I recently went to the doctor to get some medicines for my breathlessness. He asked if i do weights, as the answer was yes, he started asking questions about supplements. I told him i'm taking whey protein and he questioned if i took creatine. I said i wanna try it soon and he stopped me. He said whey protein shakes doesn't do any damage to the body but creatine does. He said it can cause kidney failure. For some people it takes a long time and for others it's within a short term. Plus he has got a few patients who have kidney problems due to creatine. I was so excited to buy my new tub of creatine till i heard this. I really don't know if i should take the risk. What do you guys think?

I think the doc was wrong. I searched google all i could find that affects kindeys is creatinine. NOT CREATINE.

There have been 100s of studies showing that creatine is good for your body and that it helps in growth, repair, and endurance. Most doctors have you stray away from sport supplements due to the fact that the more you take control of your body and keep it clean, the less likely you will get sick and need to see him, and therefore him not making money.

okay.. i read all the articles u sent.. in one of them, it said that creatinine is an excess from creatine.. creatinine is the one which u don't want to have in your body.. if theres a constant and high dosage of it everyday , the excess(creatinine) is definately going to harm the body.
