neither.
push/pull/legs.
shoulders are done on "push" day. overhead press + side raise. rear delt on "pull" day

Either split will be fine, as well as incorporating a three day split instead. If you do go the four day split route, just make sure your push day and shoulders day aren't consecutive. Personally, I'd go this route:
Legs
Push
Pull
Shoulders

how about this for a 4 day split:
chest and tris
legs
back and bis
shoulders and traps

Here is a push/pull/legs routine that I have used many times in the past. If you looking for size and strenght stick in the 4-6 rep range.
Push:
Incline Barbell Bench
Flat Dumbbell Bench
Flat Dumbell Fly
Military Press
SkullCrushers
Cable Pressdowns
Pull:
Barbell Row
T-Bar Row
Deadlift
Lateral Raise
Barbell Curl
Dumbell Curl
Legs:
Box Squats
Leg Press
Leg Extensions
Stiff-Leg Deadlifts
Leg Curl
Calf Raises
