Hey Fellas,

Been a while since I was a regular here, want to start by apologizing to all that I pissed off or hurt through my words and actions of the last year, I am truly sorry. None of you deserved what I said to or about you, I can't take it back but can hope for forgiveness.

Been a rough year, still clean and sober but it has been a struggle. Earlier this year, Mrs Lowdown5 decided that she has been through enough in life in dealing with others and wanted to focus on herself. We are in the process of getting a divorce but that is life. She is a great lady, kept me alive and sane for many years and I want nothing but the best for her. There is zero animosity between us, it was just time to travel this life solo.

I have fully recovered from 2 rotator cuff surgeries and am back in the gym on a regular basis. My diet is good and as of today I was 267 pounds, not to bad for a fat old guy.

I am gonna be logging my training here, diet on occassion and sharing my thoughts with any of you that want to read them. I will show 100% support for any that support me, believe that.

I want to thank some people in general for their support and issue personal apologies to some as well.

Thanks go out to Big Ant, Deanna and mostly to Grant (pizzalamp). They always checked in on me and made sure I was doing ok even in the darkest of times.

Apologies go to J-Dawg, U-Rep, AnimalRep, GiantKiller and mostly to Rcrott1. They know why so enough said.

Well, that is it. Thanks to Universal and Animal for having such a great place to share thoughts and ideas, show support and gain insight and wisdom from some of the greatest people on the planet, THE LEGION.

Thanks for the time in reading this, let the games begin.

Trying to limit cheat type meals to once maybe twice a week. Diet is much better than in the past, eating clean and smaller portions and it seems to be working.

Something dawned on me today while talking to a friend. I realized that I was so angry about me divorce that it was robbing me of some of my focus, my drive and my determination. But I am not angry at my wife for wanting to live her life without me, I am angry at myself for putting her in a situation where she had to choose.

I was a terrible husband, a horrible man during the years of my addiction. I was a monster in a suit, a man who cared more about getting drunk or high then about his family. And even though I felt like I came out of it unscathed, I realize that my family didn't, my wife in particular.

I robbed my children of happy memories, gave them nightmares. I was the boogie man in the closet, the one that they feared. I was supposed to love my wife with all my heart and placed her behind drugs and drink. What kind of man does that?

I don't know if any other woman will ever love me the way my wife did, I doubt it. But if none does I won't hold anyone but myself responsible. Even though the addiction faded the damage was done.

I created my own hell, now I must live with and in it. It is a lonely place, but it is mine.

I'm glad to see you back on the board John. Sorry to hear about your present troubles. For what it's worth, it seems to me that you've taken things in stride and have kept up hope through everything. It must be a struggle confronting the demons of your past, but you're doing just that. I know you to be a man full of courage and optimism...you have always had my respect. With what you've dealt with, sometimes it must have been hard to keep your head about things. Yes...you may have created your own personal hell, but I remember a Jewish carpenter once said a few thousand years ago, "The kingdom of heaven is within." With that said, within you lies many possibilities and I know you have the means to find them. Good luck with your journey John....I'm with you all the way.

Tomorrow I turn 49, never thought I would live this long after all the abuse I inflicted on myself. Going to go have dinner with my kids at a really nice steak place, enjoy a nice big dessert and then after that I am going to focus on myself and my goal of getting in the best shape of my life. Gonna need some help along the way and I know that the Legion will be here when needed.

Been a rough year, but I will overcome it. Life takes many twists and turns, it is the ultimate roller coaster and will throw you from the tracks if you aren't careful. But I say fuck it, raise your hands high, scream at the top of your lungs and enjoy it.

Didn't train today, going to hit the gym in the morning and celebrate being another year older by doing legs. What better way to tell yourself that you are truly alive.

So full, so good and it was great spending time with my kids.

Great workout and great numbers.

I like that upcoming split, too: 2 on, 1 off, 2 on, 2 off.

I'm doing a 4 on, 1 off routine right now courtesy of some booklet included in a box of some (shhh) Gaspari supps. I'm using my Animal Pak, though, too, so I don't feel guilty about using the Gaspari routine. lol

Are the Pizzalamp recommendations posted in your journal? I'm going to take a look for that info.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks Curt!! As for the supps, I will PM you what I am doing. I run Animal Pak and Flex but some of my supps are not Universal/Animal and out of respect for this forum I won't mention them.

Have a great weekend!!

Going to start my new split as created by BigAnt today instead of Monday as my work schedule is all fucked up this week. Training will be,

Sunday-chest and biceps
Monday-legs
Tuesday-off or cardio
Wednesday-back
Thursday-off or cardio
Friday-shoulders and triceps
Saturday-off

It will change a bit as my schedule changes but that is out of my control, we all gotta work.

Later!!

Alright, inventory is over and thanks for all your support and patience. Our goal number was 2.26% and we came in at 1.51% after all the adjustments so it was a big win and a great moral booster for my team after all their hard work. Had some supervisors that worked from 5:30am to 11pm Tuesday and never once complained. A damn fine group of folks they are.

I am taking off from work and life itself until Monday and then life gets back to some form of normal. Then it is back to the gym and work for a bit until October and some much needed vacation time. Really need to decompress a bit, eat some junk food and just chill. Maybe even go and get a good deep tissue massage, who the fuck knows. But then it is back on the attack, gotta keep moving forward.

Again, thanks to all for their support. See ya all Monday!!

Today I went in and did an hour on the elliptical, crossramp 7 and level 7. Will hit the weights tomorrow as I snuck in a bit of weights on Saturday and Sunday to keep me sane.

Going to start back again going to some AA meetings as the urges to drink have kind of creeped into my head but I have not given in and I won't. Just need to get my head adjusted and keep on the right path.

Been a bit since I stopped by, life has been pretty rough lately. I decided due to the stress that life was putting on me to step down from my position at work. Couldn't do 60-70 hours a week, go to AA and work on my sobriety and train, so I picked the obvious one to give up. Took a pretty good pay cut but it is just money and it doesn't define me. Was really hoping to go to the 2010 Arnold but I don't think I am gonna make it. Priorities are different now, survival and sobriety are the main focuses.

Hope all of you have been well, miss you cats. Will hopefully stop by more in the future. Until then, stay strong and stay focused.

Hey everybody, still alive and plugging away one day at a time (pretty much the story of my life)

Clean, sober, training and working are pretty much the theme of everyday.

You all take care, later.

No Columbus for me this year, but I will be there in spirit. Miss you all, miss this place.

Life is good, just keep plugging along.

Take it easy everybody, life is short so live it like there is no tomorrow. Because there may not be a tomorrow.

Later!
