while dealing with fever, sinus infection, overall feeling weak. Should I just suck it up and hit the weights or rest?

On these days just don't expect to put up your normal weights. I workout when I'm sick like that just for the sake of working out. I just don't feel right when I don't workout because I look forward to it and just want to go get pumped up. My advice is to workout if you're like me... if not take some Nyquil and try to sleep it off.

My advice would be to take off until you feel better. If you're not 100% in the gym then you're just pissin' in the wind. Working out may also make it take longer to swing back into health. You're best off just taking off right now and coming back into it when you're back to full strength

I read this before and it has worked for me. i know that when i dont feelt he best or even if it just a headache i dont skip my workout at all. the activity of burning fat and sweating helped to get rid of the illness faster and easier because your body is working on forcing out the toxins in your body while you are hitting the weights. so even if you dont feel the best doing your workout or some sort of physical activity will greatly help

Everything he said and make sure you get alot of rest. One thing I like to do when sick is drink stuff with electrolytes in it to stay hydrated and have something with vitamin C.

hey i feel your pain and all up untill recently i wouldve told you to quit being a pussy and train. but about 2 months ago i got a pretty bad cold and kept on training ended up escalating into double ear infections sinus infections fever and bronchitis, i was a dumass kept training and almost got mono. ended up having to take 2 whole weeks off of training. and then 1 week of really light training and now im just getting back to training hardcore. swallow your pride tell your brain to shutup cause i know your gonna hate not going to the gym i sure did.. but stay home drink tons of fluid take vitamin C, 2 paks a day, garlic pills and echanacea as many times as you can and sleep. hopefully you can kick your sickness. also when first coming back to the gym take a few days light so your adrenal system doesnt go haywire on you.

bro just take a few days off... because if your not 100% in the Gym it's not worth it.. It's not a bad thing to take a break once in awhile every 3 months take a week off help everything bounce back.. so let's just call this your 1 week off.. so make sure you're back in the gym and giving it a 110% when your feeling better

Thanks for the help guys. I will take a couple days off. I think I got this way from trying to push through a cold or flu or whatever I had.

Much appreciated

not to mention everyone else in the gym would probably appreciate you staying off the equipment until your no longer contagious.

it you cant go 100%..then stay home and rest....we never really get a good pump while sick...and getting others sick as well....so...heal up....take your sups and keep your mind on the iron...stay on the forum...read all your Muscle mags...and get well bro......no harm in healing....

hey bro, if your sick, your sick, take a few days off and dont spread the bug to everyone else in the gym. if anything stick to body weight exercises at home and to ensure that you dont push yourself to hard. You dont want to push to your limit and have your immune system (or what little is left) to crash out leaving you in worse shape than when you started

fever, migraine, headache, cough, tuberculosis, flu, stay off the gym...

if i go to the same gym as you do, i wouldnt wanna get infected.

When i get sinus, I go swim. It kinda works and clears the nasal space... sinus unlike cold or flu, cant spread so its still safe to workout...
