I got into bodybuilding 2 years ago after not lifting a weight since high school. I got back into it because i was becoming really thin (i was 175 at 5"7) and realizing that almost all my muscle was gone. I have to admit, at first i did get back into it to look good and feel better about myself. Today i think about why i do it and my thoughts have changed or altered i should say.

Today i am 210 lbs. Same waist size but so much bigger. I lift now to push my body to the extreme. Then upon reaching that point, i push harder. I like to see my body fail and prove to myself that there are no boundaries in this thing. There is no such thing as "too big" or "working too hard". For me, the light is always green and i tell myself that constantly. Every rep. Every set. Even when i take a day off and realize i am so tired i could pass out, i smile and laugh, realizing i put myself through hell and a half the day before. After my day or two of rest, i look forward to destroying myself again in that room and seeing just how far i can go. I love bodybuilding and that is why im' here. And so my journey has begun....

Arms today. Triceps, Bi's, and forearms. Went up in all of them and can finally really see the difference. That week off to get engaged did wonders hahaha. Kinda got tired in my 3rd exercise for biceps probably rust from being off so long. Feel really good. Just finished my protein shake and time to recover.

Did shoulders today along with some cardio. Shoulders went up this week too even though i felt kinda tired even after drinking some NOEXPLODE. Funny thing is i was tired but managed to get a decent day in at the office. Finally bought a tin of ANIMAL PAK. First time user and it's been too long of a delay. Just started today so i'm excited to see what this beast does. That's it for now. I'm due for another shake!

This has been the first time i've taken 2 days off (was off yesterday and the day before just did cardio). I feel more rested than usual. We'll see how it goes in the gym. Arms tonight and wish i could head in right now.

Did arms last night and chest the day before. My bench went up 15lbs since i've been on Stak. Plus like i said i'm filling out more which is unreal. Arms last night would not quit. The more i punished them the more they wanted. Has to be the Stak talking. Has to be. Got 2 compliments about my increase in size at the gym last night from a couple females. One saying i looked good the other saying they didn't recognize me. Not bad huh?

After that 1st can of Stak i'm thick all over. It's such an awesome feeling and the mirror shows me great results. I'm very excited about starting my second can tomorrow morning. I started the new Cuts today since i'm now in my first ever "cutting" cycle. I hope to see great results and drop all the excess baggage that iv'e had bascially my whole life. Once again, ANIMAL FOR LIFE.

Started a Stack of M-Stak, Pump, and Flex. Today will be my second day so we'll see what happens. Right now my wrist feels a bit better but still hurts a little. Hopefully the new Inzer wraps will do me good tonight on Chest night. After two days of rest i'm always eager to get back in the gym. If my body could take it and rest didn't exist, i'd go everyday. I'll post numbers after tonight.

Tonight was chest. Like i said wrist is still a bit uncomfotable at times but i notice it is getting better but still wrapped the wraps tight tonight. A few weeks ago i could barely get up 225 on the bench....today i got up 250 4x. i was quite happy since it looks like my work is paying off....i finished my routine with machines also going up in weight on those biggest difference was the decline going 360lbs. Like i said great night for me and i was pretty happy.

First day back since my big trapezius strain last night....did a full chest workout tho i admit i was cautious since i didn't want anything to mess it up...couldv'e gone a lot heavier but at this point im just getting back into it....im done with MStak but i was not at the gym for bout 75% of the can...guess it was a waste :( Trying to decide if i should start another can...either way tonigth is arms and i seriously can't think of anything else right now. Even work is useless today oh well.

After being at the gym now for several days and finishing up MStak i'm seeing more results interms of a decrease in body fat. My pants are looser yet my upper torso is bigger both my shoulders and back. obviously being on MSTak, resting due to my injury and watching my diet were crucial. i'm gonna wait another week then pop another can of Mstak this time on my normal training schedule.

Finally tore into some of the free packets Universal has sent me. Shock Therapy was in order for yesterday. To be honest i have tried many NO products but Therapy has sold me. I have to admit i was skeptical (which is why i haven't bought it yet), but wow did it deliver. Not only was i more focused, but i wanted to extend every set until i could barely move. The intensity was insane and i am definitely going to look into getting some more of this. Chest day was awesome:

I'm doing the pyramid i've been doing for 2 weeks now at 12,10,8,10,12.

Dumbell presses (definitely went up in weight)
Cable Crossover Flys
Machine Incline
Machine Decline

Easily one of my best workout this year. Very encouraging day. Now to track down some Shock and ditch the red pill in Pump for a bit.

