So what the fuck happened? On the 4th rep of 270 the fucking lights almost went out...no shit..I racked the bar and next thing I know I am squating with my hands on the bar, staring at the floor...
Not sure what happened..I think that I was holding my breath, although I was giving a little shout at the end to make sure that I was not doing that...who knows....Stripped some weight and took 225 for a spin, but i could not shake the cob webs...still cant, so I called it a night...

Still doing cardio and running the zero carb diet, going to see it threw till the end and then start eating like a powerlifter, the body fat is much lower...

My arch needs a lot of work, the 1st reps is nice, but quickly goes to shit..last rep is usally flat...power off chest is good, nice even speed..155 was a bit slower than I wanted, but better than last week...bands next week should help speed off chest..

So i posted some goals in my sig...These are short term and I feel that I can break them on my heavy single day in two weeks. The weight is flying and these are very doable....I will try to post up five week goals before ever wave...I do four weeks of 5x5 and then a max week using heavy dbls and singles...Well that is the plan for right now...These goals may seem low to some of you, but keep in mind, this is after only 4 weeks of powerlifting..So with that in mind, I will be temperary satified with those number...
So Nightshift asked why I got away from bodybuilding and over to the darkside..I dont think that I posted it, so here goes...I was starting to follow G's powerbuilding methods, using heavy, low reps followed by lighter, high reps to burn out the mucsle...In doing this I got bit by the bug. I am a greedy muther and I want more and more...I have a ton of free time to think about this while sweating to death on the mouse wheel...I saw myself in a meet before I ever saw myself on the stage in posing trunks...My personailty is one of raw, brute power, nothing pretty about it....So here I am...I do plan to compete next year and am training for a bench/deadlift comp next year...

The diet...I still have 5 weeks left on the current zero carb diet, I will finish that out..I plan on taking a break, I looked back last night and I will have been on a cal restricted diet of some sort for over 6 months...Time for a break...I will keep the carbs in check the best I can and keep the cardio in the mix, but I will raise the cals to get all the power I can out of my body...
Right now I am still running the zero carbs, but upped the cals, I should be over 3,000 right now...I cant wait to start eating my oats for breakfast again...LOL...

So no deads tonight...between working my ass off all day and picking up baby furniture on the other side of town, I ran out of time and juice..Bench tomoroww it also on the back burner. My mom is coming over to help get the house ready for the baby, and if I tell her I am going to the gym, she will cut my balls off...Looks like Sunday a full day at the gym....lol....jonesing big time....

Those unassisted dips will shoot your bench through the roof man. Just take as many sets as you need to get to 15. If it takes 5 sets, so be it. Before you know it, you'll be doin' 'em all in one set, then you can shoot for 30. Dips are the shit for gaining bench strength, as they work every muscle needed for a strong bench. I loves me some heavy dips.

Stacy spent the night in the hosipital, no worries she is ok, this was the fastet way to get an MRI and a consult from the neurologist about these headaches she has had...The neurologist thinks that they are just migrines, hopefully hormonail due to the preganacy....The baby is doing great...I will keep you all up to date...
No squats last night, cause they did not have a rack in the hositital room..If I cant get in tonight, I will do them on wensday with DE bench, box squats...should be ok...

So Stacy is still in the hosipital. She is doing well, and wants to go home in the worse way. The MRI suckes ass, but she got thru it. She lost part of her mukus plug today..for those that dont know, that plugs the cervix and keeps the baby safe from the envornment...1st level of defence, so she could have the baby pretty much any time now...I will keep you all in the loop...

Thanks bro, means a lot to have you guys to lean on...As of last night, all is well, still no word on the MRI results, but the nurse said that they are quick to tell you when something is wrong and not when something is ok..The headache meds that they are giveing her is working well, for a couple of hours, but that is better than nothing....No contractions yet, but they could start at anytime....

So the diet is over, a little earlier than expected, but it is what it is....Money was a driving factor, but it was time to eat for real again...after 6 months, I had enough...
So I will be going low carb, high protien and see how that does...I will watch the belly to keep the fat at bay, making adjustments as I go...
Fresh veggies and fruit along with dairy are all making a come back..
Time to get strong...
Dropped between 30-40 lbs - the scale had me anywhere between 275-285...but at least 4 inches off waist and clothes are all super baggy....

