How you doin fellas? This is going to be my Journey to a show in late February or early March of 2010. Waiting on more promoters to post their competition schedules on the NPC site. I am 19 years old, and I want to get my first show under my belt before I turn 20(March 17th). My bulk began 2 weeks ago when I finished up the "Cutting Battle," and it will run until the end of November if I can find a show in March.

My Bulking Split:
Monday-Chest,Delts,Tris
Tuesday-Legs,Calves,Abs
Wednesday-Back,Traps,Bis
Thursday-Chest,Delts,Tris
Friday-Legs,Calves,Abs
Saturday-Back,Traps,Bis

Diet:
Shooting for about 220g of protein per day. As far as carbs and cals go, anything and everything. This is going to be a pretty dirty bulk. I don't have much time to bulk, and I can shed fat pretty quickly. Don't be surprised when I am 220lbs of fatassness in 3 months.

Supplements:
Currently, just my staples Pak, Flex, Uni-Liver. Plus, Ultra Whey Pro and BCAA Stack.
Starting once it all arrives(hopefully Monday): M-Stak, Torrent, Real Gains, and Pump. I call it The Brotherhood Mass Stack.

Workout and thoughts will be up tomarrow.

Good workout. Felt jacked throughout the entire workout. Tried to keep my reps high as it was my second Chest,Tri,Delt session this week. 75lbs felt like a ton on the skullcrushers. Tri's were fuckin dead from all the presses by the time I got to skulls I guess. I really like this split. I have been pouring the sweat every session. Got a few comments on my delts today, too bad my rear delt is non-existent haha. Lookin forward to legs tomarrow.

Good workout. I'm not going to be able to walk tomarrow. My hams are so tight already. Deads felt good. 225 wasn't that heavy, but I told myself before I even walked in the gym that I wouldn't go higher than 225 on my first day back. I think the Pully Drags are my new favorite exercise. Killed my hams/glutes forwards and backwards. My order should be here on Monday, starting my stack asap. I'd prefer to start on a Monday, but I'm pressed for time here. Gotta get huge!

Good leg workout. Back was a little tweaked from work. Had to move a motor alone that weighs a freaking ton(40hp electric motor that runs the belt line on a rock crusher). It was heavy enough to crease the tailgate of my truck, which sucked. That dropset of squats nearly kicked my ass. I am really focusing on form, arching my back and making sure I push my knees outward, so I decided to use the Manta-Ray. Anyways here are some pics of my bulking stack.

A guy at the gym made the comment that my biceps looked like they were going to explode when I was doing the crossbody hammers. I am starting to feel a little hungrier, M-Stak is kickin in!

I was killed today. Worked from 5AM to 7PM in the sun, with a shake before work at 4am, meal at 10am, and a meal at 7pm. I felt super drained during my workout, but I looked amazingly hard. My muscles looked like stone. I remember the last time that I took M-Stak I remember looking and feeling solid. M-Stak and Pump are definately a lethal combo. My muscles felt very full, but the energy just wasn't there today. Can't wait to be back at school where everything is scheduled out, and I won't have to miss meals or do manual labor 12hrs a day.

Deads felt really good today. Getting down into starting position and holding a good arch through my sets was a lot easier. 12 sets of 8, its a lot of reps, but I was focusing more on my form and flexibility. Another week or two of this, and I am going to start doing some heavier weights with less reps. Just making sure I don't injure myself, since its only been about 4 years since I have done deads. haha

Thanks Broc! The Lat-Pulldowns were killer. I went to 20 on the last set. I was imagining Arnold from Pumping Iron when he was talking about the 3-4 extra reps that separate the champions!

This is the best workout that I have had since I weighed 200+lbs. The 100's went up easy. Huge pump all around, and I was literally dripping sweat. I tried something new today with the flat bench snowman. Next time I am going to do 2 45's for reps, have someone pull one off, reps, drop to 35,reps, drop to 25, reps. M-Stak is making me hungrier than ever. Also, I am feeling very sleepy. 8hrs just hasn't been enough.

Hey I dont know if you have gone to the gym yet to do legs. But I did legs yesterday and tired the one leg squat/lungs that I saw in a Fankhouser video. Oh man....i'm an old man today, bearly can walk. I did them on the smith machine with the calf raise bar. He did them on the standing calf raise machine. But thought it if you wanna try them out.

Great workout. Fast tempo from set to set. No more than 1min rest between any sets. I was on the verge of puking atleast 3 times during this session. The Smith Front Squats were painful. I just cranked up my Ipod, got in the groove, closed my eyes, and counted to 6. I have never gone that low before. 14in is pretty damn low, and 245 felt pretty light. I can't wait to hit up squats with no pre-exhaustion next week. Hopefully I can find a spotter in the rec center that is semi-trustworthy.

