this thread is for the ANIMAL who steps on stage.

no not the powerlifting stage....the one with the hot lights and where you strut your shit after a long contest journey.

lets talk about DETAIL.

everyone talks a good game about how much they can lift, and what they pull.

what about the exercises that give you DETAIL.

DETAIL is what seperates the men from the boys -

So lets hear it.....ya got an awesome super set, a combo, or it could be some off the wall exercise that just ripppps up the quads to show that zipper like DETAIL

a little tip for deep striations in the quads and hamstring glute tie-in

squat down real low, your heels can come up and your ass touching the back of your calvs.

get on the side of a bench...not a bench press.

with your hands on the bench not holding it...jump high and clear over to the other side.

land easy not hard, and try to get 30 EACH side.....do not move your ass first, all squats.

But I do have my favs for exercises...walking dumbbell lunges with long strides and with a gingerly speed....

Also "3 second" holds on all machine/cable back work...

Sounds like an old school hoops drill from my youth. Makes me wanna break out the Strength Shoes.

Would be awesome to get some vids of these. We could even start a thread dedicated to perfecting form on certain exercises. Good idea?

for my final set of leg extensions, I like to do a 100-rep set... The burn is exquisite, but it seemed to hammer out some detail...

I scour the Forvm on a regular basis looking for advice like this, I'm taking notes BigAnt.

i really like giant setting leg press/hack squat/lunges. 6-8 on the press and hacks, 12-15 on the lunges for 6 sets. i know i aint seasoned enough to be throwin ideas out there now, but that took me from 3 distorted slabs of visible beef into that visible "V".

my favourite for delts,

triset:
side laterals 15
front raises 15
Db presses 15

and arms:
chinup faliure
dips faliure
