My god after a year of training my ass off today i had the biggest pump today i have ever experienced in my life. I train at 24 hour fitness so everyone is always looking at you crazy if you put forth any effort to lift big anyways. I finished my last set of shoulder presses with the weight maxed out at 240 with 6 reps and damn did it burn baby. Yea i was making some noise because thats heavy for me. once i got my air and my sanity back this woman was looking at me and shaking her head. So i pulled off my headphones and she said " i dont know whether to congratulate you or advise mental help". I am far from looking like a freak, but damn i train like one evryday and its paying off. This is the life brothers.
i am also far from looking like the freak that i want to, but i love when i finisha heavy set and someone is giving me funny looks. i always pull out one of my earbuds, as an invitation for them to speak. The usually follow with a acomment about my mental health, being crazy, or ask me why i would do that to my body. I always respond that i love this, this is my life and i am commited to continuing this for the rest of my life. then before they say something dumb, i put my headphones back in a continue on with my next set.

yea no shit. they go and never lift enough to cause even a slight burn, and if it does they stop because they cant handle the pain. And we get the crazy looks because were not scared of the pain. I cherish the pain
this 53 year old loves the pump and pain....I live for this shit guys....and anyone that sees me train...knows its my time...its my life and not to fuck with me. Im a nice guy...but in the gym...its business. When fighters are in the ring fighting...you dont ask them..."so...what kind of car do you drive".....I have the game face....and get my training done....anyone looks at me sideways...most of the time I dont see them....and if i do....the look they get is...."Im training...dont fuck with me"......Imust say though that most of my gym buddies admire what I do...at this age its insane...but I love it. last night the arms exploded.....and still picking up the pieces...

Dont listen to what everyone else says. The bigger you get, the more looks and weird comments you'll get. My wife supports what I do, and I have my goals. Thats all that matters. Only animals understand.

to the 53 year old, with age we get better and more determined. I am closing in on 31 and putting up as good numbers as I have in years
