Hey everyone, my name is Jake. I am 20 years old and have been lifting since I was 13, bodybuilding since 17. Currently I am 5'10" 260 lbs, and not too sure what my bf is. I am guessing 20%? A lot in my glutes, and midsection. My first contests are not until April/June so I am starting out very early. To get me started on the fat burning process this is what my diet looks like....comments or suggestions are appreciated. Now remember, not until about 5 months out will I start going super strict. This is just to get me going...

Meal 1: 1 cup oatmeal w/ 1 cup fat free skim milk, large banana, 30 gram protein shake

Meal 2: 60 gram protein shake (inbetween classes)

Meal 3: 6oz steak, 1 cup brown rice

Meal 4: (Postworkout) 60 gram protein shake, 1 cup brown rice

Meal 5: 6oz chicken, 1 canned tuna

Meal 6: 6oz chicken, 1 canned tuna, 30 gram protein shake

Note: After my postworkout meal, as you can see, there are close to zero carbs, and this is after 5pm where I get no carbs in. My first meal is at 9 in the morning before class.

Thanks guys!

What exactly are you trying to do right now for these next 5 months?

Just burn fat I guess? But I feel like since I am so far out I shouldn't need to go so strict. But maybe so.

I'd try to get some whole food in there for breakfast instead of the protein shake. Whole food is always better than shakes. I'd also throw in some carbs in those last 2 meals. If you're seriously thinking about competing, eat carbs now because there will be a time when you can't have any, and it definitely sucks, I'm doing it right now. A sweet potato or some rice would be fine, even oats.
