Well bovat I have a close friend who did 4 years of football in high school, and as far as I know he told me the way there coach made them train lifting crazy ass weight and doing a lot of running. So training wise you should be ok. If you want to keep your mass just take in more calories.
Make sure you get a full range of motion. you may not be able to do as much weight, but getting that full range, will help strength. you shouldnt be that sore though all the time though. Make sure you are eating enough and getting the vitamins you need. Get some Pak and Nitro and you should be good.

I played ball for four years too, and lifting my ass off and being sore for practice never kept me from being all state for two of 'em. I found that the more I ate during the day led to less soreness later on, and we lifted our asses off right before practice. I swallowed 4-4500 kcals per day, and by mid season both my junior and senior year, my coach, along with the other players, began to think I was taking illegal shit because I was constantly making gains. You have to eat man, and in the end it boils down to who can suck it up, and who can't. Peace.

yo i play football too and i had this problem. you still should work out atleast twice a week. not too heavy, but atleast workout. and eat everything possible. if you do this you won't lose weight but you will have to loose some strength, but not much

just like all of these guys said man, youve got to stay in the weight room, especially for football. When I played, I woke up at 6:30 so I could lift before school and then go to practice and do homework after school. It's going to be hard, and you definitely wont be able to go balls out every day, but cover your bases and make sure you eat up. Hit some light weights the day after the game to get the stiffness out of your muscles, too.

Gotta eat up dude. And when you think you're done, eat some more. Maybe adding some Uni Liver tabs (Universal) to the mix could help too by providing extra protein and aminos. Get after it! Good luck. Peace.
