I was wondering on form to specific lifts..... This guy in the vid below explains tire flip technique but i wanted to know if it was correct when going into a comp where you needa repeat in a set amount of time

The next i was conserned about was the Keg load/Atlas stone Lift i heard getting right over it and bending down was the form but i just wanna double check b/c it looks like as you get to those heavier stone it could cause problems to your back .... im looking into doing this righ with little unecessary injury .... so any answers on form for the various lits would be helpful ...

He makes some good points on the video.
You definitely need to drive through the tire, not deadlift it. I've seen so many guys tear biceps on a 900 lb tire because they deadlifted it.

Kneeing the tire doesn't help it either. Its more of a follow through movement.

Work on explosively getting the tire off the ground, and do it in a forward manner.

hey higa. ever think about doing a strongman dvd to show proper form, and training tips? it just seems like the sport is taking off and something like that would be pretty cool. just a thought...

gunna have my 1st event day on sunday wont be able to get this by then but ye got any tips for keg loads farmers walks or sled drags currently all i got for now lol gunna get a tractor tire within the next week or so
