View Full Version : Supplements in Iraq
Alrighty folks. They're doing a decent job of getting supplements to the stores over here in Iraq. The pickin's are slim, though, so you kinda get whatcha get. I took the liberty of ordering other supps from several different sites throughout the last few weeks and animalpak.com seems to be the only people so far that can get stuff over here in less than three weeks. Many thanks to you guys.
Some of my other buddies are wanting to order some stuff too and a month is a good bit of time to wait for the mail. I'm sure there are places that can get it here pretty quick. Anyone that's been over here before have any suggestions?
Also, I read the rules about promoting stores and stuff on the website, so if this isn't okay, my bad. Just tryin' to help out my buds over here.
animalpak.com and fitnessfirstusa.com has always been able to get things to me here in country pretty quick.

Yeah man, getting stuff shipped shipping to an APO directly takes a while, if they will even do it, depending on where you are at. It was actually easier to my bros to get the stuff and mail it to me at Balad rather than trying to order it directly online. As you know, it 's frustrating when the BK/PX only carries one or two company's products when they are not the ones you want.

I just ordered a couple cans of Pak from fitnessone.com for my brother-in-law at FOB Loyalty in Iraq. He got the package sooner than I expected. Less than $17 per can, too. ;)

I think gettin someone back home to send it to you would be quicker. I do that for my boy over there now, gets it in almost a week on the dot. This might not be the answer your lookin for but thats probabaly the fastest way, hope it helps bro stay safe.

I have had most success with having it shipped to someone in the US and having them send it.

I just got back from Al Udied, and cheapvitamins.com got stuff to me in less than two weeks every time. I usually use DPS here, but it was a blocked site at the Died. Most sites ship within two days anyways. The thing that takes so long is getting from the APO, which is usually in NY or CA, to the deployed location. There's really nothing you can do to speed up that process. It's hit and miss with AMC. Don't ever pay for priority mail though if you don't have to. Some places, like cheapvitamins.com, will make you. It'll only be priority to the APO (like I said, NY or CAL), after that, it's all on the military, not the shipping company. It could take one-two days to get to the APO, and another month to get to you from there, but you paid for priority mail anyways. That was the downside to cheapvitamins, but my options were limited thanks to the server security at the Died.

hey ratch, im down here in baghdad. most all the guys in my unit use bodybuilding.com their prices are less than most and it averages 6 days to get here. give it a try.

I was in Balad briefly was wating to go on a 96 to quatar so i had a stop there nice place

Animalpak.com: 7-10days (yay!)
Worldclassnutrition: 3 weeks (ehhh...)
Massnutrition: a little over 4 weeks (Oh yeah! I forgot I even ordered this! Cool!)
Definitely going to stick with Animal and probably give fitnessone and bodybuilding a shot eventually too. Thanks for all the help bros.

Yeah I read the posts above but honestly that's hard to believe only b/c it takes almost that to cross a couple of fuckin states! That is great news amongst the worst of it. Thanks Geek!

mind you these times are for baghdad. i was out on al asad, and it took about 14 - 19 days to get packages from the states.

I'm up in Speicher. Most of us order from BB.com or fitnessfirstusa.com. They both have great prices and usually take anywhere from 6-10 days to get here. Very rarely any longer than that. GNC can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks (plus they are expensive!)

I was in Baghdad 2 years ago and I use to use www.a1nutrition.com and they did a very good job of getting me my products and very good prices as well. Best of luck to you over there and keep getting it on in the weight room. Peace.
