Hey Universal Guys,

When we buy your products from places like Netrition, FitnessONE, ProSource, or any wholesaler for that matter, is it robbing you guys of money? I feel kind of bad now that I'm so close with everyone here on the forum and now that I see how cool and helpful all you Universal guys are to us.

i thought this at first too, but there have a few threads on this in the last couple days. basically it's like this. the wholesalers buy in bulk and sell to us at cheaper prices. animal pak is still gettin money for their product just not as much. it's like going to sams club and buying a super size box of cereal for alot less.

Like most business models, there are a few ways to get products in the hands of the ultimate consumer. While we are able to buy Universal Products directly from the company today, my guess is they have historically gotten to the consumer through distrubution, ie the other folks you've listed. Universal needs these folks to reach a much broader market. In fact, even today, the actual consumer can't buy from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), they buy through distribution.

There's already been a thread on this:

But to answer your question, don't worry, Universal is still getting all their money.

This has been addressed several times in other posts, so i'm gonna close it down. we're not mad or upset, just trying to keep the playground clean for new posts.
