, workouts, supplements, livin, lifestyles. I could go on and on but that would be an extremly long post. This is the best site that anyone will find out there for information on this lifestyle. I am an Animal for life and I will represent the Animal Life in respectful manner like those on this site. Peace.

Seriously, it's because of you guys in here that drive that testosterone behind those weights. Because you guys dont talk bullshit. You live. Guys like you give focus and mentorship to the newbies. You dont hold back. It's hard, heavy TRUTH. Find yourself in the gym. Feel your life thru those dumbbells.
Sleep. Eat. Lift. Take your Lumps. Give thanks to your fathers in the sport. Grow. Get Stronger. Brotherhood.
Drives me to focus my life. You boys are what keeps me under those barbells. The fact that my Quads could give a boy or two a run for their money makes me lift smarter...Stronger....Bring it. I love Striations the day of my Contests....Can't have those without some dedication spilled all over the gym floor.....put it in front of me and i'll lift it.

I don't even remember how I found the Forvm to be honest. But when I did I knew I would fit in here. A lot of people were saying the same stuff as me. "My friends get mad at me cause I don't drink", "I left the party cause It wasn't me", "I wake up every morning looking forward to my training session". I finally felt like there are people here who can understand me and where I'm coming from. Best of all, I can talk to guys that know 100,000 times more than me and use it to make myself better. Thanks for welcoming me and I hope I can contribute.

This is the place that will set the standard for all sites. This is the best place that I have attended and I will not attend another unless it's to spread the Animal name. I welcome all those who have come aboard to the Forvm. Enough said, Let's get it on Baby!!!!!!!
i am here thanks to krazyassmexican. he introduced me to the forvm so i could get the help and motivation i just couldnt seem to get anywhere else! i was just about to give up on my journey when i came here. i have always been overweight, and have seen my mother suffer from multiple strokes, in which she is now mentally retarded from. i knew if i didnt make a change in my life, i wouldnt live to see my beautiful wife, and my 9 year old boy grow up. i refuse to quit, and i am pleased to say, i have gone from 419lbs to 348 where i am today! i will not quit this, as this not only has made me feel better, but keeps me thriving to accomplish more. i love this life, the iron life, and wouldnt trade it for anything. thanks to all on this forvm for all the help and inspiration you give to all the guys like me, and i look forward to much, much more! later, bigdog
Here because this is the first site that I feel is truly giving me something to gain off of as a person. And not a site full of the "Club Boys."
The ABC brought me here. INTENSITY(Naturalguy on MM) posted a thread about one of the gatherings and it sparked my interest. Didn't know this board existed until then. There seems to be a good amount of knowledge here and some very supportive people, both novice to the game, as well as the guys that have made a name for themselves Nationally. People willing to give information and help and not sitting on their high horse like they're better then the people on the other side on the computer. I like the feel of the board, and I love the attitude of ANIMAL.

The biggest thing i've learned is that I am not alone or forgotten. Being dedicated to a certain life style, you tend to miss many "social events" hell even guys I trained with while I was fighting, missed training days to go party (espically on friday nights and saturday nights). I remember I was the only guy at my gym with my coach on friday nights. It does become lonely when you live alone, your best friend is you dog, and your life is the gym. its always good to see other guys here going through the same shit. I love this place, it gives me a sense of belonging
Dedication, knowledge.
A place where i can feel at home with my questions and look for new insights.
The feeling of having brothers around who understand the love of the high you get after dropping that damn barbell and feeling noxious =)

Q: What Brought You To The Forvm?
A: I came over here to complete a registration for a Animal promo contest I entered over on the Body Building . com forum. I didn't know about this place before then.
Q: What Have You Learned?
A: I have learned that I am addicted to body building now, the lift, the pump, growing! I have learned that I really like the results I see from Universal products. I have learned that I am an Animal at heart on my way to becoming one in the flesh.
I've also learned that there are a lot of really cool ppl on this board and that the FORVM is run in a "straight up" manor which is how I like to shoot.
This place rocks, glad I found it.

