I did use the search and the only thing that really popped up was 'Your Journey' results so dont hate. hhaha

Any way, I've been gaining great with my weights on chest days. The bottom and outside of my chest have grown the most, but not seeing the inner/top part fill in yet. Now I prefer to do dumbbells on incline, but should I just get on the barbell and move my hand placement in a little more to try to hit the inner part better? Also should I just increase my incline sets and do fewer flat press sets?

I would recommend doing barbell presses first thing in your chest workout, and then using dumbbells for your flat bench work, as well as another incline exercise such as incline flies, or a high incline HS press.

Also keep in mind that there is no quick fix for a shallow upper chest, it's just one of those things that takes time and consistency.

G. wrote this a while back and it made quite a difference in the upper / inner part of my chest area.

check out this video from MD...Dorian talking chest training at a seminar held at Bev's over the weekend. He makes some great points about how you really can't separate chest training and it all comes down to genetics.

And not to swirl the world in the mind/muscle storm again, but chect/pecs is one definate area that gains tremendous benefit from being able to press thru and with the pec muscles and feel them work and contract at the top and then stretch and separate at the bottom of the stroke.

Superset heavy decline pressing with incline flyes.

decline presses cause the most total muscle fiber activation. There are a few studies staying that heavy declines activate more upper pec fibers than incline because of the increased weight.

follow that up with high rep flyes and you'll spark some growth.

Focus on squeezing the chest at the top and controling the stretch on the way down. I was having the same problem. I lowered the weight and slowed the reps......killer pump.

Incline Barbell or Dumbbell Presses and Close Grip Bench Presses will fill out your chest pretty quickly if you are not use to doing them.

alright guys. Tonight was my chest night and I followed what G said on his upper chest training, and overall i got a massive pump, but just was not feeling it in the middle upper part of my chest. Where I'm feeling it the most is the upper outer part, up by my arm pit and down around there. I was doing everything in a slow controlled manner, kept my grip slightly closer than usual, and full stretch on the way down and complete flex and hold on the top. I really don't see how im doing it wrong if I am but if anyone can help me out shit I would love to see whats up.

Thanks
Chado
