The 54/month was for two people...the new gym is 50 a month, but for what equipment there is, it is more than worth it....It is really weird, I know here at work, if a customer decided to go elas where or we have not heard from them for a while, we call and see what is up, every little bit is cash on the table...

Breakfast -
Nanner RG w/Water, 3 small nanners, three big scoops of yougart, 1/2 cup of oats, big scoop of PB

Snacks - (twice a day)
Apple, 2 scoop protien shake in water, scoop of PB

Lunch -
2 chicken thighs, rice and green beans (like a cup of each)

Dinner - not sure yet, last night was huge pork chop, rice and green beans....

Going to try to add tuna and egg salad samiches to my snacks, each type once a day....

Food, it's whats for dinner...

Thanks Will, did the math yesterday, taking in around 4,000 cals a day...added some eggs to bring the protien to about 300g, 1g/pound...thinking I need to adjust the carbs a bit, getting a bit fat again....need to hit up some cardio...yuck...LOL...

LOL, yeah cardio sucks. Make sure that when you have a heavy ME day coming up that you are upping the cals, like the night before if you lift in the am, or the morning if you lift in the pm. As long as you upp your cals in a smart way (Brown rice, sweet potatos, more protien) you should be good to go. Remember, with heavy loads you are burning a hell of a lot of cals.

If you lower the carbs, make sure you got the fats to replace them...natty PB baby!!!! LOL

Love the natty PB...eat 4 tbsps a day currently...right now I eat big every day, but that is a good idea to back off a bit on the off days.....

Stacy is going to be working at night, so I may have to adjust my split, did not get to work out last night, stayed home with a killer headache, and then had to fix mom's water heater again...fucking POS.....so tonight I will squat and pull, 1st time I have ever done that, will be intersting...thinking of bands on the squats and speed deads, back feels good, need to fine tune the form...then tomorrow will be DE bench, again, fine tuning the form, not sure if I will work bands or not yet.....no work out on Friday....so saturday, hopefully will be ME bench....

Last year I couldn't figure out what I wanted, but now that PL mode is on blast, it's not even Halloween and I've got it all done already. Thinking of a monster band pack, a good few pounds of chain, Convict wraps, and an Inzer belt. Dream come true. Then gonna take the money I get from Christmas and buy some good wrestling shoes and build 1-5 boards. Should open a freakin' gym after that!

Sweet bro. I built my own boards, ran me about $10 at Home Depot for the supplies and I cut them myself.

Bands will really help all your lifts, but make sure that you "restabalize" after you do a band session, i.e. take a lighter weight w/no bands and do a couple sets, I have just recently started this and it helps the CNS readjust. APT has some good deals on Bands. Crank the tension up and it gets crazy, LOL.

Bands are the shit bro, it is like trying to push the weight threw water or molasses. makes the negs hard as hell, and works the stablizers like mad, fun comes when you take the bands off and re-stablize....LOL....having all the equipment is awesome, the right tools for the job....Convicts will probley be my next purchace, along with a singlet...trying to stay way form the belt as long as I can....

I was really suprised how smooth it went, felt really good, nice wide stance, and then the re-stablation was awesome, like I had a spring up my ass, just exploded out of the hole....I just did the math right now and am shocked at the tensions...very cool.....Thanks Will.....

Got my sled parts cut and formed yesterday, should get it all welded next week...love my job...hahaha....the sled is a simple base, like the westside or efs sled, with two pipes on the back (instead of one in the middle) like a prowler, very simple...reading this great article on the bennies of using an ankle strap....going to add that to the x-mas list.....

With the heavier bands you want to use massive weight so you can acclimate to it. If you have a good spotter throw the weight on and go for it, but you dont wanna get buried, LOL!!!

LOL, when you have the big bands you have to put the bar into the bands and then load the bar with weight from there...it can get pretty hairy and you need a couple people to help, LOL!

Just remember, with boards, your movement should never change. You want to do the same bar path as if your were going to do a complete lift to chest. I seem to have that problem. As I'm told, you want to lift THROUGH the board, not TO it!!

We stacked: 1,2,3,4,5,6 boards and did 5 reps WITHOUT pause on each one for a total of 30 reps. Talk about a tricep BURN!!!! You gotta try that if you haven't already. What a GREAT way to end a bench workout.

Sorry, I forgot to anwser part of your question. I am for now a RAW lifter, I want to make sure that I have a good, strong base before I get in to geared lifting. I want to reach 400+ on bench before I climb in to a shirt.

I'd rather build a solid base first then put the shirt on. See how much your numbers go up then!!!! Equipment PLUS technique is the name of the game!! Equipment isn't "a miracle cure, YOU must control the weight regardless of raw or equipped. If you don't got what it takes underneath the equipment, it ain't gonna do shit for ya!!!!

The SSB has you at a different angle than regular placement of the bar on your back. I know Big Dog uses the SSB to protect his shoulders. The SSB has you at a different angle than regular placement of the bar on your back. I know Big Dog uses the SSB to protect his shoulders. Forgot to mention..I have to adjust my diet, I am getting too FAT....So I am going to cut down on the carb on my off days. Only carrbs will be in my morning shakes. I will be adding cardio back in to the mix. I am back up to 313#, not too much fat, but enough to make me unconfortable about it...Strenght is threw the roof, so the cals will stay up....Any suggestions will be greatly appreacited...

