I just want to say "Thank you." Not enough people do that anymore.
Whenever I get the urge to just NOT do something, I think about my cousin overseas and think about how he really doesn't have a choice. And to all you Animals over there, finding time to lift weights after carrying heavier weights on your backs all day, and to your dedication to this great sport, I think I speak for everyone here at animalPak when I say "Thank you."
Show your love everybody, these are some TRUE warriors!

Thanks Bros. This thread is the shit. I'm in the Marine Corps and ya man i actully felt like more discplined out there in the gym than back home. Like that and my family was my major focus. oh this time they actully had a real chow hall and i could eat some semi real food last time i went we were down to 1 MRE a day i was there for the first war how fun. well bros let me tell you right now the gyms have improved over my lifting sandbags. but let me you tell you trying to lift when the few ac's we had goes out ya nothing like lifting weights in 130 degree weather and the bar is burning your hands yes. love it

I was in the first part of iraq with the 4th Infantry Division, yeah I remember when we were down to 1 mre a day and 2 bottles of water a day,me and some others used ammo cans as weights, then when bn got some weights we would kick out all the REMF's when we got back from missions so we could lift. we used the weights as a sort of outlet to calm down.
since I returned in march of 04, i was DA selected to be a drill sergeant down here on sand hill, training the new guys to go over . I got 8 more months til I can return to a line unit . It is really hard to watch the news and see what is going on and know that the whole story is not being put out. I got mucho respect for all the VOLUNTEERS who go over there, I see them when they get off the bus straight from mama's house and i see them when they graduate as Infantrymen. I am proud to be an american because of them and cant wait til i get a chance to fight next to them again.
God Bless America, and God Keep our Defenders

I am not military, but I am over here in Iraq working as a firefighter on a base. I gotta say that it really does make me proud to be an American to be over here and see all these great people doing what they do. Also to get a chance to help keep these men and women safe when they are back at the fort is an honor. ohyah and if i did a fire inspection on anyone's CHU's or bunks, don't hate, just trying to keep you guys safe.
Protecting those who protect peace.
I'm also active duty, currently deployed overseas.
I'd like to say thanks for all the support that the Animalpak.com community has shown us.
Trust me when i tell you that with all the frustration and stress that come along with this job, it is the Iron that keeps us sane. A simple task with unchangeable rules: Move the weight or it will Crush You.
I love that.
This community has always had our back, and we are the better for it. For that, WE thank YOU.

Yeah I just got out after completing my 8 years. I have a real simple outlook on everything. You dont have to support this war, but you can still support the soldiers, airmen, seamen, and marines! Carry on my brothers and sisters!
Stay strong, stay safe, and if your ever round my way lets have a drink and talk about a job well done!

Some of the greatest people in my life are those who serve in the military. I thank them at every opportunity I get...I wear a POW bracelet - that I never take off for anything - from the Vietnam War so I never forget what was given for me to be who I am today...
Thanks to all those who have served and to those who are serving and to those who will be serving.

Thanks Man. That is really good to hear. Nowadays there are too many people who think negative of us and what we are doing so anytime I hear someone giving us praise, it really makes me happy and proud to be serving my country. I have been over there 3 times and I know first hand that we are accomplishing something over there. To all my fellow service members at home and abroad, Be Safe and thanks for serving by my side.

Thanks Brothers,
I spent a total of 14 months deployed and I was fortunate enough to have something that resembled a gym at least half of the places I was at. At times, it was the only thing that kept me sane. To escape from the reality and the chaos of what was happeng there, if only for a few hours, the gym was a solace. The focus and determination during a ball-busting workout mirrored the focus and determination exhibited on a daily basis by all of us serving there. Becasue of that, I and some of my fellow soldiers made strength gains and broke through barriers we never thought possible. We always knew we had the support of our country back at home and no matter how many times you hear it, "Thank you" never gets old.

At times when Iam beat down and feel exhausted and ask myself "WHY AM I LIVIN THIS LIFE, MAYBE I SHOULD GIVE UP?" But hell no, I think about our warriors over seas, and think to myself these warriors wouldn't give up during there battles and they probably have it harder then we do. I sleep on the floor every night and sometimes i get pissed and think i have it hard but my life compared to what our service men and women go through is heaven. So dont complain brothers, remember it can always be worst.
I just wanna thank our troops for volunteering to protect us, and this whole nation. Thanks Guys! Strength and Honor! Never give up and never surrender.