The good reputation is out there. My work buddy turned me onto this place probably because he saw me at our work gym all the time and figured I needed some friends..lol.
I am learning alot about how to eat and supplement for this stuff. I have always worked out hard, but now things are changing. I am getting more shredded than ever, and putting on lean muscle.
I love the fucking dedication you all have. It is an inspiration and an honor. It is nice to be around people who won't make fun of me for this shit. I take a lot of guff from people because I know they do not understand, so there is no point in trying to make them...like why I am on this forum now on New Year's eve instead of partying because I have the day off of work tommorow and I want to make it a killer fucking work out. No need to explain that here.
Thanks this forum is just what I needed.

Just joined... I am heading the Animal Barbell Club Event in Columbus Ohio this weekend.. I am just getting back into lifting after 2 back surgeries... Slow but sure, but I'm back... I need some OTHER training info from women... I lift by myslef, but the guys help me out TREMENDOUSLY... The other "girls" at the gym, lift weights "occasionally"... It drives me CRAZY!!!!
I am doing a Figure Competition in April, so I am all about getting those muscles SYMMETRICAL... (which is a problem because I have nerve damage from the surgeries...) Okay, enough WHINING...
I'm ready to learn....

do you do any core work?
deanna7272
01-07-08, 11:35 am
When I first came back to lifting 1/07 I started by working the core... I did some with a BOSU (I know it's not exactly weight training) but I had to work on the stability in my right leg/ankle/foot (nerve damage), some pilates (because I could control the movements) and the usual abdominal crunches, etc. I have added more abs and more back strengthening exercises, but I keep going back to the "basic" ab exercises... What more can I do?
My abs are the WORST area on my body... I have never had "ABS" because it hurt to do the exercises and I had a bad back due to the weak abs... Double edged sword....

well.... where to start. i used to lift heavy weights but then i let myself be brainwashed. i let the stupidity from the matt fureys and bodyweight only cultists twist my mind. But then this week i found animal pak and brothers, reality slapped me in the face. Thats when i went in my garage and took out my barbell and dumbell. Dust covered it but now, it was washed with my sweat. Man oh man i have been lifting heavy this week and after a year or so of bullshit it feels so FUCKING GOOD!!!!!!!!i feel powerful, like i could rip a man's head off. I have been curling, pressing, rowing, and deadliftign this week. And i crave for more. i'm gonna buy a bench and more weights on payday or get a gym membership, whichever is better (cos 54 kgs of weights is fucking weak really). oh i am so glad i found animal pak. THE DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED, THE PATH SET. MY DESTINY IS TO BECOME A FUCKING ANIMAL AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WILL BE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first checked out this site researching bodybuilding forums. The more I read the forums here the more hyped I got. Everytime I read the forums here I get pumped and ready to hit the iron. I really appreciate the fact that proffessional bodybuilders take time out of their schedule to answer questions. That freakin rocks.

One of my friends recommended the Forvm to me as a place to compare notes about various techniques and methods as well as to to gain inspiration. Although quality of information is debatable depending on who posts, I've learned a number of new ways to make my back and abs inflame in pain. That, and everytime I visit the Forvm, I end up getting a surge of adrenalin and the urge to work out.

At 49 yrs. old something inside hit me like a bullet, I've got this extreme, extreme urge that I need to live at least part of my life like a lion. There is nothing that's gonna stop me from becoming the freak that I have to be. Six months after starting my workouts I found the blueprint that I needed for success, this site and this forum. THANK - YOU!!!

i honestly dont remember i think i signed up for email updates at the arnolds or something and i was one of the first users but i never got on it for months until i talked to bigc and another member who i'm not allowed to say his name and was told about the abc events
i've learned a lot and met some great people. a great way to learn and talk to other like minded individuals
I am a member of some other forums, a few I moderate on, I have always seen Animal as hardcore, the forum is as hardcore as it gets, I love all the old "just do it" type of training and diet articles.
This is an excellent site for like minded hardcore lifters that can share their experiences and learn from others regardless of who they are or where they`re from, all walks of life, all ages, the one thing we all have in common is we love the hardcore training, the feeling it gives us every moment of the day.

