What's the best you ever got that was lifting-oriented?

Only thing I got lifting oriented was for Christmas. I got a weight lifting belt and some protein, that was actually pretty much all I got for Christmas, but hey - It's what I needed.

The best gift I ever got was when I was a lazy 14 year old sitting on his ass all day and my dad told me to get the fuck up and go to the gym.

I like that... I was told by a boss that I looked like I was gaining weight as he pointed to his belly... wasn't x-mas but I feel ya on the gift... haven't looked back since...

When I was young, my pops handed me a blank notebook and told me I was a tabula rasa... That it was up to me to decide what would be written about me. It was my first training journal and I have it to this day. What I do, what I accomplish will determine how I make my mark in this world.

My dad bought me a 160 pound set of weights from Sears when I was 14. That was 43 years ago and I still have them.

Senior Yr. of Highschool my moms hooked me up with two months worth of supplements for Christmas. I was set up phat after that because I was two months ahead of the game and saved all my cash to buy supps in the months after that.

Ma Dukes gave me a gym membership for my birthday, the summer before my junior year in high school and I've never looked back. God bless that lady. Peace, G

there is an old school powerlifter that has a few records around our neck of the woods, and he gave me his old, thick slab of leather, dried sweat and curling up on the edges lifting belt. i also need to head down to his place and pick up his rock of ages weight machine. you know, the old school one that you stack plates on but still moves like silk.