As a former Marine I extend my sincere gratitude to all the guys and girls getting it done so the rest of the non hackers in this country don't have to. I also extend the same gratitude to those folks not in the military that show their support to the troops. You will never know how much it means to hear a simple "Thanks".
To those of you in the sandbox.........check six and God Speed. I wish I were there with you (I tried to reenlist but my wife said "No way asshole")

hello g-diesel, i am karthik and am in the army as a medic. I have been overseas during 2002-2004 when i was deployed. I am very grateful to great athletes like you for showing gratitude for those in the armed forces, in the same way that I am for you for working so hard to achieve your goals, and being humble despite your status quo.
Thanks for the kind words. It's our pleasure.

First off, brothers, I don't want this to become a political topic. That's got a place and all, but it ain't here.
I had a buddy from my past who joined the military and I was proud of him. He came back for a leave and was a changed man. We'd planned on getting together when he got back, but we never got the chance. It got me thinking, real hard, about what we do. Brothers, we throw words around like 'war' and 'battles' but these fellas are living the real thing. I never got the chance to tell him what I've wanted to. I wish I could've just said "Thank you."
I seen a lot of brothers on here with a location of Iraq or some other place, stationed by our military. I think all of us here at the FORVM owe all of you a debt of gratitude that we can never repay. Show them your love, brothers.
Thank you all.

Thanks bro,
I'm in Intelligence, so we kinda feel like shit bags sometimes. But, everyone's got their own part, right? Thanks for your support for the troops, we really appreciate it. They must've been pissed tonight, cos someone mortared the shit out of us....fuckers... I was right in the middle of a flat bench set when the rounds started hittin' too. No worries, we'll get 'em.
Time to get to work, man. Thanks again.
Ratch
Now...we gotta think about this brother in iron...in a fucking dangerous place...getting mortared and working out...I think we all got to support him and all the brotherhood over there for a moment...they are fighting for what they believe in...weather we believe in the war or not...we must support them in harms way...our buddies are training.....in what might be called a hostile environment...eating what they can...taking sups and trying to live the animal life. I wanted to just show you all this responce I recieved from Ratch....our brother in harms way...doing his job...under fire...and training like an animal. Its part of his training to stay in shape...but consider where he is...and his sharpness...his shape is about his being able to survive. My hat goes off to him and our brothers overseas...take a moment and say hi to them...lets take some time from what we think is a pain in our asses...and consider what it would be like to not only see some idiot at the gym take your plates off your rack...or be talking on the phone....and consider that gym being bombed and shot at...I think we all have it pretty good over here....lets send our thoughts and thanks to the brothers.....over there.....

You guys are great. I'll let my buddies know you send your support. People change their mind every day about this war, so we'll take as many fans as we can get, ya know? I'm not gonna get too far into that topic, though.
Anyhow, I got to go back and finish my workout a little later..haha! And we did end up gettin those guys...HOOAH!
Keep those weights movin' fellas.
Ratch
see brothers....he was training....got mortered....took time to nail and toast the fuckers...then got back to training..now..hows that for animal...Ratch....we send it all out to you and the others doing the job....
keep this going guys...lets keep this support flying to them....

Keep at it. Your efforts of protection is widely known in the middle east. In my view, the extermist militants are F@$ked up in the head.
I respect the efforts of American soldiers. Their pride, their ambition, their vision.
I have seen what they see everyday. And it is not pretty.
In my opinion, the constant awarness of explosions around my area keep me on my feet. I never keep my back open for a minute.

I agree with everything that has been said...whether you're for it or against it, all of our soldiers deserve our respect and gratitude...I recently saw my first powerlifting meet and there was a soldier competing who had been hurt in the war and was told he would never walk again because of something with his spine...well he was walking and competing...i've never seen something so inspirational in my life

I really really really respect that guy, he is a brave dude. Fighting for what you beleive in is truly an admirable thing, and I have the utmost respect for this individual.
Now, this is not meant to offend anyone, but I think that the United States could be the most corrupt country in the world, dont get me wrong, I live in the good ol' USA, but I completley disrespect some of the choices that are made in the United States, we should not be in Iraq right now, Arnold should not be the governer of CA, education is not the way it should be, if only you knew all the hidden evils of education you would know what I'm talking about, I'm not gonna go on, but this is a subject that I feel strongly about
sorry if i offended anyone, just one of the subjects that I NEED to share my opinion about
