Anyone have any experience with Bicep Tendonitis?

I went to the doctor and he took an x-ray and nothing is seriously wrong. Ok good... But he wants me to go physical therapy. I plan on going but I can't until January because of insurance reasons.

So until then, I have to try my best to rehab it on my own. The doctor says I have a unique case in that it mostly happens around where the shoulder connects with the bicep. Not in my case. The pain only occurs where the bicep connects to the inside of my elbow.

I found a few rehabilitation exercises and plan on doing those. Other than that, I have just been taking about 8g of Fish Oil plus a Glucosamine/Chondroitan supp (which addresses joints, not tendons, but can't hurt). I have also been using Tiger Balm but haven't tried icing it very much as a friend of mine has recommended.

I have mostly been training around it. But does anyone know how long it may take to go away? Any info on this topic is appreciated.

Yes i think i have this as well..
I get pain right where the forearm and bicep meet,is that where yours is as well?

It was bothering me when i was benching yesterday...

I think i have it in my elbows as well..I took a wider grip on squats and that seems to be helping...

I too have a pain like this on the inner half of my bicep, where it meets at the forearm, and my elbow tends to get sore sometimes. I usually ice it afterworkouts, it doesnt affect the weight I use on exercises but it is annoying as hell as it comes and goes,

If anyone has info. on this please post, right now Ice and then heat are the way in which i treat it, as well as taking Animal Flex (joint supp) and fish oils

Find a chiropractor, physical therapist, or massage therapist who does Active Release. It will do wonders.

Also, ice the hell out of it.

It seems this is a very common affliction among lifters.

It also seems that there is not much you can do to rid yourself of it permanently.

I feel pain in the same area sometimes next day after my bi workout or the same day. I realized I get this pain when I over squeez at the top while doing a curl. Since I stopped squeezing at the top too much i dont get the pain anymore

Find an A.R.T. specialist, other than that just avoid things that aggravate it. Get a neoprene sleeve and wear that to keep it warm while training and ice after training.
