for those bulking over the winter, I have a pretty good sauce that I make that can help make a ton of meals with.
get either a 3-4 inch pan or a pot
heat 2 tsp of olive oil, sautee one onion and 5 cloves of garlic until soft
pour in
2 (28 ounce) cans of peeled tomatoes (I use ones out of our garden)
2 6 oz cans of tomatoe paste
about 3-4 cups of water (depending on how watery tomatoes are)
3 Tbsp of italian seasoning
2 Tbsp of dried basil
1 tsp of sugar
pinch of crushed red pepper
bring to a boil, turn heat down to a med/low heat a simmer for 3 hrs or so.
