What's with all the T&A in mags these days? Seems like it's getting worse. Who here likes it? Now I don't mind some magazines that are, uh, dedicated to that, but really, is it needed in bodybuilding magazines?

I personally don’t buy mags as everything you could possibly need to educate yourself in this world is on-line but I won’t be the first or last guy to tell ya, sex sells.

It's the age old theory that constantly holds true... Sex sells...

Especially in this business.

Sex sells... Is this really true or is it just a well-worn cliche in advertising?

Think of it this way.....

What would you rather look at? A guy holding a product with a tough look on his face, or a gorgeous woman with a beautiful face and knockout body holding the product next to her copiously oiled chest?

I like it, but its been a while since I picked up a magazine. But the fact remains, I still like it

I have been known to appreciate a beautiful female form, lol. But truth be told, when I see a company, any company, resorting to these tricks, most of the time I don't have much respect for them. It's way too easy.

I think I know what you are getting at with this Beo... Not that it's bad for the sport because believe me, as a woman, I don't mind opening up the mags to see the female physique as something I strive to achieve. Even the oiled up 'kini pics don't particularly bother me. A well built physique is beautiful in either gender. It does get a little nervy with me when they have that certain "look" on their faces when performing a set... I just think to myself, "I hope to hell I don't make that face when I'm lifting".... ((Please don't push it ladies, you can get the respect WITHOUT pursing the lips))...LMAO

To each his own, but I wouldn't worry about that getting on the front cover for sales, per se.... IF it does, then in so many words, they are "begging" for readers...

Nothing wrong with presenting female physiques as something aspirational. I was talking about ads which present the female physique in a less flattering, objectifying way.

You know why I'm here? Because I cut out every Animal ad I found from M&F and pinned it to my basement wall across from my bench. It stoked a fire in me that I'm fanning to nuclear hot. There's no bikini adds in my cellar dungeon. I don't need inspiration for a forearm workout. I'd rather rack the iron and stare at some truth between sets. I'm in this for me.

Give it a shot next time you go to the gym and see what happens...could make a difference ;)

Eye candy of that sort is simply another type of T-booster...

I don't disagree with this at all;) I wasn't talking about the implications of said eye candy use in the magazines to sell, lol.