I walked into my supplement store of choice and they didn't have my old vitamins, so I bought a can of the Pak. I got obsessed with it, and discovered there was an Animal Forvm, so I had to check it out. I'm just happy to know I'm not alone with my fanaticism of the Animal Pak!
Since the moment I first landed in the Animal Pak site I was hooked. I've never really been into anything "mainstream", and definitely hate just being an "average" guy or one "of the bunch"... and that was the first thing that caught my attention... This site was not like the others, just as its Forum (THE FORVM) wasn't like anyone else's. I started reading and immediately knew how much I could benefit from all of these guys knowledge, and how, it gives straight NO BULLSHIT answers, I just loved it.
Thanks to everyone who makes this possible.
My respects to everyone.

First post
I came across this site through another bb website. I don't get much from that site...don't get anything really. Too many little kids talking about things that don't matter and people who don't think about life beyond what we see. They simply take life for what it is, living each day, wandering and waiting for the end to greet them.
I posted one simple question a few months back. I asked people how they focused before their workouts. I said that I watched "Beyond the Glory: Walter Payton" before I left the house to give me motivation. I also said that before a heavy set, I'll use tragedy and death as a motivator to get through my lift. The people that I think about don't have the opportunity like I do any longer.
I got responses like:
"Never really though about it.
I just do it. (yes Nike)"
"I use dat dere BSN NO Xplode... serious, heh.
When I'm about fatigued I just think about something that really pisses me off, and try to reach whatever amount of reps for that weight I want, and try to do one or two more."
"Same here. I don't need to get "psyched up" for it. I never understood why people need to. The enjoyment of being able to do it is enough motivation for me."
I treat the gym as if it were sacred ground. I returned after a 5 year hiatus from the iron. I'm more focused now ... I understand the sacrifice involved.
I know that the people of Animal share the same passion and philosophies and that is why I'm here.

Welcome. You're home.
I ended up on the site purely by luck, I kept coming back because the information was straight up, no bullshit. They're pretty much the same reasons I've joined the forum. It seems to be a tight ship without the chest beating and flaming that takes place elsewhere.
The lessons and ideas I've been fortunate enough to pick up are too many to list, and it's a list that gets longer each day.

I come here for the MEN....
Ah, to be a woman in the land of IRON....
Welcome...you have many women in here who are awesome...I have been honored and lucky enough to meet them...Toni, Elisa, Deanna...my fav 3!! =). But good to see another woman pick up the iron...Respect!

