This is going to be the start of my new journey. Coming off of a very solid bulk, I feel really good about this. I hope to be working with Rage for a cut a little bit later, but am going to finish off about another two to three weeks of bulking and be happy with life.

I started off today with an arm session which I will bring over from "The Honored" section in my next post here. I hope you all can learn something and I can help to motivate you to your goals if you decide to follow me. Let's get some work done.

Talked to Rage. He actually tripped me out. He asked if I wanted to diet down for a show or to rock a tank. Ha. That would determine the length of my diet. So.... I told him the truth. I want to rock a tank. But for all practical purposes. I really want to get this protective layer off I've had since Freshman Year of High School and really and truly assess my weak points. So I think I'm looking at about a 14 week diet depending on what Rage says. I'm going to get down to where I've got some relatively decent cuts, and start from there. If I don't see anything that needs to be "fixed" before I step up, I'll pick a show, and rock it from there. So for all intensive purposes, this is my contest journey, but It's here because I don't know when or where. I know you guys are gonna give me the support and advice I need, so It's time to get up and running. I'm headed out to the gym now for a Leg day.

Sounds pretty serious.... The one I ran through was a little tough. I may need to up either the reps or the weight or both. I still had a little left in the tank afterward which is a sure sign of slacking...

So... After the results have come out from the Iron Contest, I would like to congratulate Firedrake, shortstack, and Big C for coming in the top 3 respectively. You all did a great job. Little disappointed as I didn't make the list, but it's apples and oranges. Just that much more motivation for me come the first. I can't get bulking right, but dammit, I sure as hell won't let a cut get the best of me. Fuel to the fire fellas. Fuel to the fire. The intensity is white hot and only gonna get hotter.

Without cardio, they take just under an hour. Closer to about 45 minutes. With cardio, it depends. I try and keep my rests very short. It works for me that way I keep motivation through the whole thing.

EXACTLY!!! I keep trying to tell the world that weight training, good dieting, cardio, and consistency are not the way to go. It's sitting on your ass all day except for 6 minutes holding a self shaking weight... They just don't listen.

120 x 12 stopped completely because I felt like I was going to puke... Not a very cool feeling at all. Not the puke from exhaustion and muscle strain, just something in the pre-workout supp... I figured out i can't do Blue Raz anything... Ever in life. At all. Didn't puke though, so I was good.

10 minutes at 3.5 on a 2 incline, 5 minutes at 6.5 at 3 incline, 10 minutes at 4.0 at 4 incline, 5 minutes at 7.5 on 0 incline...

Abs
75 Crunches... Couldn't go anymore.

Spent the whole drive home holding down puke. I got back to the house and lost every bit of my shake this morning plus what was still in me from the PWO drink... Never again... Time to get some food in me. I'll catch up with you guys later. I'm out. Be easy.

yeah. I felt kinda weak doing them. Brutal movement.... Failure... I had to put the bar on the bottom J-Hook on rep 17 so I didn't count it. lol.

I would if the money were there. I'm going to look into a slightly cheaper joint support and maybe find my omega's elsewhere. see what I'm getting in the diet itself and try to work it out from there. Just a little pinched for change is all. You got any ideas?

Yeah. The overall volume is going down, but man, gettin in the reps on some of these are a bitch. But I've gotta stick with the weight I set. Otherwise, i'll feel like I bitched out. I don't go down in weight.... Lol. Reps to failure. Sho nuff.

Learn to love wobbling and holding on to things when you walk!

Two? You mean to tell me that you quit on two? Lol. The guy I had go to the gym with me couldn't do one push up after we were finished with the weights. We were cranking out (supposed to be, anyway) sets of 20 for fun, and he failed epically at 1. First time in the gym for a long time though, so I don't blame him.

