Hey everyone, this is my first post on this forum. My name is Mike Kuhns, I compete in the USAPL/IPF in the 132lb. class. I won the USAPL Mens Nationals last year and the I.P.F. Bench Worlds. I competed at the Titan Pro Bench Bash at the Arnold this past weekend and had very poor performance as I bombed with my opener of 446lbs. I'm making no excuses for my failure there as I've been competing for about 10 years in this sport and should've done several things differently. This is the second time I've bombed in my entire Powerlifting history (and hopefully the last) but the previous was in a 3 lift competition and that bomb was in the Deadlift. I'll be competing again in May at the I.P.F. Bench Worlds and thought I'd start a thread outlining everything between my recent failure at the Arnold to my hopefull success at the Worlds where I will be defending my world champ title. I have done minimal training since returning home this past Monday but will have my first big workout tomm. I'll be posting my workouts as they happen and hope to have any comments/suggestions from any and all fellow lifters. Any Powerlifter whose bombed can agree its a horrible feeling but when you fall off the horse you just got to brush yourself off and hop right back on. Train Hard everyone!

welcome to the forum mike, Ive actually participated in a meet with you. It was the adau nationals when they were held in cattasaqua ( im thinking somewhere around 06 or 08). I know the feeling of bombing it is extremely demoralizing. good luck with your training, Im anxious to see your logs.
