Just to give a quick background of myself on here, I have been an avid weightlifter/bodybuilder for the last 3 years. I've managed to transform myself from a 155lb guy with no clue on how to diet, workout, or sleep properly into a guy who is 205lbs in moderately decent shape.

I am currently 28 years old and last week was diagnosed with a rare disease known as Meniere's disease. Doctors aren't sure what causes the disease, nor do they have a cure for it, they can only hope to contain it. At anytime I can get blackout dizzy spells, sweating, vomiting, fatigue, after having a long talk with my Dr. he said it would be fine to maintain my life as normal in regards to working out. Right now to control the symptoms I am on a low sodium diet in hopes that will take care of a lot of the dizziness issues, unfortunately I have lost hearing in my right ear that I will probably never gain back.

I'm not coming on here for sympathy or to whine and cry about my situation as I know there is nothing I can do about it, but I do know that the bros here have a support system like no other.

Obviously this has wreaked havoc on my training over the last few weeks, someone purchased the "muscle now" training program for me many years ago as a gift and I never paid much attention to it but I came across the book last week and saw that the training regimen that is has you follow starts off slowly to progress your way into working out and I think that would be best for me now.

So here's my journey, hop on the bandwagon or get run over by it!

Subbed brother, sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but you're all over it and you have the FORVM to back you!

Let's get it done!

Thank you brother I appreciate it! I'm hoping that I can make it out to a MD ABC meeting sometime in the future!

just as I got back into the groove of things my Dr. told me to hold on training until I get an MRI done on Friday. So I'll be back at it on Saturday full steam ahead! Looking at starting a new training program as well.