One thing I have learned here in recent weeks, days, months...etc...and this is one of the most important things I have learned aside from the training and dieting tips, the free stuff, the words of advice, the pictures, memories from events and THE CLASSIC...but the thing that means the most to me...FAMILY....I have such a huge family here...bigger than any other place...even with my blood relatives...and I want to say thank you to those people...
1.) Deanna- What a great, amazing, fun, just all around awesome woman...Such a great friend with a drive in her heart...I aimt to be like her in so many ways...Thank you for being there in Columbus for me and helping me open a very special door (you know!) and walking around Columbus when we got hungry! I cant wait to see you compete and kick ass!!
2.) Maharg- You are a guy who I seem to relate to so well. We shoot the shit about everything and it seems like we have known each other for so long. We are def. brothers man. You are going to do great things in this sport...and I am here if you ever need anything...Thank you for showing me true friendship.
3.) Excessive Endorphins- My first bro on this forum. You checked out the Journey of mine and again, like maharg...we have become brothers. Me, you and Maharg are the next generation...the next group of ANIMALS to be on the top...No doubts about it. Just keep pushing man, and I am here for you until the end!! Thank you for being a true ANIMAL
4.) The Landlord, The HOUSE, and little X- You guys have shown me so much repsect, kindness, and everything. I have thanked you time and time before and will thank you time and time again. You let me in...and I will honor that...and you are apart of my family too...Again, if you ever need anything...ever...no matter what....I am here. Only a short drive away! I hope you all get all the blessings you deserve. You are such great people. Hearts of Gold and you can tell you all have such great souls...an amazing family...the true definition of ANIMAL love.
5.) Madcat, Fury, Big C, Polish Prince, RooRoo, Luke, Joe, Sarah...anyone I am forgetting in my Columbus crew (some of you are not from there but thats where I got to meet you)- You all took me in...I am a KY boy born and raised, but you treated me like an OH man, a brother that you all acted like you knew since day 1. You all have constantly pushed me, showed me love and care when my family and I needed it, and been there to make me feel at home...like again...one big happy family..which we are! I am again honored to know you all...I mean damn...I have brothers and sisters 2 hours away and you have a brother here!
The main thing is this...You all might have known me for 24 hours or less...some more from the ABC meets...met me maybe twice, or once...but treated me again like you knew me from when I was only knee high...And that means so much to me. Family is first beside God...and I will take this family with me in heart, mind, muscle, spirit...everything...until I die. I owe you all sooo much and will repay it someday...somehow...but I thank you all...God Bless and MASSSSSSS RESPECT AND LOVE!!!
IN IRON...UNTIL THE END!!!

I was brought to the forvm because I have been buying Animal products exclusively for about a yr. now and started doing my research on the organization and I really like what its all about. Very motivating and hardcore, I no longer feel alone in my course, I feel as if I don't have to go it by myself any longer. The forvm provides my the help I need and desire, great knowledge base for a young cat in the game. Also the kinship, the non-bias atitudes and advice. I have only been a member for two days but have been looking for a while for a place to express my passion and I think I am going to be here for the long haul. I want to thank everyone who is apart of this for helping now and in the future, I hope that I can contribute as much to you as you as you have to me.

I one thing that brought me to ANIMALPAK.COM was the various Animal Ads I saw in bodybuilding magazines several years ago. I would read the ads and want to put the magazine down and hit the gym.
I became a member of the Forvm to share my experiences, to learn from others, and to talk with people who had a similar passion for weightlifting.
It would take me hours to list all the things I have learned from both ANIMALPAK.COM and the Forvm. To make it simple, I wouldn't be in the physical shape I am today and I wouldn't have the energy I do each and everyday I am in the gym!!!
told i had to register with the forvm in order to get my shirt after going to the NorCal ABC. ended up staying cuz of the solid advice. no bs here like other forums.

I was brought to ANIMAL because of my passion for lifting. Alot of the sup companys out there are about the might dollar and not the reason. I came to animal for advise and direction. I found the no BS advice I wanted plus was able to get some kick ass non BS sup's to help my transformation. Its been about 2years since I became a serious lifter and ANIMAL has been the only sup that I have faithly kept in my arsinal. So i stay glued to the Forum for advice and tips. Also to spread what I have learned over the years.
Honestly, I wanted to be able to see if that Wrath dude was on here, and of course he's not. Every other fuckin Animal IFBB is on here, but NOOOOO not wrath...
Of course.
Still kinda pissed about that....but I met some sweet people on here that I talk to via the forum, e-mail, and telephone every day. I'm glad that I'm a member here, because I get a whole lot of feedback from some smart people ( some ) that can critique my diet or workouts that are the RIGHT corrections.
No more flying solo...Always under someones guidance. Usually Toni, you go gal :)

I joined an ABC so it was natural to join the forvm. What I have learned is that this is more than a bunch of meat heads on here talking about how much we push/pull, sling, throw, or about how bad we hate cardio. This is a place you can come to get knowledge from the Pros, most of which are normal, but huge ass guys that will answer anything. It is also a place to get encouraged, hell everyone on here likes it when someone hits a new PR, or is just in a general great mood about a killer work out! In short the men and women of the Forvm are the modern day warriors who walk the good walk and fight the good fight!