So two days with min carbs and I feel so much better, not as bloated and gross...not sure if I have dropped any weight or not, Stacy has been working the last few nights, so I have been home babysitting....

Finished my sled yesterday and hope to give it a go tonight, I think Stacy is off, so that will leave me free to wake the neighbors...LOL...I will get some pics up of it soon....I call the the PP Special....

Got the sled out for it maiden voyage. Found a few flaws in the design, well one really...The base is a peice of 3/16" thk steel plate. I would have never beleived this if I had not seen it with my own eyes...When you load some weight on the sled, grab the handles and give it a push, the damn plate flexes and you go NOWHERE. The pipe handles are 30" tall. So all the football players will know how to overcome this issue right?....GET LOWER....I grabbed the pipes about half wa down and was able to overcome the problem. I will add some support to it and see how that works...

All in all one hell of a work out, short and sweet...

Street in front of my house, property line to property line (80-100 feet)

2 trips (one trip is just once across) empty sled (34#)
2 trips with 44#
4 trips with 79# (all the plates I have)

All trips pushed, took me back to highschool and the 5 man sled, I loved that thing, even when I did not play any more, I would still hit the sled. I will run the same weight for a week or so and then start to add more, will have to use bricks...

Man, the difference between work and play. Growing up my Dad had me dragging a 80lb piece of railroad steel over our truck patch to smooth the soil down before planting. I loathed doing that. Now I wish I had the room to do it on a regular basis. Ha.

Just a thought, do you have any cinder blocks laying around too? That might work on your sled and they're heavier than bricks. I love the "old school" equipment. Kinda reminds me of Rocky IV when he went to Russia. LOL.

Today's session was not lost B, you found your weakness so now fuckin' attack it brother! GM's will be your best bet for this, using a camber bar will really put all the load on your lower back. Keep plugging away at the rack pulls, try to use different heights every time you're gonna use them. Speed deads will also make getting to lockout that much easier so you can conserve energy to blast through your sticking point. I am new to powerlifting like you but I'm just trying to lend a hand, so best of luck to you brother.

BTW, your sled looks awesome! I've been saving up for the Prowler for a little bit now and will probably place an order for one after Christmas so I can pool any gift money towards it. That cinder block idea is really great, do you know any other shit I can use to load it up? Also, if I do sled drags with the Prowler, is the weight distributed the same as a regular sled?

Weight on the Prowler might "feel" a bit lighter cause it is going to have less friction. It has 3 smaller contact points as aposed to a regular sled that has on large one...But all in all...weight is weight, once you are tugging it, you should not feel any differance, and by the second or third trip it wont matter...LOL....

nice work with the PRs.....gotta love it when you hit them. those landmines will help with the squats/deads also, its an awesome builder for the ab region and if you have a slight bend in your legs it also indirectly hits the hip flexors which aid in all of the Big 3....keep going strong B

B- come on now....... Shoot for AT LEAST 1,000 total!!!!! lol. I know you can do it. You've put in the time, volume, sweat, and dedication to not settle for anything less. Just wait till meet day, when your adreneline is pumping sooo hard you can feel it through every pore of your being!! That kind of "pump" is like nothing you've felt before, and will allow you to just tear the shit out of the weight. Just make sure... since you're doing a 3 lift meet, to pack ALOT of food to sustain you through out the day. That's the key to staying strong.

Do you have you list prepared of what foods you're going to bring? Time to start it now!!

I totaly agree with ya, this is a push/pull so I am taking my best gym squat and adding that to the total. 1,000 plus would be very cool and actually if...sorry...WHEN I hit my bench and deads where I want them, I will have a 1,030 total.....I have not thought about the food yet, it is a small meet that goes pretty quick, what suggestions do you have in mind. As maybe the only superheavy weight in the comp, I may be going last, they did the order by BW last time and not attempt weight....

So, I was to hit my dead opener tonight....here is what went down...

My old friend, back pain set in again. I cleaned off the bar and called it a day. I was going to do some SLDL's to stretch out the back and hammies, no go, did one set of 10 with an empty bar.

It is almost like I have forgotten how to dead lift, it feels like shit...the one rep of 315 felt like i fucking straight legged it, thus the back pain. So at this point I am not sure if I will pull in the meet or not..which sucks big ass, but I would rather not pull and make the problem worse, re-gather and hit it hard at another time....

20 mins of cardio and home to eat...

Squating to the correct box height is much harder than not...LOL...My numbers will be a little lower on the box squats due to having the right equipment, was using a regular flat bench at the old gym, that is proving to be too high....felt good, was not trying to go too heavy, easy on the back..It is major stiff, as are my hammies (connections there?),,,

Foam roller felt great, only place it really hurt like hell was the lower back.....

Weird schedule this week, with the holiday, quick trip out of town, and Stacy's working...
Monday - squats
tuesday - speed bench and some medium weight pause work
Sunday - deads/back - pushing off till sunday for the extra rest on the back