Front squats didn't happen today. I can't do them. It's not a question of where I am mentally, it's physicality. My shoulders will not hold up to them right now. They're fucked as it is... Hopefully, after some R&R, they will be able to do something. I tried it with 95 just to see and it didn't go down at all. So.. I just did regular squats ATG

Me either bro. Try doing a big time carb load day, resting about two weeks from heavy squats and hit up some deads for reps one week. The hit it up. It should work well for you. Lol. I want to be able to do some front squats, which is what today called for, but I honestly think some serious rehab work is in need for the shoulders. Surgery was on the table a couple years ago... I think it's resurfacing.

On a couple side notes, I'm down to 219 from 226 when I started this time around. It's a bit much, but you also have to remember I'm going from 350 carbs a day to 150 plus fasted cardio. All my previous cardio was done after my carbs were in my system. It's going to slow down quickly. I can feel my body adjusting to the lower carbs.

Number two is I finally got registered for classes. I'm going to be taking 16 hours next semester. I'm pretty excited about it.

Have you ever tried front squats in the clean rack position? I had a shoulder issue too that kept me from doing them with arms crossed in front of me, so I went to this position and it worked great! You initially can't use as much weight because if you lean even the slightest bit forward you'll dump the weight. Give it a try!

I'm doing chapter 1607. I was going to do the post 9-11, but it works out better to finish out your VA benefits and then do the new one. Trust me. But the chapter 1607 is 80% of what chapter 30 is per month. You get a payment per month direct deposit and are expected to use it for school.

No Ab work today... Didn't have anything in me. Everything went okay today... I mean, my presses were slow once I got to 155, but other than that, the shoulders aren't going to fall off. Still going Monday to see what the deal with them is. I know I still feel my traps from last night. BUTTTT.... I felt good for the most part today. Minus the whole traps thing. haha. The clean and presses at the end were done because someone came in and wanted to do some with me as he'd seen me do them before. He set the weights up, I just did what i could with them. He was pushing me I'm guessing because he didn't see over 135. Lol.

I'm doing chapter 1607. I was going to do the post 9-11, but it works out better to finish out your VA benefits and then do the new one. Trust me. But the chapter 1607 is 80% of what chapter 30 is per month. You get a payment per month direct deposit and are expected to use it for school.

So are you able to pocket any of it?

Yeah. I mean, I was at a JUCO though. Lol. I'm going back to that same JUCO. I'm going to transfer to Chapter 30 after this JUCO bit is done next year and I get into the 4 year university. Once my benefits are damned near exhausted, I'm going Chapter 33, which is the post 9-11 GI Bill. It pays rent for your schools zip code, plus full tuition and a $1000 a year stipend for books. On that one, the Stipend and rent go to you, but the tuition costs go to the school. Did that help you any? I hope so. That's all i got. Lol. I can come up with some sites for you.

Hey, you did good work on the shoulders if that's what you can do when they're bothering you! That's the key: when you can't do what you -wanted- to do for a body part, do something that works it another way.

Juco? Idk..im confused. All i know is shortly after i get out i want to start up school fulltime. I know the BAH will help some, but ill still need to work as much as possible. Wife,pets and probably a kid by then.

Juco is Junior College. Community College, whichever you wanna use. I wouldn't use the post 9-11 until you've used the rest of them. You'll be eligible for Chapter 30, which is 100% of the school costs. I really do suggest using that until your 36 months are over. Because if you exhaust those, you get an additional 12 months under the new one. It really does work out better in your favor.

I would just pay for it out of your pocket once you get out as most junior colleges aren't very expensive. After that, and you get into a major university, apply for Chapter 30. Use those 36 months, then during month 36, transfer over to The new one. Chapter 33. You get an extra 12 months plus BAH.

thanks man. It was a pretty taxing day all around. Raked my Mom's yard right before going to the gym. The Cleans at the end were rough. I kept telling myself that I'd be happy with one. Lol. I failed twice. Got to the waist line and that was it. It fell on me once pinching my stomach between the bar and the belt. Yep.
