iam starting to lose my appetite. the food sits in front of me for 15-20 mins n i just stare at it. eating is getting hard for me i dont know why. i don't finish my plate anymore and its kinda effecting my gains. i wana know how do u guys force urself to eat. their has to be some mind tricks u guys do to eat more. comeon guys pleaseeeee share. iam fully motivated towards training but seem to be getting lazy towards eating.

It's a lot about attitude. You have to have a positive attitude about food. Remember, it's more important than training is. Training breaks you down, doesn't make you grow. Sit down with that plate, and know that finishing it will help you recover from your workouts and provide the fuel for growth and heavier weights. Try adding some new foods to your diet, bump up the calories with more liquids like milk, fruit juice and protein powder. Try flavoring or spicing your foods differently, but most importantly, say to yourself in your head "quit being a bitch and fucking eat this food."

What does your current diet look like? Try changing up your foods, change up the spices you use to prep your meats/eggs/ etc. mix and match your meals, keep it interesting.

if you cant eat it all at once, split it into two meals and eat more frequently or eat more calorie dense foods so you dont have to eat as much volume

I don't even think about it, I just chew thoroughly and swallow. Wash it down with lots of water.

my current diet looks something like this
meal1-solid-2 whole eggs 4 egg whites with whole wheat bread
meal2-shake-whey+oats+milk
meal 3-solid-chicken with rice
meal 4-shake-whey+oats+milk
meal5-solid-whatever meat with bread or rice
meal6-shake-whey+casein in milk No oats

what iam really looking for is some good homemade shakes that can help gain me some serious mass. I think iam missing out alot by not getting 6 solid meals. shake just seems more shallow than a solid meal, but i have no choice i can't consume 6 solid meals.so I want my 3 shakes or atleast 2 shakes to be as good as a solid meal. any suggestions for some good mass builder home made shakes.

it just depends on how your body works......and what works for any individual......i drink shakes a lot generally because i have no time to sit and eat between 2 jobs and school.....and i am still bulking.......just depends on how dense your shake is......this iswhat i drink 3 ties a day duing my bulk....try it see if it works for you man....

3 whole eggs, 1 egg white, 1 spoon natural peanut butter, 4oz milk, 1/2 cup 4% cottage cheese, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 scoop whey....blend and drink
722 cal, 69 pro, 44 carbs

my body reacts better on moderate carbs...you an increase the carbs depending on how you work.....

There are millions of people in poverty on this earth, starving to death and you cant finish a plate of eggs and bread? or any of those other tiny-ass meals you listed?

You're lucky enough to live a life of excess, so you better fucking take full advantage. You'll never catch me complaining about how much food i have to eat to be a bodybuilder.

Its about MOTIVATION, man. Doing what you HAVE TO, to get where you WANT TO BE.

i can easily consume what I am eating right now but i try to add up a bit more food to my plate for the sake of stepping up in the game and getting more calories in then my current diet so I can grow bigger than I am now but its kinda hard sometimes for me to eat more then I am eating now. I really like the shake u spoke about sunny... thanx

You have to look at food as merely FUEL that you are consuming for RESULTS!

In this game you don't eat for pleasure, satisfaction, or appetite, you eat for gains, period!

If you can't get your mind right, you will never succeed.

ur right shizz the more i think the longer the food is in front of me. today i just stopped thinking and just ate it.nike's so right JUST DO IT! cause everything big can only be done without thinking cause if i kept thinking I would have never ate that big meal or lift that big weight.

Yea bro, don't mean to put you down or anything, I'm just giving it to you straight cause there simply is no sugar coating the eating aspect in this game.

You can't look at it as a chore or a nuisance, you just have to look at food as fuel, plain and simple. Look at it this way, bulking, cutting, maintaining, whatever, it should not be looked at as a DIET, but more a LIFESTYLE. Diets fail, lifestyle changes succeed!

i drink 4000 calories a day. my appetite sucks but so i do what i gotta do. i blend up 3 cups of raw oats, 5 spoons PB, 100ml oil, a banana, some choc syrup, 4 scoops gainer and 2 scoops whey.

then i eat 3 meals a day.


you gotta eat fast and beat your brain. hell, ive growled at fuckin meals like dave tate under a barbell

I wouldn't do this, only because you will have to eat even more to make up for the cardio

try to remember that the food is what is keeping you from your goals, stare at that plate, dont let it beat you. you can even talk trash to the food before you eat it to pump yourself up. i myself shit-talked 3lbs of spahgetti last night. apply the same intensity you use in the gym to your appetite.

i dont really want to promote the use of narcotics but of course there is that other way to make yourself hungry too... cough cough.

Ha ha basically i just dont let myself sit there for 20 mins in the first place , gotta beat the brain and just shovel that shit down! Remember its whats gonna benefit your gains the most , eating and sleeping. Just remember that and it makes ti easier for me.

I've noticed when I eat then pause then eat then pause I can't finish what I am eating. I've read it somewhere that their is a time limit after which something gives ur brain a FULL signal. I am guessing that's what u guys are referring to when u said about "beating the brain"

I wish I had your problem. After any meal, no matter how much food, I'm still hungry. I used to eat 4 x 5 1/2 oz turkey burgers on 4 slices of whole wheat bread with 2 cups of vegetables post workout and was growling for more... WAY MORE.

But anyway... Make sure you meals aren't so damn dry. I'm guessing, but your "solid" meals are probably dry nonfatty meats with a side of bland rice. Eat fattier meats and throw some hot sauce, mustard, olive oil, or even some straight up water to make those Paris Hilton meals slide down your throat.

I could eat all day. True story. I love food, so money. But I get sick off certain types of food (sweets, buttery, salty, etc.) they kill me.

i know that doesnt really help you, but just keep at it.

You're not even eating enough to gain ANYTHING... Pour olive oil on some of that meat and make yourself a hefty peanut butter and banana sandwitch once a day. You can't gain bodyfat if you're eating really clean, trust me.

i just started doing a 5000cal diet today so ill see what happens - shit i love eating food so i should be all good. but there are those days or even times during the day when you just plain dont feel like eating. what i do is just prepare my meal, turn on the tv (at home of course) and just munch - dont even think about what your eating, the worst thing to do is to stare at the food and start thinking about it, thats when half the battle has already been lost. dont think about the food just eat it - this is one place where thinking is definetly not advised