Attempted to do those squat/lunges Kon. The Smith at my gym needs oiled extremely badly, and I found them very hard to do. Also I didn't try them until afer the close stance front squats, so that could have had something to do with it. haha

Haha....yeah they are awkward at first. I did them pretty light and the non-oiled smith machine would not help ya out. But Really good looking session. Thats what you gotta do just close your eyes and dig deep.

By the way I'm sitting at 195 also!!!

Good workout. Following in the footsteps of the House. Since I am working everything twice a week, I will be doing one day for thickness and one day for width. Today was Back Thickness, hence all of the close grip work. Good pump, felt big. Back had a huge pump, but it was weird. I had never gone all out close grip before, and the pump is different. You don't necessarily feel wide, more of a swolen feel? haha Anyways, I am currently cooking up thickness and width chest sessions, so any suggestions throw them in.

Really good workout today. I feel like I am getting stronger almost daily. I dropped Physics, because my teacher didn't speak english. I picked up some 1hr courses to meet the requirements for my scholarships, and one of the classes is Spinning. Yes, Spinning as in me and 29 girls on stationary bikes for 1hr twice a week. Uping my calories to compensate. Talked to the instructor, and she said I could kind of do my own thing. So I go through motions with them, but I focus on resistance instead of speed.

Good workout today. Last set of Front V-Squats was super heavy. They really isolate your quads. 450 in plates, not sure what the machine weighs. I try to go as low as possible on every rep, and I knew that if I hit the bottom I would get buried up. So it was kind of like a powerlifting meet. haha I just went down slow and waited on my partner to signal before exploding up. He said I was within a quarter inch of rock bottom every rep. I literally waddled to the closest bench and had a good sit down. haha

Ok, so my front delts are destroyed. I don't know if its from going heavy on Monday, or if its from front squats on Tuesday. All I know is the I pushed through the pain for the 4 sets of presses. Then, I grabbed the 40's for incline flies, and I got 1 rep before I decided to call it quits. Ok, more potential bad news. Typing a PM to Rage along with pics of my legs as soon as I post this. I am possibly going to skip out on the teen show, and focus my efforts towards next years Fankhouser Grand Prix. I'll be there this weekend to scope out the collegiate class. My thighs are setting at 26 1/2in. Pitiful. I will not go on stage with a package that I am not proud of. I will never be satisfied, but I think it is possible to bring forth a package that I am proud to present. One quote keeps rolling through my mind. "Pain of discipline. Pain of regret." My beach boy days finally caught up to me. Should've been training legs 2 years ago. Granted I was injured for part of the time, but I will admit that I milked it for all that its worth. Pain of regret........

Today was an amazing workout. Went heavy on barbell rows, busted my ass on t-bars, and pulled 405 which is a PR for me. Going to the show and ABC, training with other Animals, seeing TTL and scals intensity, and meeting the House have motivated me beyond belief. I thought I trained with intensity before, damn was I fucking wrong. My guts hurt when I left the gym today.

Awesome workout. I really liked the way I set this one up with 3 pressing movements hitting each group hard and heavy right from the start then finishing them off with isolation. If anyones lookin for a good chest/delt/tri session, give this a shot for sure. 6x12 on bench was just killer, especially switchin up grips.

Today and yesterday have kind of been working rest days. I feel so drained these last 2 weeks on this program. Yesterdays session looked like this.

Seems like these are the types of days that really help you grow. The days you think you have a plan, but you go with something else instead because of how good you feel. You are able to challenge yourself, and you succeeded with a new PR. Great stuff right there.

The first day of my contest prep is here. I must say with my cardio and weights out of the way and one meal to go, I feel very accomplished and very focused. Last night as I was up late prepping my food for the next 3 days, there were thoughts of doubt rolling through my head. Do you really wanna do this? Do you really want to eat dry ass chicken every day for the next 15-20 weeks? Can you handle 6AM cardio on 5 hours of sleep? As I turned my alarm off at 5:45AM, this is what I had staring back at me.

First standalone shoulder session in months. First time doing free weight presses in a hot minute. My delts and traps were engorged with blood. The behind the necks really stretched my front delts and pumped up my rear delts. Shrugs were hell on earth.

In and out session. My triceps looked ridiculous, and my biceps were screaming. I don't know why I haven't been training this hard from the start. Sessions like today and my Wednesday session are how I need to start putting it in day in and day out. I realized today that I've got to where I am with lackluster workouts and a halfass diet. It's time to put it all together. Train harder. Move faster between sets. Make each rep feel like eternity. Keep sticking with my diet. Who says its impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time? Nothin to it but to do it.

Great log in here bro, going to be following for this cut. I am working to break the 200lb barrier by the end of 09. Looking like I need about 10 more pounds, so reading your log is definitely a motivational tool. I will probably follow a similar path, get up above 200, then cut down. All the workouts in here look on point...