I got some training manuals from EleiteFTS (there were a buck a pop)..It was good to read what a squat should feel like, where the bar should ride...So I put that in to pratice...I was placing the bar too high, I lowered it and could feel a huge difference....Using The Brute restablization idea, I did regula squats after the box squats to feel the changes I had made...and the feel really good, nice and strong....next time I will place some plates on the floor to "lower" the box a bit...

So the diet is over, a little earlier than expected, but it is what it is....Money was a driving factor, but it was time to eat for real again...after 6 months, I had enough...
So I will be going low carb, high protien and see how that does...I will watch the belly to keep the fat at bay, making adjustments as I go...
Fresh veggies and fruit along with dairy are all making a come back..
Time to get strong...
Dropped between 30-40 lbs - the scale had me anywhere between 275-285...but at least 4 inches off waist and clothes are all super baggy....

So no squating today...we spent the whole day at the hospital...same old story..Mom and Baby are ok, just the headache and the blood pressure...
So Sunday I went over to a member of the Grip Board house...Aaron...one strong dude...there was 3 of us, Aaron, Derick (a 15 yearold kid, but strong as hell) and me.....We did some grip training..Started with grippers....I closed the Captain of Crush #2 pretty easily...so the next stop is the #3, which would be along the lines of Munrde, who was the youngest to close a #3 in each hand at the same time....very fucking cool....
The highlight of my day was the one hand deads using a v-bar...

you grip it and pull it up...I did 200# to a full lock out and 210# to about an inch off the floor...pretty cool....oh yea...left handed..for some reason it just felt better in the left hand....
Also did some axle deads, using a 2" thick bar..pulled 295 really easy, but that thick bar is a monster...I almost dropped it....cool shit...grip strength is on the rise....my bending still sucks ass, need more work there...big arms make it harder....COOL!!!...

Thanks bro, I did well on the diet, maybe took of...10-15 lbs...but still manages to keep my strenght gains up...I did not weight all my food out and did not follow it as written...it may be a good idea to follow it as written...I think more fish is the key to the diet, i was eating more chicken and beef...fish gets pricy out here in the desert...

Don't worry B, where there's a will, there's a way, baby or not. I got a 3 year old at home, and my girl's new job has caused me to have only one time to lift during the week, 5 30AM. I didn't even know that time existed. The real problem is that I don't get home until 9, 9:30, so I'm only getting roughly 6-7 hours of sleep a night. Try to catch up on the weekends. You'll do fine, just make sure that newbie and the mommy are priority numero uno! Treat them as such, and when times are hard, she'll understand and help you to get in your workouts.

Had the baby shower this weekend...Baby girl will not need any clothes for about a year I think...Took my car and the bosses truck to get it all home...Fun time, good friends and family...lots of love to momma and Kaydee...
I spent the weekend working on my YOKE.....in other words...eating like a pig...cake, sandwiches, cake, 1/2 gallon of milk...too much shit...
Going to get back on the wagon soon....Sgt Rock's Blue Collar Eating looks like it will fit the bill...J-Rock has a great powerlifting diet on the main site as well...pre-workout meal of chicken and mac & cheese sounds really good....
My lower back as been stiff and sore as hell for almost two weeks now...going to do some Jump-band stretches tonight and see how they work...after my stove moving workout...hahaha....

Sorry if I hijacked, but it means "dynamic effort." A dynamic effort day is where you perform one of the big three lifts with light weight and focus on speed of the movement. This trains your CNS to move the bar faster, and will have a huge carry over into your max effort poundages. A great example of the benefits of dynamic effort training is to watch Andy Bolton's 1,003 pound pull (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNvONtw-94g) - watch how fast the bar comes off the floor even with the amount of weight on it.

Bro, back off on the front felt work. the last thing you want is to over train your shoulders. Shoulder press once a week, along with some side and rear delt work should be plenty. You could very well cut out the shoulder presses and be fine. Think of how much pressing you do already... No reason to kill yourself.

The 54/month was for two people...the new gym is 50 a month, but for what equipment there is, it is more than worth it....It is really weird, I know here at work, if a customer decided to go elas where or we have not heard from them for a while, we call and see what is up, every little bit is cash on the table...
