Vinny was contacted by some guys in the military and he asked Universal Nutriton to hook them up, this is an email from some of our brothers in arms:
Vin,
I can’t say thanks enough! I really appreciate you talking to your sponsor and sending out some stuff to us! I’ve been using Animal Paks for most of the deployment and my other guys use some of the other products too. I collected up some of the other Universal Products from my guys and took a picture. The guys in the picture are the main ones that I work out with just about every day. The guy standing behind me is my Sergeant Major the guy next to him is a Staff Sergeant that works for me. The guy kneeling next to me is also a Staff Sergeant that works for me and then there I am, I’m a Gunnery Sergeant. I tried to make the picture like an advertisement The sun kind of bleached out a couple of the pictures that we took in the gym. The flag in the picture will be on a flight on one of my helicopters tomorrow and when it gets back, I’m going to fly it on the flag pole that we have out front. I want to fly to a flag to represent the freedom that we as Americans believe in and stand behind. I hope that you can find a place in your gym and look to it for that extra strength when you are tired. That is what I do with the flag that I hung in our gym out here. It gets me motivated to keep pushing!!

Awesome. Any support we can lend to these heroes laying it on the line is a wonderful thing.
There are some jacked up dudes over there holding it down. Very impressive to have that kind of physique under such conditions.
Peace, G

Wow those are some real animals. JUst to know they are still pumping iron living the animal lifestyle under such conditions makes me so blessed. It truly makes any life issues feel so miniscule.
Awesome.....much respect to our military brothers and sisters overseas. I don't know if I could do what they do.

x2 You guys look great. Does Uncle Sam forbid any kind of supps? Or do they not care what you take while in the service?

Yes, and if there is suspect testing will be done... In the medical field, it is done a bit more regularly, to ensure that we are not "dipping into the pharmacy supplies"... Anything sold at the PX/BX (GNC) is easily allowed...

Wow, Im not in that picture for sure... I cant even see them, they got Photobucket blocket at our FOB, but Im in Afghanistan and I have had a lot of support from this site, not necessary in supps, but in advise especially from Ox (Evan).
As far of supps, our BN CDR went as far as saying that he dnt want us using any supplements... and he said that he considered protein a supplement too... well, I have ordered about $400 worth of Animal supps in the last 2 months and I got them stashed in my VHUT... I hope they dnt do a Health and Wellfare, I might be classified as a smuggler with the amount of supplements that I have. I'll try to get a picture and post it here tonight (4am) once I get off shift. Thanks for all the support you guys give us, Im proud to be a small part of this family!
Back in the day, I had some creatine in a ziplock that I would take to the gym and mix with water. Had a health and welfare and they thought it was coke for a while. I tried to explain that if I had a kilo of coke sitting around I'd be out selling it and not working there. No one seemed to amused by that.

2 things to keep in mind, usually medical units don't mind you taking supplements, my NCOIC would see results in my body, so he said go for it, most of the old school big ranking fellas, just want you to deliver the goods, thats it. Make friends with big ranking guys/gals, i.e. First Sergeant, Commander, etc. and you're good. Most of the time in Active Duty or being deployed i never got any grief for taking supplements, especially now me being a SSG, i'll tell them to shove it if they gave me grief, especially when its legal, healthy, good for you, and is available on the civilian market, RANK HAS ITS PRIVILEGES, do correspondence courses!

Well, I have never had any superior giving us grief till now... I just think it is the BC and his biased decisions... but that is my opinion along. As far as rank, the 1SG and the CDR are just puppies to what the BC say.. if they say JUMP they JUMP! They dnt stand up for us, as long as they are making the higher happy and getting good ratings on their NCOER and OER (haven't you notice that trend??? after most of them make E-9 or Field grade is all about the ratings... bad rating you go no higher on the food chain) they are good to go. Im a promotable SSG, waiting for my sequence to come down, and even one of our SFC and CW2 took their supplements and stash them on their working areas. So it is an isolated case. LIke I say, in my 20+ years including the Guard time I have never seen so many idiots in charge. It is the first time Im attached to (or part of) a BCT so that might be the case.
