What's up brothers...I just recently joined a semi-professional football team in down south texas...we begin in late Feb, and im right in the trenches with the big country boys (lineman) and i was wondering if you could help me in what strength training exercises you all may have done which would help me benefit in moving 280+ lbs of able bodies. Any things better than nothing. thanks a bunch.

http://www.defrancostraining.com/articles/articles.htm this is a great program for football players that I utilized in high school. You dont have to follow it perfectly, but you could use it for guide lines when you start your routine. Good Luck man.

Yo idle, do explosive lifts like deads, squats, cleans snatches.

Good luck on the season. Hit the weights hard and hit your opponents harder.

Atlas hooked you up with all you need, I was ready to jump on this with a Defranco link...but he got me. I can't say enough about the guy hes done incredible things for college, pro and even some HS athletes, alot of the sucess stories you hear in the pro leagues are his clients. If you get a chance, check out the section of his page with the results some of them have achieved.

What ever you choose to do, I suggest you make sure that you are doing a sort fo powerbuilding routine, with an emphasis on dynamic strength. Use whatever it takes, bands, Olympic lift etc.

Feel free to email me if you get stuck, keep us updated.

Why don't you start a training log?
