You must use a better search engine than I do because I have a hard time finding articles or pictures related to strength sports.

I've done olympic lifting for three years, age 11 to 14, entering some competitions as well. I simply dislike the "move the weight from point A to point B" thing.

Any kind of lifting involves moving the weight from point A to point B, no?

The nature of Olympic-style lifting is especially dynamic, and involves multiple joints and muscle groups--it works the "kinetic chain", and therefore it's especially good for developing functional strength and explosiveness.

What kind of lifting do you do now?

Correct, I didn't state it properly.

Practically, it involves moving a weight without further addos, this is why every momentum, jerk or muscle group is deployed. I prefer bodybuilding lifting style far more, not to mention that olympic lifters don't have pleasant physiques. It's simply not my thing even though I did learn stuff from it.

Fair enough, though the idea of what constitutes a "pleasant physique" is pretty subjective... folks like Pyrros Dimas look as solid as anyone out there.

I'm sure that if the majority of them cut down to single digit bf (most them are already lean as it is) they'd look pretty good.

Ivan Stoitsov is a good example: http://www.bodybuilders.gr/data/main/forum/mainuploadsfolder/alexandritsa78/2008123114204_Ivan_Stoitsov_O_pagkosmios_prwtathli tis_stin_katigoria_twn_77kilwn.jpg

There are exceptions to everything, really. I wonder what is the factor that allows the minority of power and olympic lifters to create a nice physique.

Is it really only a "minority" of Olympic lifters who have "nice" physiques?

Most of the lifters shown on this thread have good builds; are they all "exceptions"?