I came here looking to find other freakshows in the circus we call life.
For straight talk about lifting and the community. I'm new to lifting and this has been a valuable resource to me.
I also have a job and a life...and as a result I need to find what I'm looking for and hit the gym. I don't have time to muddle through posts filled with whining, bitching, chest beating and ego contests. Here I don't have to deal with that.

I always loved animalpak and when I found out about this forum I knew I had to join it. What brought me to the forum was wanting to be part of this great company. What I have learned in being part of this forum is that we all do are part in helping others that animalpak is more then just guys lifting weights. It about being part of a family that cares about your goals and is always there to lend a helping hand when we're in a slomp. And thats what I have learned about this forum.
i was an avid fan of g diesel's diary of a madman. eventually i noticed a new tab at the top for the forvm. i have learned a lot. about myself. i have learned that the most important "plate" to an animal is the dinner plate. i now know why the bathroom is as important as a bedroom when looking at a new place. and every time i swoop up under the squat bar and as it nestles itself into my back i think of the forvm. I think of how many hours of reading i have done and the inspiration i have gained. even when not in the weightroom. when i open my mouth to bitch, i think about all the animals who are the grind too, bitin their lip, waitin on theirs. then i close it. indeed i am standing upon the shoulders of physical and mental giants. is it not my duty to represent them and their beautiful ideals?
wow.. that was an inspirational speech. no joke bro. thanks for keeping it real
I have rcrott1 to thank for turning me onto the Animal. For years I had lifted weights, but without much direction or guidance from those knowledgable in the subject. Then I met rcrott1 and he turned me onto what has been such a great success for him and I can see why...great no non-sense products and a community devoted to the iron. Everyone here shares the same philosophy of releasing their inner maximum potential and doing it for themselves. There is such a vast amount of information and those willing to help you along your journey on this site that it should be considered invaluable to those in this game.
It's out there fellow Animals and it's up to YOU to go get it...

We all have different reasons for coming here... Most are probably members of other forums... Why did you come here to this forum, The Forvm, and what were you expecting to find?
Well I first stumbled upon ANIMAL supp's by search'n the net. After asking somequestions to the pro's they recommend'd that I join the forvm and i could get a lot of valueable info. So I did and in turn besides all the info I gained it helped me fine tune my diet and my training to where I am slowly but surely becoming the muscle bound freak I want to become. I dont want to just turn heads and have people stare at my size I want to break necks. The Forvm is helping me do that.

I came here because of my love for the iron. It's in my blood. This place is a great resource for bodybuilders and powerlifters alike. It's full of people who are willing to help and who'd give you the shirt off their back. They give it to you straight. No bull shit. I guess you can say the people of the forum directly reflect what Animal is about. No bullshit, hardcore, down to earth. I've never been around more real and upstanding people in all my life.

I been checking out the forvm for a minute. I love it because its raw and uncut and straight up like i think man should be in life and towards anything he is doing. I just love the lack of glamor its just rugged and to the point. Feels like home lol.
I agree with you printez625 it's just a rugged and straight up kind of forum. I started on Bodybuilding.com also just reading articles, but then found my way to this hardcore wasteland. I don't know how really, guess it was just the way of the animal inside of me that brought me here feasting for more info. I've learned a lot just from reading different threads and articles and such. So thanks all for your knowlege and experience in the way of the iron, and helping me become more knowlegable in this way of life. Peace

Google took me hear while i was looking for some bodybuilding information. I read some of the articles and stories and got inspired immediately. I wanted a piece of the action, the lifestyle. I got hooked. My life changed that day. Made some sacrifices, bid farewell on old things to embrace the new. I never had regrets, never looked back.
From this site I learned the value of determination and sacrifice in pursuit of a dream. That walls are meant to be broken. Pounds and KGs are just numbers, what matters is results.