I'm embarrassed to post tonights workout just because my deads suck shit. seriously. but this weekend has given me confidence to let it all out and get advice from you guys. :( Here goes:

Back night:
Deads: 185x10, 225x9, 275x4, 295x2, 225x8
Machine Rows: 140x12, 160x12, 180x8, 200x6, 220x3, 180x8
Seated Machine pullbacks: 140x12, 160x12, 180x8, 200x6, 200x5, 180x8
Bent over rows: 135x10, 135x8, 155x6, 135x8

Except for the deads, i was very happy tonight. i went up in weight and my concentration and focus was dead on. I'm gonna be hurting tomorrow for sure....now if i could just get my deadlift grip to stay.. :(

Added Torrent to my regimen of Nitro pwo. Tasted sickingly good. We'll see how she does.

Solid work in here, Steve. Just keep at those deads; they're come around. Are you using any straps/chalk currently? Chalk helps me out a ton with my grip. And... I seriously hope you have a steak in your hand right now.

Shoulders/Triceps
Incline military Press: 140x12, 160x10, 180x10, 230x4 (first couple sets were warmups)
Dumbell lateral raises: 25sx12, 35sx10, 40sx6, 40sx4
Front Bar Raises: 45x12, 75x10, 85x6

Cable pulldowns: 40x12, 60x10, 70x4, 70x4
Overhead Cable extensions: 40x12, 60x10, 80x5
Barbell skullcrushers: 75x12, 85x8, 95x5

We'll see how i feel in the morning. i was rather sore after this which was weird since i was doing way more sets with the pyramid, but i am using heavier weights :)

Chest and Biceps tonight. Didn't do legs this week because of my kinda-sorta-strained quad. Did it over the Arnold weekend but wasn't during the Metro hours. Go figure. Going to take the weekend off to rest since i'm on this new routine of 3 days off and 4 days going hard. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. As i was saying before i think i might have been overtraining with that pyramid so we'll see how my body reacts to heavier weight and an extra day of rest. From all the research i've been doing it sounds very promising. (Thanks Aggs) Still have a stuffy nose but my quad feels a lot better. i can actually walk without the little limp.

This routine is holding up pretty well. It's strange to me how my workouts are shorter but i feel it more. I mean i know why its just that compared to my previous routines its diffferent.

Back day continued today with my focus on getting my Deads in order:

1.5 scoops of ST and Pump minus red.

Deads: 135x12, 185x10, 225x8, 275x2 (my frustration continues but focused on getting a good back workout nonetheless...)

Actually hold on. Stop everything, take a Medical First Responder course. Any basic one will do. Go back to working out. Have somebody say something about your lifting, open your knife and... Go for the brachial artery first, then go for their carotid artery. THEN HAVE THE STONES TO BANDAGE HIM UP (loosely, ofcourse) But hey, that's why you took that Responder course...you want to at least make it look like you're trying to save him. Call 911. State in the call that he's lost alot of blood, needs an ALS unit to come to give fluids. When medics show up and start an IV, rifle through the drug box and find the insulin. Give him 6-10 units of insulin. If the bleeding doesn't kill him, that will.

Walk back, finish your set of deadlifts.

Then I dunno...flee to Cuba or something...

Day off today. Leave for Guatemala on Friday morning so i'm doing my schedule a day early. Today was supposed to be legs as opposed to yesterday. The people at my gym know I bench on Mondays, as its my weakest body part; no other reason. Once I walk in, anyone using a bench immediately strips the bar, wipes off the bench and walks away. I then have my choice of which bench I want to use that day. I use the other benches to put my bag and water jug on. No one else can bench when I am.

Things finally did turn around midway through my chest session but that Bench killed my mood and it turned into anger which essentially helped me rebound, i guess. I'm looking for bigger numbers next week for sure.

Thanks Aggs! Yeah going with that route on shoulders from now on. The fronts are a little bigger than the rest so have to even em out a bit. I'm up to 1.5 scoops now. Definitely feel the difference from 1. God i love this stuff.

Yeah. Its my deload week from the 5/3/1. Today my max set on squats was 180x5, haha. So I'm taking this week off from stimulants completely, Shock and coffee. I don't need any 'kick' for this week's workouts anyway. Next Monday should be interesting.

Day off yesterday. Stomach pain and problems are gone but a wicked cold has reared its ugly head. Almost done with my antibiotics and soon should be able to digest meat properly and more solid foods. Enough of this soup and white rice bullshit. Tonight is leg day and i'm relying on Ice Cube's latest track to guide me through it. Now if my nose would stop running i'd be set lol.

Sorry about the cold! A lot of us seem to have had them this spring.

As for the foam roller. I wasn't convinced of how great it was till it started loosening up my outer quads and hip flexors, and suddenly I could move better. It's great on my back, too, which still stiffens up because I have limited flexibility back there to begin with, thanks to that foot-long titanium cage propping up my lower spine.

Give it a shot -- read up on how to use them (there are any number of places online with instructions) -- you won't be displeased. Mind you, when you're rolling over really tight and bound-up areas, it hurts like a sumbitch, but once those loosen up, you're golden.

Good luck with leg day. Mine are really bitching from this morning's.
