View Full Version : Unbalanced chest
Hello people,
Since bodybuilding is not a temporary ambition for me, I have a problem to solve which bothers me a lot.
I want to mention that I'm a newbie and I do not use any supplement but multivit, for now.
There are several unbalanced muscles in my body. Chest is the one which bothers me a lot. My left side is bigger than right side and in order to even it out, I'm not doing incline and flat bb bench press but I'm doing them with dbs. Am I on the right track? How long does it takes to even out, because people can notice the difference when I wear tight tees.

Hey man I have the same problem. Just gotta stick with the db's and overtime should get better. You are def on the right track tho..

Keep pushing, dont over compensate by doing more weight on the one side as you will eventually overpower it. It should catch up if you continue to hit it hard with drop sets, negatives, and a good 10-12 rep range.

make sure you are bringing everything up evenly...
i see alot of guys doing to much weight and their dominant side takes control so that the weight does not go up evenly...
control the weight for every rep..
also make sure that you have the correct tempo when you are lifting.. for example on chest go with a three count 1,2 on the down stroke then an explosive (still controlled) 3 to finish out the rep... this is crucial you must make sure that you are not just dropping the weight then pushing it back just to drop it again...
not saying you dont but just make sure the ego is left at the door.. when i lift i have tunnel vision i am thinking about what i did on my last set and what i am going to do on my next set to make it better... im not looking around at the girls walking around or the guys pushing more weight than me. I lift for me.. You lift for you... sorry for the digression i just got out of the gym and saw this jackass when i was leaving talking to girls then trying to bench 315 and all he did was move it three inches down and three inches back... what a waste... so hope this helps i know i went on a tirade a bit but nontheless keep at it...

Balanced technique will balance ur chest. Go lighter if that what you need to do to make it work. If you're not feeling it on one side of your chest you're doing it wrong for any chest exercise.

Thanks for the advices.
If I'm on the bb, the right weight is not as high as right one. However, it's ok on dbs. I can feel the pain on my both sides after training.
I have no ego problems so far. Going to gym as soon as it opens and there are only a few people at that time.

These things take time bro.
Do the obvious: train hard, eat big, get plenty of sleep.
The rest will fix itself over time. Give your body a chance to truly develop and then worry about the details later.