Well, so far I've learned that heavier means bigger!!!! No 90 rep nonesense, just low reps, heavy weight. I have to say, being an animal makes me quite proud as I am quite fond of lions as it is. All the stories I read and the advice given to others makes me know that I'll be alright here. The Animal instict brought me to this forum and the pounding of the iron keeps me coming back to learn more.

I was told about the FORVM by Toni69 about two months ago after finishing up at the gym one day. I never took the time to visit the site, because she and I trained at the same time everyday and if I had a question, I would just ask her. Toni recently moved back to the States and now I am at a point where I am about ready to change up my routine. So, I figured I'ld visit the FORVM to get input from some of you guys. I haven't even posted a question about my plan routine; I've only read what others have posted and I have already decided on some changes to be made.
I'm here for the community! I am here because I am in a place where I have to stay motivated. I am here because when I am working hard and I am feeling like a bad-ass, I want to see that someone else is working harder and that I need to shut the fuck up and train!

Look at the other companies animal wants to help you do it and the others want you to buy shit. If you make it then they will give a shit.

What have I learned? Ive learned that I can never learn it all. I am constantly trying new things...tweaking my workout to benefit myself. Everyday is a learning experience.

What up bros! I kind of feel into the forvm. I used to get supplements from other sites or just pick them up at the local yupi wannabe store. But getting into this site I get a sense of genuine HARD GAINERS who have the same outlook as myself. I have been into training since high school and continued throughout college, mostly power lifting for football. I am now in the Marine Corp and have dropped alot of weight but a better overall appearance. I have recently began my journey and will hopefully make some really good progress over the winter, I will be deploying to Iraq and will not have any negative destractions to pull me off my course.

what got me here was my big brother he would go to the gym for long times
and i always wnated to go
so i was loking up some sites and landed here
and after signing up i learned abit about the game which isnt for everyone
and how much effort you have to put just to get little results
well thats how i am
i was a skinny boy
not i pout meat and muscle on my bones
and what inspired me
my big brother
and everyone here at the forvm
big thanks to everyone
I live this shit now. Its really all i think about. Ive never been so inspired. A friend of mine put me onto the Universal/Animal thing and i love it. Its not just the supps, its the lifestyle, hitting the gym hard, eating an assload of clean food and the sky really is the limit.
I dont post as much as everyone else but i come here everyday and read up on everything and try to learn as much as possible. I found this site and signed up and was looking at the journeys and came across Enforcers Get Huge or die trying and i was like "Thats the way you hit the fuckin gym, fuck the bullshit".
This is my favorite site now. Thank you.

I happened across this site one day.....I don't even recall why or what I was looking for. I just remember seeing it, reading a few things and I thought "Man, these guys really seam cool and I could really use their help." I signed up and I think I started my journey pretty much at the same time.
Now, being 33 and just getting back into the game, I thought I would encounter what most of us have encountered in our lives...big egos....Well, I will say that I have never read or been spoken to in a disrespectful manner....everyone that has posted in my journey have helped me more than they can ever know......
I was tired of the fat assed POS that I had become and I knew that I wanted more, needed more for and of myself.....I guess I hit rock bottom and I started losing weight through diet and cardio.....I got so much positive feedback that I just kept at it.
Now, I want to gain the right way. I can't wait to get home after a gym session and post up my results. I know I am still EARLY on in my devlopment, but everyday is a personal best for me.....better than the day before and if not at least better than 1 year ago!!
To my brothers, I say thanks for the help, motivation and direction to go where I want to go....

I ended up here from bb.com. I started asking about what joint complex to take, and the overwhelming favorite was Flex (which was everything people claimed -- both my wife and I take it now). As I've used up my other supps, I've slowly switched to the Animal equivalent (now on Pak/Pump/Nitro/Flex/Omega).
I've met some cool people here via ABC, and there's a lot fewer butthurt drama queens here than at bb :) I plan on sticking around.

I had been out of the Iron Game for a while! Ended up getting married, having kids and went on a cheese burger diet..lol.
I'm deployed now under a government contract overseas and my brother challenged me that I wouldn't come back in better shape then he would be in when I make it back home.
With all of the hoopla surrounding supplements I just decided to keep it old school and looked up Animal Pak cause it's been around almost as long as I have. So you could say following the Pak led me here. And i'm highly impressed with Animal. It's like a damn Movement going on.

Came here by accident when looking to refill my pak can. After high school sports, played one year of ball in college, quit, drank and smoked and did whatever else. Got real sloppy, went from 220 clean muscle football health to a 240 slob.
Then I got tired of laying fat girls and feeling like hell, so I switched up everything and dropped to 190, all crisp weight, at 6' 0" with veins in my calfs. Got another ten to go to see that vein in the abs.
With the risk of sounding corny, this place actually got me excited to go to the gym again, something I hadn't felt since I was 16. At 24, and working a 70-80 week, I'm nothing short of fuckin grateful.

I cannot stand hypocrisy or arrogance. I find these two traits in abundance every time I set foot out my front door and it makes me sick. It's a world where the evil & cowardly rise to the top and good men are spat upon. In this place respect, honor, and commitment are not only encouraged, but expected of every member of this forum. We come here in pursuit of a common goal and that is why this is more than just a "forum". It's a brotherhood. And my sanctuary. Here's to the bros who keep it real every day. Peace.

I came to Forvm so I could interact with other people who understand why we choose to live a life like this.

I know quite a lot about bodybuilding i've looked into it for years but never really applied it (i know!). i am getting stuck in properly now, and finally in the last couple of weeks i've taken my diet seriously. i know if i eat how everyone else does around me and go to the gym i will look like every normal guy at the gym. i criticise other people, im a hypocrite. but not any more, i have looked at myself and am wanting to do what i know is right. my diet comes first, and this is something i learnt from everyone on this site. i am applying what i have learnt from here, and giving my (noobish) 2cents when i know what is right to those beneath me
i would like to also give a great shout out to all the animals on here. i am new, and im sure its nice to hear i greatly appreciate your kindness and careful consideration to my questions whenever i have them. im sure we all agree this forum has a great feel to it. thank you

i came to the forvm to rekindle my love for the game. 10 months later, 27lbs. heavier, and alot stronger.. im hooked. Gotta love the brotherhood.
what i've learned? nothing in this life worth having comes easy.
Making some changes. Did my research. Best advice & motivation I found on the web is on these boards. Starting M-Stak next week. If all goes well I'll stack it with Pump.
What's up my bruddah's ?!?!?!?!?
2nd post.. 1st one was about 15mins. ago pertaining to the 20 rep squat program (i'm a huuuuuge squat advocate btw.)
What brought me here eh ??.. Well let's see.. i'd say the articles in the livin' & training sections.. a lotta of'm are so friggin' deep it's ridiculous, but I feel a lot of the same way as those articles go on about.. after 21 years of training it's all about the truth!.. fads come & go, but the truth is just how it is.. a LOT of what I read here is just that, that's what caught my attention & ultimately that's what got me here.. F' the sugar coated saran wrap bullshit..bust your ass, get the job done & do it again the next day.. that my friends is livin'!

I went through all the supplements. Big names, big promises, broken promises. Found this forvm through an animal ad I believe. Popped in every once in a while when I had a random question, now I call it home. The motivation, the conversations, the hard work of others, and the simple idea of knowing that there are others out there just like me brought me in. I'm hooked on here everyday. What have I learned? That's an easy one: F-O-O-D. I learned that there is no magic pill or supplement that will get the results you're looking for. Food is the best of the best. Since I've learned that, my gains and results have gone to another level.

I'm here because quite honestly i realized i'd been training the wrong way for the goals that I wanted and I figured being new to this, it would be helpful to turn here to get some advice from people who've been doing this for a while.
